About: Hello! I'm Ashley. I am 34 years old. I am from Stuart, FL. I am working in Bar Harbor for the summer from April to October. I have always been an animal lover and if I could afford a farm and have every type of animal in it... I would. I have owned, dogs, fish, and birds. I have had dogs most of my life. I had a Jack Russell who lived to be 11 years old named Romeo...He was a ball of energy, he had eye problems and needed drops daily. I also had a Rat Terrier named Oliver, we bought him at a year old. He lived to be 14 years old. Most recently my sister currently has a mini golden doodle, who is 4 years old. I loved taking my dogs on the trails in the parks. If I didn’t travel so much, I would love a dog of my own. I work seasonal contract jobs outside the National parks, mainly in the summer season. I go walking everyday & I would love to bring your pup with me. I am renting a place with other people so I would have to go to their home. I am very attentive and can play with them in the yard or whatever is asked.

About: I have always had dogs in my life, and I currently have 3 of my own. I worked in veterinary emergency and critical care for 2 years and spent several months at a fear-free general practice before needing to take a step back from vetmed. I have 6 years of personal experience with dog training and behavior, and spent some time volunteering for a rescue on the administrative end. I am very knowledgeable on dog behavior/body language and I am comfortable working with a wide range of temperaments, ages, and breeds. Puppies, medical/behavioral needs pups, and seniors are my specialty! I am also RECOVER CPR certified. My schedule is wide open most days, and we are a very active family! We frequently go for hikes and spend time with our dogs in nature. My whole world revolves around animals and I love being able to experience the great outdoors with dogs. I use reward-based/force-free handling techniques with any dog I interact with. I try my hardest to set dogs up for success in my interactions with them - I am not afraid to spend as much time as needed to gain the trust of a fearful dog before attempting to interact directly. I am a strong believer in using body language, reward, and moving at the dog's pace to ensure dogs make good choices and have a positive experience every time they interact with me. I treat all pets I interact with as if they are my own!

About: I have worked with a variety of pets from cats and dogs to exotics like lizards and snakes. I am more than happy to help with all pet care needs, from puppy pads to pills, and maybe even a scaly friend or two. :) I work 8-5 Sat-Tues and 12-9 on Fri, but have Wednesday and Thursday off each week. If your furry friend needs a midday walk or some loving while you work I would be happy to stop in on my days off! Willing to adapt to your pets needs. Easy walk around the block? Absolutely! Roughhousing at the dog park? No problem! Every pet is different and needs attention that suits their care needs.

“Jessica was amazing! I am a new “dog mom,” to my 10 week old puppy! I reached out to Jessica to check on him during the day while I was at work. This was the first day he had been left alone since I picked him up at 8 weeks, and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to check on him! She had amazing communication throughout the entire day and was incredibly flexible when I needed to change some plans at the end of the day! I felt much better being at work with Jessica looking after him! She made the whole process easy and relieved a lot of stress and worry I had! Highly recommend!”

About: 🐱🐶 Animals have been my whole world my whole life! I have experience with a variety of animals from fish 🐠 to turtles🐢 as well as dogs🐕 and cats🐈⬛. I use positive reinforcement training techniques with our three rescue dogs and I use worship all cats techniques with our cats 😆. I am comfortable and familiar with the needs of puppies and kittens as well as senior animals. So medication💊 and physical therapy💪 exercises are something I am happy to provide! I went to college for animal behavior and animal sciences and have a degree in Ecology 🌎 I completed a 2 year course in wildlife rehabilitation. I will treat your animals as if they were my own and that means they get the utmost care and attention. 🫡 I will respect and follow whatever your babies' needs and preferences are as well as yours when it comes to them and to your space. 💓 We love taking our dogs on all sorts of outdoor adventures but safety is always our top priorty⛰️🦺! I am great at reading animals and understanding the different personalities and quirks they each have so I can provide them with the best care that works for them 🧐 Every animal is different but they all deserve our best! I have a flexible schedule and my own car that allows me to be an adaptive and on call care giver. I don't mind late bookings or cancelations as I understand that things come up. I am new to rover and still figuring out what works best but am always willing to work with clients on what works best for them and their pets. Animals are my first priority but I also believe homes and personal spaces are sacred and I will always treat them with respect and attention. All animals are different so its important to use to always be aware of anything potentially unsafe. Our home is for animals first and there is nowhere they aren't allowed although animal guests and clients are always fully supervised to make sure they are safe and comfortable. Our home is very easy going and has a lot of space for different needs and comforts. In your home, I will defer to your personal preferences always.

“My pup is a typical Mainer and slow to warm up to new people! So Monique's first visit with Dakota went about as expected and I greatly appreciated her efforts with my stubborn doggo!”

“Kelly was wonderful! The day before our scheduled walk, she came out to meet my dog at the campground we were staying. This gave me a chance to see how she interacted with my dog. She was so calm and gentle with him. I knew he was in very good hands with Kelly. I highly recommend Kelly!”

About: I have been taking care of my own dog since I was 11! I would make sure to take him on walks, give him his baths, and make sure he’s well and fed. It has turned me into a huge animal lover and I make sure to build a personal connection with any pets I meet. I have rescued cats and dogs before! I believe they deserve all the love and care humans are expected to have 🐶🐱❤️ I have classes Monday-Thursday, but can easily fit in time to go see your pet before or after! I’m available all throughout Friday and the weekend. I would love to go let your furry friend out of the house. I make sure that the pet feels comfortable with me in their space. Every pet is different! I like to know the general “rules” of the home; Where can the pet not be in the house? Is the pet allowed to eat human food? Are there certain hours the pet shouldn’t be out? Etc. I would also like to keep allergies in mind! I wouldn’t want to bring food in that my client is allergic to and have it invade their space. There are many important factors when it comes to caring for someone’s home and their pet.

I look forward to meeting you and getting to know you and your dog(s)! My work schedule is flexible and I’m not usually gone for longer than 3 to 4 hours. About: From horses to bunnies to ducks, I’ve cared for them all! Since I was a little girl, my home has been full of animals, which sparked a deep, natural desire to care for them. Right now, my family includes 3 senior dogs, 2 senior horses, and 2 guinea pigs so I’m very familiar with the patience, attentiveness, and gentle care that aging pets need. I’ve developed a lifelong experience provides me comfort with a wide range of animals and my ability to adapt to their individual needs. I’m confident caring for senior pets, administering medication, and offering the calm, loving presence animals thrive on. Whether your pet is playful, shy, or needs a little extra TLC, I’m here to make them feel safe and loved while you're away. My weekly schedule is mostly consistant but can change from time to time. Most weeks I work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9-5. Therefore I am only available on wednesdays and remaining weekdays after 5 pm When caring for your pet in your home, my goal is to provide an stress-free, familiar environment where your pet feels safe and loved. About: If you’ve ever owned a pet, you already know how much fun and affection they can bring. But did you know that pets also come with some pretty powerful mental and physical health benefits? Dogs in particular can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, ease loneliness, encourage exercise and playfulness, and even improve your cardiovascular health. Caring for a dog can help children grow up more secure and active. Dogs also provide valuable companionship for older adults. Perhaps most importantly, though, a dog can add real joy and unconditional love to your life. More than any other animal, dogs have evolved to become acutely attuned to humans and our behavior and emotions. While dogs are able to understand many of the words we use, they’re even better at interpreting our tone of voice, body language, and gestures. And like any good human friend, a loyal dog will look into your eyes to gauge your emotional state and try to understand what you’re thinking and feeling (and to work out when the next walk or treat might be coming, of course). I have a dog 🐶 at home, 2! It’s second nature 2 me, but always a priority 2 ensure the pets I look after have 100% of my attention while 2gthr. I never forget 2 fill water bowls, provide reward treats, feed on time , get outside of course, excercise at least 30mins a day & have calm comfortable place 2 sleep. It’s easy 2 do since I need many of the same things they need!! I truly adore dogs. In 2021 I saved the life of a choking dog using choking protocol & cpr. His name is Savoy, an 11yo JRT living in Copley Sq. After I saved his life, he was rushed to the emergency ASPCA in Brookline where he spent 8 hours on a breathing machine to regain healthy oxygen levels. His family is forever grateful for saving his life & I’m overjoyed knowing he’s happy & healthy again. I’ll never forget that day. R . O . V . E . R . S . T . A . R . S . I . T . T . E . R . R . O .
