About: I started volunteering at the Antioch Animal Shelter in the 4th grade. Since then I have volunteered at numerous shelters and rescues, including the emergency animal shelter in Oroville after the Camp Fire. I'm Disaster Animal Rescue Team (D.A.R.T.) trained, animal CPR and first aid certified, and have years of TNR experience. I have had many exotics as pets, including a reef tank at one time. I have no issue feeding crickets and worms, but I can't feed snakes rodents. I'm a lifelong vegetarian, so that would traumatize me. Lol. I also love rodents, and currently have 2 rescue guinea pigs. Animal care and nutrition are a passion of mine. I'm also an expert teeth brusher! I brush my cats and dogs teeth every night and some of my pet sits as well. I'm very experienced giving medication, even pills to cats and my recently adopted cat Ricky is diabetic. Two of my regular cats I sit take meds, and one gets insulin injections, so I'm very comfortable with both and also know how to check blood glucose. Animals are allowed on the furniture in my home, even the bed. A couple of dogs I regularly sit sleep in the bed with me and my dogs. I treat other people's furbabies the way I would want my furbabies treated. I'm a helicopter pet parent so I totally understand how hard it is to trust someone with the ones you love. If I ever thought something was wrong with your pet I would notify you asap, and I have no issue taking an animal to the vet. I have a rescue dog who has occasional seizures and a rescue kitty with kidney disease that I give sub-q fluids to every day, so I am very comfortable with special needs animals. I'm pretty OCD when it comes to pet care. I actually have a pet thermometer and carry a microchip reader in my truck with an extra leash. You'd be surprised how many times I've used that chip reader! Being a helicopter pet parent I NEVER EVER leave an animal outside alone, not even in my fenced in yard. I don't take chances. I'm also obsessively clean, so your litter box will not be a hot mess when you return, and if your dog uses a potty pad no problem. I also have waterproof vinyl plank flooring so accidents and kitty puke is easy to clean up. :-D. When I board animals it is very much mi casa esu casa! I'm also more than happy to water plants when I do drop-ins as well, since I have them myself and am also a gardener. :-) I work from home 3 days a week and the other 2 days I come home for lunch since the office is only 2.5 miles from my house. I'm home most weekends as well. I follow the care instructions to the letter. If your pup requires a crate it must be brought with them, since mine are not crated. I am comfortable giving medication and supplements, measuring food, following a raw food diet, feeding exotics, etc. I'm also comfortable grooming for an extra fee, but will never ignore a mat in their fur or charge extra for daily grooming like toothbrushing.
About: I am a longtime cat and dog lover with over 25 years experience in caring for pets. I also have experience working in healthcare and love to care for senior pets, puppies, kittens and pets of all ages and sizes. I am recently retired from my 30 plus years in Healthcare and am looking forward to my dream job of providing your fur babies care in my loving home. I have a fenced yard with a nearby park in Woodlake neighborhood for outdoor fun. But most days we will be cuddling on the couch.
“Probably should warn people more of the level of anxiety he can get, were generally never out of site with one another and very rarely does He get left behind. Thanks for your time, there was only so much you could do”

“Tanisha was fantastic with my dog Morty. My dog is reactive and nervous around new dogs, and she was willing to do whatever it takes to make sure he would feel comfortable with her and her dog. We did a meet and greet, followed by a test overnight board and test daycare. It was incredible to see how well my dog settled in with her. You can tell she cares a lot about the dogs she watches. I got a lot of pictures and videos of my dog while he was with Tanisha (more than I've ever gotten from a sitter). I highly recommend Tanisha!”

“Kristen was amazing!! She took my last minute request for day care and took very good care of my dog Mochi. She was very nice and responsive, thoughtful of the way she introduced mochi to her dogs, and even proactively sent me tons of cute photos of Mochi. Would recommend !!”

“Wunna was amazing! The moment our dog, Shadow, met him, they got along and Shadow trusted him immediately. He was flexible and accommodating of our schedule. He responded to our messages quickly too, which we really appreciated.”

About: note: I primarily board and daycare puppies - check out my puppy rate (lower). Adults are at a higher rate and considere on case by case basis due to my dogs being attacked in the past. Only small/medium submissive adults will be considered. We love puppies! I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life, and they’ve always been part of the family. My home is cozy and dog-friendly, with two large pups of my own and a spacious, fenced backyard they can enjoy through a dog door while I’m home. When I’m away, all dogs stay safely inside. To keep things comfortable, I host no more than four dogs at a time (including my own). If you have more than two dogs from the same household, I may be able to make an exception depending on their size and needs. I know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your pup with someone new, so I’m happy to send daily updates and pictures to give you peace of mind. Your dog will be treated like family here! Get $20 off your first booking with me https://www.rover.com/sit/annetn64528 I work from home so I’m home most of the day. I try to limit time away from home to 4 hours a day. If I’m watching a puppy or a dog that cannot be alone for 4 hours, I can accommodate if my schedule is open. For long stays, there are some days i may be out longer than 4 hours if I have an event but I will let you know before booking. Your pup is welcome to lounge on the furniture and will receive plenty of love, attention, and playtime from me and my two dogs and will have free roam in the house. We have a communal toy bin and a spacious, fenced backyard accessible via a dog door when I’m home. When I leave, the dogs are secured inside the house. Until your pup is ready to free roam unsupervised with my dogs, they’ll have a safe, separate hallway complete with a comfy dog bed, toys, and water, so they can still see and enjoy the company of the others for the times I am not home . If your fur baby prefers a crate while I’m away, I can do that only if they genuinely enjoy their crate and look forward to settling in. If your dog enjoys walks, I’m happy to take them for a drive to a nearby park or a friendly neighborhood walk. I care about a harmonious environment, so I can only host dogs that get along well with others. My home is best suited for pups who love to play and mingle, and I currently host up to two small to medium dogs to keep things cozy. We love puppies.

“Risa was super welcoming when we arrived. She kept me updated during the stay and my doggy seemed very relaxed with Risa. She also drew an adorable picture of my doggo. Would recommend!”

“Matt was absolutely fantastic Very responsive and accommodating. Professional and friendly. Highly recommended Gerty & Wally we’re excited to play with Matt and his adorable dog Kobe. They were both happily exhausted when I picked them up. We will definitely rebook for future needs”

“Anna was so sweet and my dog Deuce was so comfortable with her. He usually has a mini melt down when I leave him but he was so happy. The coursed dinner we attended ended up taking much longer that I anticipated and Anna was so sweet and understanding when we were later to pick up Deuce than what we had scheduled. Can’t wait to use her again!”

“Happy I found Martha to take care of Niko. She responds in a timely manner & very flexible with my last minute requests. She ask all the important questions to assure she provides the best care for your fur-child. My shy Niko and her sweet pup Misty got along really well hanging out for the first time. Niko enjoyed his stay with Martha & her family!”

Athena was happy to stay with Janessa. We got cute photo and updates during the day which was really helpful for us because Athena is not used to stay away from us. We had to prolong her stay for a couple of hours and Janessa was super understanding and helpful.

Heath Bar didn’t make it easy - he barked the entire time at Danielle’s unless she was there with him, I k ew he had separation anxiety but the only time it presented for the last several years was while he was alone in the car. His being alone in the house was not a problem for him. My take away is to be certain someone will be at home with him for most of the time he will be in someone else’s care. Danielle was very responsive and kept me informed the day Heath was in her care.

Kylie is everything you hope for in a pet sitter. She met with us beforehand, which immediately put me at ease, and the moment she and Baklava met it was clear she was the right person for the job!! He warmed up to her almost instantly, which honestly says a lot about her because he can be a picky judge of character. She took the time to really understand his quirks (and he has plenty), and I never once felt anxious leaving him in her care. She also took great care of the house, which is always appreciated! We’ll be booking Kylie again without a second thought, she’s earned our complete trust and we’re so lucky to have found her. 10000% would recommend!

Kristen was amazing!! She took my last minute request for day care and took very good care of my dog Mochi. She was very nice and responsive, thoughtful of the way she introduced mochi to her dogs, and even proactively sent me tons of cute photos of Mochi. Would recommend !!

Stephen was a great dogsitter! His dogs are larger and more high-energy, which makes Chancho really anxious. At his suggestion, we did a backyard slow meeting between the dogs, one at a time, and Stephen picked up on Chancho's attitude and needs immediately. Chancho was definitely overwhelmed, but Stephen picked up on his body language, walked us through a couple strategies he had to keep the dogs safe and happy, and assured us that he'd be in touch if need be. Any concerns I had about leaving him with a new sitter were alleviated by the time we headed out and I knew Chancho was in good hands! Stephen was very responsive, sent photos when we checked in, and made pick-up easy as well. We'd definitely recommend Stephen and look forward to seeing him the next time we book.
