I’ll admit I was really nervous at first, Molly is tiny, and there were two other dogs there, one of whom was super excited to meet a new friend. So much energy can make Molly hesitant, but Hana immediately stepped in with calm, confident leadership. She set clear boundaries to help everyone settle down, which made me feel so much more comfortable. Throughout the day, she sent me several videos showing Molly relaxed and happy, calmly hanging out with the other dogs and going for a nice walk. By the end of the day, Molly was curled up on the couch with Hana, her husband, and her two new friends, a huge sign of trust from my usually cautious little dog! Hana showed wonderful leadership, genuine care, and constant attention throughout the day. I left feeling completely reassured and grateful to have found someone so capable and kind. I’ll definitely be booking again!”

We felt completely confident leaving Vigo with her for two consecutive days while we visited Sacramento. Our dog has A LOT of energy and loves to run and play, and he was genuinely happy and very content when we picked him up both days. We couldn’t have been happier with the care Vigo received. I highly recommend Katherine to anyone with dogs of any breed or temperament. We wish she lived closer to us for regular stays but will absolutely go back to her any time we’re in the area.”

About: I have always been a dog lover, and I am now the mother of two dog-loving children. Your dog will not be short on love, affection, and play in our home! I am available full-time four days out of the week. I am available to go on walks/hikes with your dog during the week and/or weekends. I would be available for overnight stays during the weekends. I have a fenced yard, and I can easily crate your dog if needed. Your dog would be welcome to come inside our home. Your dog would not be left unaccompanied or unsupervised in our home. For dogs with good social skills, I would also be able to take them to a dog park nearby. I’m currently self-employed and often work from home. I am available everyday, except Wednesdays, to dog-sit. I regularly take my dog on walks in the morning and evening with a couple of potty-breaks throughout the day. Cinder would love some company on her walks! We have a fenced yard they can go outside. We often take breaks to play and stretch in the house. There is easy access to water in the home.

About: I have been around animals my entire life. I adore all animals and really enjoy their company. Having two fur babies of my own I know the importance of having someone you trust take care of them. I would treat your pets as if they were my own. Pets are family and should be treated with love, compassion, and respect. I have taken care of animals of all ages. I can give medication if needed. I would love to spend time with your pets when you are not able to. I currently work part time from home and have a flexible schedule. I would have plenty of time to spoil your fur babies with walks and belly rubs. I can do doggy daycare and boarding almost any day and time as long as your dog is tolerant to other dogs and is up to date on vaccinations. Playtime, walks, snuggles, and whatever else your pups or cats needs are, I am more than happy to supply them with the love and attention they need while you are away.

About: I started volunteering at the Antioch Animal Shelter in the 4th grade. Since then I have volunteered at numerous shelters and rescues, including the emergency animal shelter in Oroville after the Camp Fire. I'm Disaster Animal Rescue Team (D.A.R.T.) trained, animal CPR and first aid certified, and have years of TNR experience. I have had many exotics as pets, including a reef tank at one time. I have no issue feeding crickets and worms, but I can't feed snakes rodents. I'm a lifelong vegetarian, so that would traumatize me. Lol. I also love rodents, and currently have 2 rescue guinea pigs. Animal care and nutrition are a passion of mine. I'm also an expert teeth brusher! I brush my cats and dogs teeth every night and some of my pet sits as well. I'm very experienced giving medication, even pills to cats and my recently adopted cat Ricky is diabetic. Two of my regular cats I sit take meds, and one gets insulin injections, so I'm very comfortable with both and also know how to check blood glucose. Animals are allowed on the furniture in my home, even the bed. A couple of dogs I regularly sit sleep in the bed with me and my dogs. I treat other people's furbabies the way I would want my furbabies treated. I'm a helicopter pet parent so I totally understand how hard it is to trust someone with the ones you love. If I ever thought something was wrong with your pet I would notify you asap, and I have no issue taking an animal to the vet. I have a rescue dog who has occasional seizures and a rescue kitty with kidney disease that I give sub-q fluids to every day, so I am very comfortable with special needs animals. I'm pretty OCD when it comes to pet care. I actually have a pet thermometer and carry a microchip reader in my truck with an extra leash. You'd be surprised how many times I've used that chip reader! Being a helicopter pet parent I NEVER EVER leave an animal outside alone, not even in my fenced in yard. I don't take chances. I'm also obsessively clean, so your litter box will not be a hot mess when you return, and if your dog uses a potty pad no problem. I also have waterproof vinyl plank flooring so accidents and kitty puke is easy to clean up. :-D. When I board animals it is very much mi casa esu casa! I'm also more than happy to water plants when I do drop-ins as well, since I have them myself and am also a gardener. :-) I work from home 3 days a week and the other 2 days I come home for lunch since the office is only 2.5 miles from my house. I'm home most weekends as well. I follow the care instructions to the letter. If your pup requires a crate it must be brought with them, since mine are not crated. I am comfortable giving medication and supplements, measuring food, following a raw food diet, feeding exotics, etc. I'm also comfortable grooming for an extra fee, but will never ignore a mat in their fur or charge extra for daily grooming like toothbrushing.
