“Thank you for being the first people to take care of our little Maxine while we took a trip. She was so well taken care of, they shared pictures to let us know how she was doing, they communicated well with us!”

“Danielle was a fantastic host. She is a good communicator, very accommodating and overall just a delightful person. Cersei felt 100% comfortable staying with Danielle and had fun playing with her own pups as well.”

“Martha made my dog feel super comfortable and at home. She also provided me with daily updates while I was out of the country, multiple times a day. I was very pleased and comfortable that my dog was in her care. Will definitely reach out to her the next time I go on vacation. She is the best sitter my dog has ever had!”

“I am so grateful for Achara! I was nervous to leave my reactive and excitable pup with a Rover, but Achara made the process so easy and gave me updates everyday. I will be using Achara in the future since my dog had a great time and felt right at home with her.”

“Kashay was an incredible caregiver for our dog, Al. She went above and beyond to ensure our dog felt loved and cared for in our absence. Kashay recognized that I was nervous and made sure to send constant communications and cute pictures - by day two, my worries were gone and I was confident that our Al was in great hands. She even gave Al a bath, so he came home nice and shiny. I would definitely book with Kashay again!”

“We booked Roy because our previous sitter canceled and Roy was quick to respond and very willing to take care of Rudy. Rudy is a Doby in his teenage phase so he has a lot of energy and Roy was ready to take that on. He gave Rudy lots of attention and play time and Rudy had a blast. We felt so relaxed on our trip because we knew Rudy was in good hands. Highly recommend Roy for your sitter!”

“I went to Italy for my birthday and Lety was nice enough to accommodate Duke. Duke stayed with Lety, but this time for over a week and he was so happy to be back at her place! Lety is the best!!! And I will definitely be rebooking again! You won’t be disappointed! Lety made her place feel like home for Duke. Duke also enjoys her puppy Mason, they do so well together! Book with Lety! I promise you won’t be disappointed.”

“Sade is great and responded to a last minute request. She was communicative, and she responses very quickly. Her home is organized and clean, and her two fur babies are adorable. Trina stayed with her for one night and was well taken care of. I would come back again, thanks Sade!”

“All I can say is amazing. I needed someone to watch my dog two days before my trip since my family canceled on me last minute. Hana immediately accepted Sadie. This was my first time leaving my dog with someone else longer than 4 days so I was a bit nervous. However, Hana updated me with pictures and videos every day from the day I dropped sadie off. She made me and my dog feel secure. My dog is also picky and did not want to eat the food I sent, so Hana went out of her way every day to prepare fresh food for my girl. I can tell Hana is knowledgeable about dogs and even gave me advice on how to appropriately feed my dog. I am forever grateful to you Hana. Thank you a million times. We found a forever sitter. 🩷”

“Jared is the absolute best!!!! Always, always! Our dog absolutely loves staying with him. It’s such a relief to have such a trusted person watching out for our little one.”

“We feel incredibly lucky to have found Julie for a last-minute booking from Tuesday to Friday night! From the moment I reached out to her, everything about the experience was seamless and reassuring. Julie invited us for a meet-and-greet at her home, and I immediately knew Toki would be in great hands. The next morning, I dropped Toki off feeling 100% confident that I had made the right choice. Julie’s warmth, attentiveness, and genuine love for animals were clear from the start. Throughout Toki’s stay, Julie kept me updated and went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable, happy, and well cared for. Her communication was excellent, and it gave me so much peace of mind knowing that Toki was in such capable hands. I highly recommend Julie to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and compassionate dog sitter. She truly treats your pet like family, and we couldn’t be more grateful for her! Thank you, Julie – we’ll definitely be booking again in the future!”

“Jennifer was awesome as always! I trust my pet baby with her. This is his 3rd visit with her. This was his second overnight stay, this stay was for two days. My boy is blind, takes insulin shots twice a day, a very old senior. I always worry about him when I’m away, but with Jennifer I can relax and enjoy my vacation. Thank you Jennifer. 🥰”

“Thank you Demi! We had a last minute need for a sitter and Demi saved the day. She even fit in a meet and greet so we could make sure it was a good fit. This helped us feel so much more at ease. We got daily updates and photos and were so grateful to see Khrush was made to feel right at home. We will definitely book with Demi again! Also, our pup came home very tired… which any Aussie parent can appreciate. Ha!”

“Michael is a such a dog lover and fantastic sitter. I'm really glad I found him. He has a very neat and clean apartment and my dog Lulu warmed up to him right away. I haven't been separated from her before and I was nervous to leave her. But his assuring demeaner quieted my fears. He sent pictures of her as the evening went on. My dog has a heart condition and Michael was happy to give her medications and walk her too.”

“Harry and Thomas were great with Lady. They were fast responders, very flexible and really helped my dog to be a little more social with other dogs. Love that they had an area for Lady to run and play since she’s a very energetic and shy girl. Definitely will be booking future stays with them!”

“She was incredibly responsive and easy to work with. Our puppy had a great time, and we loved all the photos and updates she shared. I would absolutely recommend her and would definitely book with her again.”

“We’re so grateful to Kelcya “Kacey” & Elizabeth B.! They took such sweet care of our kitten while we were away—making sure his food and water bowls were full, his litter box was clean, and most importantly, giving him plenty of love and playtime. He was clearly well cared for! Thank you both so much! 💛🐾”

“Elizabeth was AMAZING with my kitten. She shared lots of photos and updates. Lizzie is a very high energy and playful kitten and I know she had the best time with Elizabeth. Lots of playtime and lots of love. So grateful to Elizabeth for making leaving Lizzie behind so much easier because I know she was cared for in every sense of the word. thank you!!!”

“Payton did a phenomenal job of checking on my cat while I was out of town for a few days! She was very communicative from the start and sent many photos of playtime during daily check-ins. When I returned home it was clear that things had been well maintained in my absence. I hope she’s available again next time I’m headed out of town.”

“Markita was so sweet to my cat, Comet, and ensured she was comfortable while we were out of town. Markita was able to administer Comet’s medication. Thank you, Markita!”

“Jenna was amazing! Super responsive and kept me updated while she cared for my kitty! She’s a cat whisperer btw lol, my cat is normally very scared of new people but she happily greeted Jenna on the first visit. Definitely recommend to others!”

“Mel took excellent care of my boy kitty for many days. Two visits a day, feeding my boy his raw meals. She took pictures, videos and left messages for me after each visit. He (my cat) got lots of play time and he warmed up to Mel quickly. I never worried on my trip, I knew he was I. Good hands. I highly recommend Mel!”

“My dog came for doggy day car while I was traveling for work. Geisel was a fantastic communicator - responsive when booking, and sent lots of photos throughout the day. Will definitely be back!”

“Heath Bar didn’t make it easy - he barked the entire time at Danielle’s unless she was there with him, I k ew he had separation anxiety but the only time it presented for the last several years was while he was alone in the car. His being alone in the house was not a problem for him. My take away is to be certain someone will be at home with him for most of the time he will be in someone else’s care. Danielle was very responsive and kept me informed the day Heath was in her care.”

“Probably should warn people more of the level of anxiety he can get, were generally never out of site with one another and very rarely does He get left behind. Thanks for your time, there was only so much you could do”

About: I am a longtime cat and dog lover with over 25 years experience in caring for pets. I also have experience working in healthcare and love to care for senior pets, puppies, kittens and pets of all ages and sizes. I am recently retired from my 30 plus years in Healthcare and am looking forward to my dream job of providing your fur babies care in my loving home. I have a fenced yard with a nearby park in Woodlake neighborhood for outdoor fun. But most days we will be cuddling on the couch.
About: I may not have dogs of my own but I sure do love being around them. Before moving I use to volunteer at an animal shelter and I loved it there just to see how dogs were able to have at least a couple of minutes of happiness from pups to seniors. I also foster kitties and have two of my own! I am currently attending nursing school, so can’t fit a full time job into my schedule. This is the best option because it’s something I love and I can still complete my studies! I would first build trust with the animal ensuring they are not frightened by me. Aside from that I love for the owners to tell me more about their pet to allow me to best adjust my skills to accommodate the pet.
About: I have had dogs and cats for the last 17 years. I have also cared for family and friends animals while they were on vacation. I am currently working from home and have plenty of time to care for you dog so you can enjoy your time away without worrying. I have a fenced-in yard and a friendly Labrador mix dog that loves to socialize with other dogs. Your dog will get plenty of exercise.
“Tanisha was fantastic with my dog Morty. My dog is reactive and nervous around new dogs, and she was willing to do whatever it takes to make sure he would feel comfortable with her and her dog. We did a meet and greet, followed by a test overnight board and test daycare. It was incredible to see how well my dog settled in with her. You can tell she cares a lot about the dogs she watches. I got a lot of pictures and videos of my dog while he was with Tanisha (more than I've ever gotten from a sitter). I highly recommend Tanisha!”

“Tanzina was great with Cooper and kept me updated throughout the day! He has anxiety and she was very understanding of it even as it took time for him to acclimate to her place.”
“Julie and her sister Sandy are wonderful. My miniature Dachshund, Bruno, has been going to their home for doggie daycare for some time now. They have gone above and beyond taking him with very little notice and picking him up and returning him. I feel very confident about his safety while in their care. Recently, I had an emergency and they picked him up without any notice and I boarded him with them for 3 days. This was the first time he was away from home and his first night he was nervous, but they gave him lots of reassurance and comfort. I highly recommend them to anyone that is looking for a loving and caring doggie daycare and boarding in a home environment.”

“Nelly did a great job taking care of doodle. She was very friendly and responsive! I received pictures, text updates, and a happy dog when I picked him up.”
“Thanks so much for watching Ladoo! It looked like he had such a great time playing with you all! I appreciated the great pictures of him too and that you’re also a doodle parent!”

“Risa was super welcoming when we arrived. She kept me updated during the stay and my doggy seemed very relaxed with Risa. She also drew an adorable picture of my doggo. Would recommend!”

“Happy I found Martha to take care of Niko. She responds in a timely manner & very flexible with my last minute requests. She ask all the important questions to assure she provides the best care for your fur-child. My shy Niko and her sweet pup Misty got along really well hanging out for the first time. Niko enjoyed his stay with Martha & her family!”

“Nelly has been great with our nervous pup Zoey. On the first day, Nelly introduced her gently and gradually to the environment, starting with the backyard and then moving indoors. Zoey was able to explore at her own place rather than being overwhelmed in the situation. Our baby has been less nervous each time we've visited thanks to Nelly's thoughtful care (and her friendly Chihuahua!) and we are so happy with the progress so far. Zoey previously stayed at a kennel but did not fare well at all because of her disposition. Now that we found Nelly, we can actually travel and see family again, with the peace of mind knowing Zoey will be in good hands.”

“Wunna was amazing! The moment our dog, Shadow, met him, they got along and Shadow trusted him immediately. He was flexible and accommodating of our schedule. He responded to our messages quickly too, which we really appreciated.”

“Riker had such a good experience with Roy the past 2 days. Roy offered a meet and greet before the Riker’s first stay. After Riker accepted all the pets, and a quick tangent discussion over Ironman helmets, the house was great, lots if space for doggos. Roy sent pics( @home and out on walks) and updates on how Riker was doing. Pickup and drop offs are easy. Neighborhood is great, pet friendly, convenient but secluded community. Roy made the experience seamless, which made really made it stress free for Riker(and Me). Great experience. Definitely highly recommended.”

“Manuel is wonderful!! He took our dog Chunk in for a couple days of doggy daycare and the experience could not have been better. Not only did he have a great setup, he is responsive, sent photo updates, and genuinely cared about my dog being comfortable and happy!”

“As first-time Rover users, we chose Alexandra and all we can say is Alexandra is the best! She is extremely prompt & communicative and was eager to help us navigate the app and Rover support when we realized we were being charged holiday fee outside of the holiday period. You can tell she genuinely cares about the pets she cares for while the owners are away. Thanks Alex!”

About: Ever since I was 10 I've taken care of dogs. I have experience in many different ages of dogs from newborn puppies to full grown. Since it is summer your pets will always fit in my schedule! “Teri is amazing. Very caring about my pet, and following our routines. She’s also very knowledgeable & safety focused, so I felt very comfortable leaving my pet in her hands while I was away. First Rover experience was exactly what I needed when I booked Teri! I will book her again when I’m back in Sacramento.”

About: I have experience with different collars and leashes, I have experience with large dogs and small dogs, and I have experience with reading dog body language, and leash training. I don’t currently have a job, so I have an open schedule to dog walks at almost any time. I can also do a scheduled walk weekly I have a large fenced yard in my own home that I own. But I prefer to take care of your animals at your own home so they feel more comfortable. Or walk them in a completely different location.
About: Hi there! I am a recent law school graduate currently studying for the bar exam. In addition to growing up with dogs, I also have experience dealing with reactive dogs. For a time I had a rescue dog, Judge, who struggled with aggression, leash reactivity, and general fear/anxiety. Training with him and learning from him made me extremely educated on dog safety, care, and proper protocols when out on walks to ensure a good time for everyone involved. I recently moved to Sacramento after graduating law school, and would love to walk your dog (and maybe even help with some training) while I am studying for the bar exam. Hope to hear from you! My study schedule for the bar is exam is flexible as it is a self-paced course. I normally go for a walk in the mornings before I start my day, but I am free any time to assist! I have a large SUV that I’m happy to take your dog along in for a little adventure! My favorite daily walks in Sac is along the American River and I’d love to bring a pup along. I am also happy to stay local to wherever you live and wherever your dog is most comfortable.

“Raquel was a real treat to meet! She was great with my dog, Molly and was patient with my constant scheduling modifications. Raquel is very punctual with the times I selected and walks through the door at that time. Not a moment to soon or a moment too late. I am very pleased with Raquel's professionalism. I have found Molly's walker!”

I love my pets company, giving them things too do like running round and playing chase. Cleaning, Feeding and making sure they're happy and if they need their medicine. Usually taking care or them for most of the day.
About: There's something about caring for dogs and cats that brings my heart alive. There's nothing I'd rather do than care lovingly attentively for these animals. I am a retired English teacher, and my time is unlimited. I prefer long term, overnight sitting in your home. I am fit and love walking and playing with your loved one. I treat them as if they were my own. Having been raised caring for my families dogs, cats, horses, cows, ducks, fish, and even peacocks, I am most comfortable with animals. I follow instructions, administer medicine when necessary, and leave your home in perfect condition as you left it. Some folks say I'm too old to do this...I know I'm not. I can walk 2 miles easily with dogs. I have described my affection for dogs and cats which I hope reflects the care I will provide, and I would be so pleased to serve you. About: I absolutely adore dogs and their personalities. I had an older pup of my own, who has been with me all over California. Unfortunately my beautiful girl has passed. Now I have a 1 year old rambunctious little aussiedoodle named Thorin and all he wants do is play. He absolutely loves making new friends. I am always the first one to be called by any friend in need to watch their pets. I’m confident that Thorin and I can give your pet a safe space for them to have fun and you to relax and not worry. I currently work 2 miles from my place of residence. Your dog will usually just go with me to work every day, we have a bed/area set up (pet friendly environment) or if preferred the dog to stay home. My man comes with me, so we do the same for yours. Also, they would be walked first thing in the morning, on my lunch, after work and then again before bed. I have a crate if thats needed for your dog/your dog likes to have his/her own safe space. My house is free to roam for the animals. I have a big backyard they can play in.

About: What sets me apart is my experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and energy levels. I fostered puppies and adult dogs for four years, which gave me hands-on experience caring for dogs with different personalities, needs, and backgrounds. I also grew up with working dogs, so I am very comfortable handling high-energy breeds and understand the exercise, structure, and attention they require. Whether it's a playful puppy, an active working dog, or a senior pet needing extra patience and care, I adapt to each animal's individual needs. I am confident handling dogs on walks and prioritize safety, consistency, and positive interactions. I am comfortable working with reactive dogs as well :) I am a full time student looking to fill my summer by taking care pets instead of adopting more! I have extremely open availability, whatever your pet needs Ill be there. I wholeheartedly understand the anxiety and stress that can come with leaving your pet in someone else's care, I have those same feelings when it comes to my own pets. Because of that, I will treat your pet as if they were my own, providing them with the same love, attention, and care that I would expect for my animals. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness, along with your peace of mind, are always my top priorities. While I am caring for your pet, I will be readily available by text or phone and happy to provide updates, photos, and videos to help you feel connected and reassured while you're away. 🐾
About: Please look through my photos to get a bit of me in a snapshot! I have had pets all my life and I’ve been housesitting since I was 16 years old in high school. Now I’m a 27 year old Davis graduate who is still eager to help out with furry family’s in the community. I used to work with cats, and I have two of my own now, so I have quite a lot of experience with them. I had dogs growing up, and I've been taking care of other's dogs for the last 11 years. I have experience with oral medication for both dogs and cats. I have a bit of experience in pain management medications and scheduling. I have experience with anxious dogs and older dogs ranging from small to medium-large. I am often a busy person, so for me the most important aspect of working together is communication and honesty. If I feel like I can’t provide the services you are looking for, I will let you know quickly and truthfully. I know how scary it is to leave behind your pets and I want all of my clients to know I have their best interest in mind when booking. I am currently between jobs and taking a couple of online courses so I have a fully open and flexible schedule. I live in Davis and have my own cats that I attend to and love on, but I am also helping foster cats with my friend in Sacramento. I am comfortable in both Davis and Sacramento, and I spend a lot of time in both. I can always adjust my schedule to try and work something out that works for you and your pet. I have a fenced in yard and two cats that generally stay out of the way when a new friend is around. I live with one other person that is also very welcoming and friendly with new animals. We have plenty of places to explore with a decent sized backyard and 3 nearby parks. If I'm providing care in your home, simply explain what you're looking for and I will do my best to accommodate, or be honest if it's not something I can manage. Overnights and drop-ins should not be a problem as long as I can also drop in on my animals.
About: Hi, I’m Victoria! I’ve been a lifelong dog lover and have cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities. My first pup was a fun-loving Maltese, and now my fiancée and I have the sweetest 10-year-old golden retriever who is incredibly patient and friendly. I truly enjoy spending time with dogs—playing, walking, cuddling, and making sure they feel safe and happy while you’re away. I know how important it is to find someone you trust with your pup, and I promise to treat them like family! Whether they need extra belly rubs, long walks, or just a cozy place to relax, I’ll make sure they’re comfortable and well cared for. I’m experienced in handling different energy levels and personalities, so whether your dog is playful or prefers quiet companionship, I’ll tailor our care to their needs! I’d love to meet your baby and give them the attention they deserve! Feel free to reach out with any questions—I’m happy to chat and see if we’re a great fit. My partner and I work 4-5 days of the week. Between the 2 our schedules, we are available to care for your pup all week since we have different days off! 😊 We live in a home and have a fenced yard. It’s a small backyard with no grass but it works and we find ways to still have playtime back there when weather permits! We are comfortable with crates if your dog is crate trained. And we will make sure they feel safe with all their own things. Our golden retriever has anxiety and has had trust issues with other dogs if he feels scared of them. He has been boarded with sitters and other dogs before (he also has many dog cousins), it just takes him an hour to warm up. We will always make sure the introduction and adjustment period is as smooth as it can be. Our dog has a corner in our room he feels the safest and he goes there on his own when he feels overwhelmed. We know how to read his emotions and we know we can balance your dogs emotions too!

“Katherine was a fantastic sitter for our senior pup Amara and I would happily be a return customer! She was available to accommodate Amara super last minute, which was life saving, and she really understood the needs of a senior doggo with a particular personality. She was very thorough, even communicating which vet she would use in case of emergency (don’t worry, no emergencies occurred!). They had a great time hanging out in her back yard, going on strolls and snuggling on the couch. Amara was a very happy girl at the end of her stay and I would definitely recommend Katherine as a Rover sitter!”

“Our pet care fell through and Matt was able to accommodate a request for watching my 15 yr old dog. Matt was able took great care her and handled the special kidney diet and daily meds. “I had to leave my dog with Nelly as we had to attend an event in Sacramento. I didn’t have time for a meet and greet as I am not from the area. Nelly & her family were great with my dog! They took special care as my dog doesn’t socialize with other dogs and hangs out with humans only. Even though it’s her first time, my dog came out so confident and cool when I went to pick her up! Nelly also kept sharing pictures while caring for her. I will be happy to rebook Nelly’s services whenever I am back in Sacramento. Thanks a bunch Nelly!”

“Jennifer and my dog Luna got along great! Jennifer was very accomidating to my spoiled dog's needs by letting her on the bed and couch and giving her 1-on-1 attention. Jennifer walked her along with 5 other large dogs, daily and took them all to the dog park regularly. I got pictures of Luna everyday, which made me feel confident in Jennifer and helped my separation anxiety with my fur baby. I would recommend Jennifer for your big dog needs and will definately use her service again! Thank you!”

“Jasmine was amazing! Pudge's first overnight stay went so well, and he had so much fun!! I didn't have to worry at all. I'm so thankful that he had such a good time, he didn't even want to leave to come home when I went to pick him up. 10000/10 would recommend.”
