I was always the go-to kid in my neighborhoods for dog walking & pet sitting when neighbors went out of town. From Huskies & German Shepherds to Pugs & Staffy’s, I’ve been around them all & am excited to start caring for your furry friend just like my own :) Currently completely open !! Can do early morning walks, midday play dates, evening feedings, & everything else in between to help ease your load !! I’m great with lists & open communication !! Want to make sure that your dog’s needs are met wether that be getting in their daily walk or running around the backyard & being fed while you’re at work or keeping them company & on their schedule while you get in your vacay !!

About: I’ve loved and cared for animals my whole life. Growing up, I raised and cared for dogs, cats, chickens, goats, and rabbits through 4-H, which gave me hands-on experience with animals of all kinds. I also volunteered at the Napa Animal Shelter, where I helped care for animals and learned the importance of patience, safety, and compassion. In addition to caring for my own pets, I’ve pet sat for family, friends, and neighbors, including feeding, walking, playing with, and checking in on their pets while they were away. I’ve also fostered kittens, which gave me experience caring for young animals and paying close attention to their individual needs. I currently have two dogs and four cats of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets. I’ll care for your pets as if they were my own and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away !!! Caring for animals isn’t just something I enjoy, it's what I’ve chosen to dedicate my time to. Because pet care is my primary focus, I have a flexible schedule and can provide reliable care throughout the week. I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own, stick to their routine, and keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel confident they’re in good hands. With years of hands-on experience caring for animals of all ages and personalities, I understand that trust is everything. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, senior, or needs extra patience, I’ll provide calm, compassionate care while keeping their routine as consistent as possible. I’ll treat both your home and your pets with the same respect and care I’d expect for my own, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout every visit !!
“responsive and responsible. was willing to work with our crazy schedule and more importantly, our beasties love daelan. definitely recommended for dog owners looking for either a short term or long term situation. very happy that daelan took us in—despite our short notice. A+”

I am able to check on your pets, stay with them for a little play/cuddle time, clean up and even walk them if needed. I am willing to come to your home and take care of your pets. Following your instructions, I will help your pets to be well cared for while you are away.
About: I am a person who cares! And I care most when it comes to your pets. My pets are my life and I understand that they are family. As an uber driver, I have a very open schedule and the ability to make frequent stops to check in with babies throughout my day! I would come equipped with a first aid kit and all safety materials. I would assure I had participated in any and all safety trainings available.
“Aimee is amazing! My dog is a senior with neurological issues, and tends to be hesitant around strangers. Aimee’s calm, loving demeanor put him at ease immediately and they were best pals from the start. It was 90 degrees outside and Aimee had the experience and good judgement to find an alternative exercise, playing ball in the backyard to keep his feet and body cool. Thank you for taking such great care of my fur baby! I’ll definitely use Aimee again! <3”

About: I love animals more than people! Been petsitting all my life. First to offer my friends and neighbors to be Auntie to their little muffins. I owned a petsitting and dog training business in Portland for many years... had to move and change jobs but I still love having as many furfriends as possible! I consider myself very intuitive and always respect a pets boundaries. Listening is key and watching for body language. I will take the very best care of your home and pet!! Just like they were my own. I work for myself and have a very flexible schedule. I can work around what works best for you. Great at time management and super reliable. I prefer sitting at my clients homes and have extensive experience with housesitting alone. I have managed luxury homes and can offer extra things like plant watering, mail pickup, coordinating with staff, etc.
“Ronald walked my two dogs - one who small and anxious and the other who is medium sized and high energy. He came over to meet them beforehand and they warmed right up. Will definitely ask him to walk them again in the future!”
“Alannie was fantastic! I needed a dog walker on very short notice, and she accepted the booking quickly without any issues. She arrived exactly on time, kept me updated throughout the walk, and even took the extra step of wiping my dog’s paws and bum afterward, which I really appreciated. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and it gave me peace of mind knowing my pup was in great hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, punctual, and caring walker.”

About: Hi there! I’ve been an animal lover all my life. I grew up in India caring for 8 stray dogs, and that experience shaped my deep sense of responsibility and love for animals. Today, I’m a proud pet parent to two cats and a Husky-Shepherd mix who keeps me on my toes (and very active!). I’m experienced with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, from high-energy breeds to senior pups who just need a little extra TLC. I’m also comfortable giving medications, managing feeding routines, and handling multi-pet households with care and patience. Whether it’s a drop-in visit, a walk, or overnight sitting, I treat every pet as if they were my own—with love, attention, and lots of cuddles. I’m currently working full time Monday to Friday, and will be able to take care of your pets on weekends and in the evenings as needed. Also, if you’re closer to Napa, I can take up 30 minutes quick appointments. I have an apartment in a beautiful community, close to downtown Napa, hence your pet will be more than excited to go out to walk in the neighborhood and enjoy the crisp air and view!
“Landon has been great for my dog walking needs. He is responsive to my requests, reliable and most importantly he interacts warmly and genuinely with my dog. I have a very big Malamute with a lot of energy and he handles her great. I trust him to read her body language and energy, and respond appropriately to keep her safe. He also works for a veterinary office and seems to have a lot of knowledge and love of animals.”

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
