“As always Kathrine was able to drop in for our fur kids they were well taken care of and I got some great pictures from her during check in. I love having her to look after them when we go out of town now that the cats are older and need special care. I would recommend Kathrine to anyone who needs a sitter in her area.”

“Halona did a great job taking care of our cat. We're very happy with her performance, professionalism, and trustworthiness. Highly recommended to anyone seeking in home visits for their pets.”

“Grace, I am so happy to have you part of pur puppies lives and that you have been so reliable in all that you do with quality and care for our babies while I am away taking care of my mom. Thank you”

“AWESOME! I received a ton of pictures and videos everyday. I was afraid my one cat was going to leave home because he was given so much attention lol. Rochelle and her family are absolutely beautiful people. I knew when they came for the introductory visit that my kitties would be fine. ❤”
“We were needing someone to watch our two dogs while visiting the area, and I had very specific criteria for them. Dawn had excellent communication with us throughout the process of scheduling and showed up on time and did everything we wanted. She gave us peace of mind while we were gone for the day and our usually "stranger danger" dogs did great with her. Thank you for staying with our pups Dawn! You rock!”

“A constant 5 star sitter for our cat. They have come in snow rain and hail over the years. If you need a person who will care about your pet and their needs, this is your one stop shop.”

“Jennifer was excellent. Prompt, attentive, and went above and beyond to care for my cats while I was away. She gave detailed information and sent me pics, which was awesome! Even though the cats were hiding!”

“I’m so happy I found Jahada! She is a reliable and experienced animal lover. I can’t say enough good things about her. I will definitely ask her to watch Riley and Cinnabun again.”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for dogs and other pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I currently have a Yorkshire Terrier, a Mini Goldendoodle, and a ferret, so caring for animals is part of my daily life. I have experience with basic training, administering medications, and understanding each pet’s unique needs. I personally trained my dog to become a service animal, which taught me patience, consistency, and how to build trust with animals. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always prioritize their comfort, safety, and happiness. Pet care is already a big part of my everyday routine. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate quality time to the pets in my care. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, administering medication, or simply providing companionship, I make sure each pet receives plenty of attention and care. I understand the importance of maintaining a pet’s routine and will do my best to keep them comfortable and happy while you’re away. Safety, trust, and comfort are my top priorities. In a client’s home, I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding schedules, medications, walks, and daily routines to help pets feel secure and stress-free. I pay close attention to their behavior and needs while providing plenty of affection, exercise, and companionship. I respect both the pet’s environment and the owner’s home, ensuring everything is kept clean, safe, and well cared for. My goal is to provide reliable care and peace of mind while you’re away.
“Bruna was absolutely amazing with my puppy, Kaia. From the start, she really took the time to listen and understand Kaia’s needs, and it showed in how comfortable and happy Kaia was in her care. Kaia can be pretty wary of new people, so I was a little nervous at first, but she warmed up to Bruna so quickly, even though they had only met once before at the meet and greet. That says a lot about Bruna’s calm and patient approach. Throughout the entire experience, it was clear that Bruna genuinely cared and paid close attention to what Kaia needed. I could tell Kaia felt safe and well cared for, which gave me so much peace of mind (I was out of town for 1 week). I would absolutely trust her again, and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful and attentive sitter.”

“Tara was amazing with our pup Henry! He felt comfortable and happy with her. She kept us updated throughout the stay with photos and messages, which gave us such peace of mind. Highly recommend Tara if you’re looking for someone caring and reliable to care for your pet!”

“Elizabeth was professional and accommodating. I needed a last minute sitter for my 3 month old puppy and 7 year old lab and she responded fast and we were able to set everything up for the next day. She sends updates and pictures throughout her stay. She was great with both of my dogs and they loved her. I came home and couldn’t even tell anyone was there. I will book with her again in the future!”

About: My entire life I have had a passion for all animals. Growing up I always had dogs. They were mainly large gentle giants. Great Dane, mastiff, newfoundland, boxer, English bulldog, shitzu, Maltese. Each and every one had their own beautiful personality and I clung to every single one. I've been dogsitting for close friends and just word of mouth. I would absolutely love to do more with pets and gain more experience with animals. Currently I have a 1 year old high energy boxer and a 5 year old cat who thinks he is a dog. The dogs I am watching go on walks, hang out in their yard, on cold days i will play with them inside or just sit with them to be company. They get treats for being good boys and girls.
About: I had an adult dog for 6 years who unfortunately passed a couple years ago. When he became a senior, it was like I had a whole new dog that I had to learn more about to take care of. He was my best friend, and I miss him a lot. Now that I'm in college, I can't have any pets, but I would love to take care of yours and give you peace of mind knowing that your pet is in loving hands while you're away. I’m home from college this summer and I can visit your fur baby whenever you need me to, for walks, feeding, play time, etc! In your home, I will follow all directions you provide and be sure to take care of your pet the way that you want them taken care of. I'll treat them like my own and make sure they're safe and happy.
About: I’ve taken care of many dogs of all ages, including my own. From puppy stage to senior. I’ve been trusted by friends and family to care for their dogs including walks, play time, and any special needs they may have. I work taking care of your pet into my schedule, early mornings or late nights are no issue. I set aside as much time as needed for play, walks etc. I have a very large back yard in a low traffic neighborhood. I have two dogs of my own that are very well behaved and love to play!
“Thank you for dropping in on my little girl on such a short notice. Very professional and accommodating. The photos were great. Exceeded all expectations. Would highly recommend.”

- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
