About: I’ve loved and cared for animals my whole life. Growing up, I raised and cared for dogs, cats, chickens, goats, and rabbits through 4-H, which gave me hands-on experience with animals of all kinds. I also volunteered at the Napa Animal Shelter, where I helped care for animals and learned the importance of patience, safety, and compassion. In addition to caring for my own pets, I’ve pet sat for family, friends, and neighbors, including feeding, walking, playing with, and checking in on their pets while they were away. I’ve also fostered kittens, which gave me experience caring for young animals and paying close attention to their individual needs. I currently have two dogs and four cats of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets. I’ll care for your pets as if they were my own and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away !!! Caring for animals isn’t just something I enjoy, it's what I’ve chosen to dedicate my time to. Because pet care is my primary focus, I have a flexible schedule and can provide reliable care throughout the week. I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own, stick to their routine, and keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel confident they’re in good hands. With years of hands-on experience caring for animals of all ages and personalities, I understand that trust is everything. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, senior, or needs extra patience, I’ll provide calm, compassionate care while keeping their routine as consistent as possible. I’ll treat both your home and your pets with the same respect and care I’d expect for my own, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout every visit !!
About: I’ve taken care of animals for as long as I can remember, through every stage of their lives. Growing up with dogs, they have always been like family to me. I’ve had experience with all different kinds of dogs and cats and have also worked at a doggy daycare / boarding center. Spending time with furry friends never feels like work to me. I am fortunate to live at home where I know my own dog is always cared for when I am away, so I can confidently care for yours too! I always enjoy being able to go for walks and make visits during the day in between managing my other responsibilities. As a student, I typically have more availability in the afternoons and evenings. I am happy to visit and walk with your pups during the day, providing them each the individual care that they deserve. I am open to doing group walks as well, depending on your pet’s preferences. I am also able to pet sit, where I can care for your fur babies in the comfort of their own home!
“Channing is a wonderful communicator and took such great care of Max and Gloria! I felt very comfortable being away from home for such a long time knowing she was taking care of them. Highly recommend!”
“Katie did a wonderful job taking care of our two kitties. She quickly earned their trust, played with them, sent the cutest pictures and successfully administered pills to one of the cats - which is no easy feat. We are so glad we found her and will hire Katie, without any hesitation whatsoever, for our future trips.”

“Kathrine was such a delight. She cares for only one dog at a time so she can devote her full attention and our Snowy appreciated that. Her house is set so nicely for pet sitting and the neighborhood was terrific for dog walks. Thank you, Katharine.”

“Aimee was really wonderful! My husband and I were on a trip to Napa and needed someone to pop in and check on our dogs while we were out! She was professional, communicative and punctual! She also sent some really wonderful photos! Highly recommend! Thank you!”

“Kelly was great! We scheduled her last minute to look after our cat during a weekend trip. I really appreciated her being flexible and coming to do a meet-and-greet on short notice. She helped reprogram the auto-feeder that I had forgotten to fully set up. She even got our very shy cat to come out from under the bed for treats!”

“Olivia has become our kitty’s go-to sitter. I’ve had to be out of town a lot recently and I feel so much better knowing that Olivia will be taking care of my fur baby. My cat really likes her and Olivia makes an effort to spend quality time with her, play with her, and let her out on the patio. Olivia is super caring, careful, clean and responsible!”

“We were so happy to have Ciana back to care for our anxious, little, senior. She is very sweet and a calming presence. We can tell out dog is happy and relaxed when we get back home. Ciana is very responsive and is great with communication. Highly recommend.”

About: I am a person who cares! And I care most when it comes to your pets. My pets are my life and I understand that they are family. As an uber driver, I have a very open schedule and the ability to make frequent stops to check in with babies throughout my day! I would come equipped with a first aid kit and all safety materials. I would assure I had participated in any and all safety trainings available.
About: I’ve taken care of animals for as long as I can remember. I first started fostering puppies and kitten at the age of 12. I am new to Rover but I have extensive hands on experience, including working for two years at small animal hospital and volunteering at local animal shelter. Currently, I am continuing my education in Veterinary Medicine during my undergrad, with the ultimate goal of becoming a Veterinarian. I treat every pet as if they were my own, prioritizing their safety, comfort and well-being. Right now, I’m currently out for summer break. This gives me the flexibility to cater to your pets, ensuring all of their needs are met! House sitting servicies includes staying overnight with your pet so that they have confort and company in their own home. I’d be around for daytime care aswell for potty breaks every 4-6 hours, meals, playtime and of course cuddles! 30 minute walks include a fun stroll through the neighborhood or a nearby trail to give your pet some exercise, mental stimulation and a breath of fresh air!
“Michelle really went above and beyond with my (very dramatic) kitty who needed regular meds while we were gone. She was so accommodating and creative at figuring out how to make sure my cat was taken care of. 🥰”

About: I have taken care of dogs from a young age and have great experience and have had happy families with the dogs I’ve taken on walks and have simply checked in on. Pet care fits into my routine between classes and study time. I walk, feed, and play with them daily and it’s relaxing and keeps me active too. Ensure they are properly well fed and given water and taken out when needed. Aswell as playing with their toys and or getting a nap in as pets enjoy doing so when they are comfortable
About: I have had dogs all my life. Whether it was a big dog or a small dog I love dogs of all kinds. I have a flexible schedule and work to make sure you have an enjoyable experience. I would love to take care of your dog or cat when the time arises you need services to care for your beloved pet. As a dog mom myself I know the key importance of leaving your little one in good hands. I have a one year old cavachon dog named Brynn and she means everything to me! I can’t wait to meet your furry friend! Contact me and we can set up a meet and greet. I look forward to working with your dog or cat!
About: I am the go to pet sitter in my family and group of friends. My husband and I have been unable to get our own pet up to this point due to lease agreements. However, I am meant to have a pet and have lots of care to give! I love to go on long walks and it’s way more fun with a pet friend. I have experience with extremely reactive, large dogs, antisocial cats, and everything in between. I love going on walks and make sure to get out of the house every day! I don’t commute to work which frees up extra time in my day. I make sure to follow the pet parents’ lead and protocol. Our friends often have a well established routine, so I make sure to follow it to not disrupt the animal. However, when possible, I like to spoil a little! That includes longer walks, extra words of praise, and playing with their favorite toys (fetch, tug-o-war, etc).
“Rusty did a terrific job with a drop-in visit I recently booked. Rusty took the time to get to know the dogs and the lay of the land with a meet and greet several days prior to the actual drop-in, which I appreciated. One of my dogs is an incredibly energetic dachshund puppy and the other is a senior dachshund with some trust issues. Rusty was incredibly knowledgable with how to handle both and I felt at ease with Rusty as my choice. I especially appreciate how communicative Rusty was throughout the process and they even sent me some cute pictures of my dogs during the visit. Thanks, Rusty!”

“Sabine is great with my two cats! I've used her a couple times and each time she sends lots of pictures and gives me updates on the cats behavior. One of my cats is a little slow in warming up to strangers so Sabine gives her space but still makes sure she's doing good. My cats are well taken care of and I would highly recommend!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Suscol. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
