3. Jahada-Heaven G.

“She was so great! Our pups were well taken care of, and our house looked great after we returned from being away for a week. Our 3 dogs were not easy either as 1 is still very young and energetic, and the eldest is partially paralyzed. She was very patient and understanding with our dogs and great with communication with us while we were away. Very happy with her service!”

“Ashley did an excellent job caring for our two dogs when we went away! She scheduled a meet and greet and was able to help out with short notice. After meeting Ashley I knew that she had the experience and confidence to care for the dogs. Receiving updates and photos while I was gone helped me enjoy my time away without worry!”

7. Virlyn G.
About: 🐾 Virlyn and Vanessa 🐾 I was born into a family of pets of all kinds. I also did voluntary animal rescue with my mom from the age of four up until leaving for college. I have cared for a maximum of 30 personal pets and rescues at once while also working at a veterinary clinic as an assistant for two years before leaving for college. My mom and I would love to help you care for your fur babies in our free time. We are available for boarding, drop-ins and walks on weekdays and most weekends. We are very flexible with our time so reach out, were more than likely able to accomodate you. If your pet is crate trained we can easily accommodate them in our home. For drop-ins however there is no special requirements, just leave your fur babies as you would whenever you leave for the day.

8. Amanda S.

“Amanda was kind enough to text me all through her visit. I have one dog that is very shy. Amanda sat with her until she was comfortable enough to come out of hiding. Then Amanda took the dogs for a walk. She sent me pictures of my crazies. Amanda is very nice. We had a meet and greet with the dogs and myself two days before. I will use Amanda again if her and my schedules work out.”

9. Grace B.

“Grace took great care of my two cats. She sent pictures every day that made me happy to see how comfortable my cats were with her. Highly recommend.”

10. Seb K.
About: I’ve been around dogs and animals in general since a young age, with my grandpa running a small farm. I’ve grown up around breeds like German Shepherds, and have always taken care of friends’ dogs while they were in vacation. I learned a lot from my fiancé, who ran a successful dog walking business in New York City Give yourself peace of mind, your dog is in safe, loving, caring hands. I’m currently working from home with a special schedule which I take advantage of as it frees up a lot of time during the day. Pet care fits into it quite easily, as I have a daily routine I follow which includes dog walks, time with the dogs outside and of course feedings (and tending medicine when needed). I have a home situated on a quiet, secluded private lot that backs up onto a river with several trails within a short walking distance. The yard is secluded, well shaded and has ample space. I take care to be active with the dogs, so I usually toss frisbees or play fetch several times a day to keep them content. I walk my dogs twice around the neighborhood. Besides home, I have a number of dog-friendly trails and parks both in East Stroudsburg and nearby where I bring the dogs for some quality time outside. This includes hiking on trails and in the mountains, bringing the dogs to rivers or lakes, I mix it up each week depending on the weather conditions. Any time I go on an outdoor adventure, I make sure I have the owner’s consent. Their dogs will always be hydrated and have a snack. I only ask that if your dog has specific dietary needs or is taking medication, that you provide me with the necessary information and schedule. I have two modes of transport for dogs, both of which offer plenty of space, safety and comfort for the dogs while en route.

11. Alexis K.

“I recently had the pleasure of having Alexis visit my home to watch my two Goldendoodles, Chaka & Chip, who are both recovering from surgery, while I took care of some errands. Alexis was extremely kind and accommodating, fitting my dogs into her schedule on short notice, which was a lifesaver for me. My dogs are wary of strangers and are highly vocal about their concerns. Alexis handled both dogs with grace and calm energy. Despite the initial barking and jumping, she remained composed, which in turn helped my dogs settle down quickly. It was clear that her calm demeanor was something my dogs picked up on and responded to positively. Alexis arrived right on time. Her respect for my home and my pets was evident in all her actions. I'm already looking forward to using Alexis's services again. Not only is she fantastic with dogs, but she also has a beautiful personality. If you're looking for someone who combines professionalism with a genuine love for animals, Alexis is the person for you.”

Sarah focuses on communication with pet owners and offers regular updates, quick responses and clear transparency so you feel informed and at ease. Sarah treats each pet as if they were her own, offering affection and attention. Your pet’s well being is always her top priority. Sarah has always taken care of my pets when I am out of town, and her positive attitude is what makes her awesome!”

13. Deborah P.
About: I possess a unique combination of skills and experiences that set me apart from other sitters. My background includes specialized training in puppy training, which allows me to effectively teach basic commands and proper behavior to young dogs, ensuring they develop into well-mannered companions. Additionally, I have experience in senior pet care, where I have learned to recognize and address the specific needs of older animals, including administering medication and providing gentle exercise tailored to their abilities. Moreover, my ability to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for pets enhances their well-being. I prioritize building strong relationships with both pets and their owners, ensuring open communication about any concerns or updates during my time with their animals. My commitment to ongoing education in pet care and behavior further equips me to handle various situations with confidence and compassion. Overall, my blend of training, experience, and dedication to pet welfare distinguishes me as a sitter who genuinely cares for the animals in my charge. Pet care is an integral part of my daily and weekly routine, as it encompasses various responsibilities that ensure the well-being of my pets. Each day begins with feeding my pets, which not only provides them with the necessary nutrition but also establishes a consistent schedule that they can rely on. This routine is essential for their health and happiness, as animals thrive on predictability. In addition to feeding, daily walks are a critical component of my pet care routine. These walks not only provide my pets with exercise but also offer them the opportunity to explore their environment and socialize with other animals. This interaction is vital for their mental stimulation and overall well-being. Furthermore, I dedicate time each day to play with my pets, which strengthens our bond and keeps them engaged. Weekly tasks include grooming and cleaning their living spaces. Regular grooming helps maintain their hygiene and prevents health issues, while cleaning ensures a safe and comfortable environment for them. I also set aside time for veterinary check-ups and vaccinations, which are crucial for their long-term health. In summary, pet care is woven into my daily and weekly routine through feeding, exercising, playing, grooming, and maintaining their health. This commitment not only benefits my pets but also enriches my life, providing companionship and joy. ## Caring for Pets in a Home Environment ### Understanding Pet Needs Caring for pets requires an understanding of their specific needs, which can vary greatly depending on the type of pet and their individual personalities. For dogs, essential aspects include providing **adequate exercise**, **social interaction**, and **mental stimulation**. It's important to establish a routine that includes regular feeding times, walks, and playtime to ensure their overall well-being. ### Creating a Safe Environment In a home with pets, creating a **safe and comfortable environment** is crucial. This includes having a **fenced yard** for dogs to play in safely, which allows them to enjoy the outdoors while being secure. Additionally, providing a **designated space** for pets, such as a crate or a cozy bed, can help them feel secure and reduce anxiety when left alone. ### Socialization and Companionship Having other pets, like friendly dogs, can greatly benefit a new pet by providing **companionship** and opportunities for socialization. It's essential to monitor interactions between pets to ensure they are positive and safe. Engaging in play and introducing new toys can also help keep pets entertained and mentally stimulated. ### Health and Wellness Regular health check-ups and vaccinations are vital for maintaining a pet's health. Ensuring that pets are on a proper diet and have access to fresh water is also essential. In addition, being aware of any behavioral changes can help identify potential health issues early on, allowing for timely veterinary care. By understanding and addressing these key aspects of pet care, pet owners can ensure that their furry companions thrive in a loving and safe environment.

About: Since I was a child, I’ve been surrounded by beloved companions of all walks of life. Taking care of your companions is not just a responsibility but a genuine pleasure to me! I’m excited to offer trust, reassurance, and authentic love that you and your companions deserve. As someone who had a Golden Retriever, I understand what it feels like leaving your baby at home. I’m committed to providing you the peace of mind that your baby is receiving the love and care they deserve. I’m highly flexible and eager to accommodate a schedule that works best for both of us. The more notice you can provide, the better I can tailor my services to fit your needs. When your companion stays with me, they’ll enjoy a safe and comfortable environment. My home offers plenty of space to roam and play, including a large, open yard. I currently have a 8 month old kitten, Spirit, that is friendly with all animals. If needed, I can provide separate spaces for Spirit and your companion to ensure everyone’s comfort. I am happy to provide what you and your companion needs to feel secure!

19. Sharon W.
“I've known Sharon for well over a decade. As an animal professional myself, I can speak to her qualifications in working with animals. Sharon is a consummate dog-lover. She knows them. She understands them. She READS them and allows them to become their best selves. Her ability to train one of the hardest breeds, Huskies, to walk, leave it, stop in their tracks and return (huskies- really!), be comfortable with other dogs and strangers is remarkable. I've seen her work with dogs from tiny terriers to German Shepherds. She uses the characteristics and what drives each dog's passion to get them to connect with the owner, and teaches the owner how to connect with their dog. Both come away with a better relationship, and the dog's well-being, safety and happiness are increased. WORTH the time and money to work with Sharon!”

20. Brianna B.
