About: I am a cat mom of 1, but soon to be 2! I have always had a cat in my household since the day I was born! That’s 21 years of living with cats! At the age of 10, as one of my chores, it was my responsibility to feed our cats and give them water and I loved it! I left the litter box up to my dad! I do now have that responsibility as an adult though! I have always loved being around cats and there were times where there were no cats in our house and it felt very strange! I’ve had a total of 10 cats in my 21 years of life that I absolutely adore and soon to be 11 when we receive our newest addition! Overall, I am very experienced with cats and absolutely love them! About: I've been providing neighborhood pet care since I was 11. Short walkies with tiny terriers, long trails with Labrador retrievers, dog parks, training exercises, puzzle feeders, I've done it and enjoyed it all. I like to make friends with our canine companions, and help them feel safe and secure in the absence of their favorite human(s). I have experience giving pills and administering daily shots, like insulin. I work remotely, so my time is freauently on my own schedule and at my own pace. Having an animal to care for is an added bonus that is easy to work around, and forces me to remember my exercise! Dogs staying at my house get 2 longer walks and a shorter walk per day, depending on age, energy, and ability of the dog. I also try to incorporate a special enrichment activity every day. Example: dog park, trail, swimming, long play/training session, suited to the dog's interests and abilities. The dog's space in my house is also where I work, so I spend a lot of time hanging out with your dog. At your house, I'll ask for their favorite toy or play routine, to keep their space consistent until you come back. I love to put on an audiobook and take dogs on a "sniff walk" where they can just sniff to their heart's content, such great enrichment for their strong noses.

Before they begin their daily naps , I play with each of them. They range in age from 19 to 1 yr. I also check their water bowls throughout the day or night depending. I can give them treats anytime. I also have learned various medical skills and hope to go back to school for a third degree as a vet tech and if life allows veterinary practice.

I provide calm, reliable care for cats, dogs, small animals, chickens, and the occasional household plant that has been left in my emotional custody. Most pets do best when their routine stays familiar, so I keep things simple: food, water, walks, litter, meds as instructed, photos, updates, and a steady human who shows up when she says she will. Many of my clients are away for a weekend, a work trip, a vacation, or a longer stay in Maine. Whether you live here year-round, are visiting for the season, or are here temporarily, I help keep pets settled while their people are away. I’m especially comfortable with cats, senior pets, shy pets, multi-pet homes, and animals who need patience before they decide I’m acceptable. HOUSE SITTING / OVERNIGHT CARE Overnight care is limited and best suited for planned trips, established clients, and pets who need a steady routine. I keep care selective so pets stay comfortable and the house stays sane. Before booking, please share your pet’s routine, personality, medical needs, quirks, and anything they believe is legally theirs. DROP-IN VISITS Best for cats, dogs, small animals, chickens, and pets who prefer their own home and their own couch rules. Visits may include feeding, fresh water, litter, outdoor breaks, medications as instructed, basic tidy-up, and photo updates. Extended visits may be recommended for multiple pets, senior pets, or more involved routines. DOGGY DAY CARE Small-group day care is offered on a limited basis for dogs I already know. Care is calm, structured, supervised, and not a chaotic free-for-all. This is not a high-volume facility-style service. I plan my schedule intentionally to support well-defined care needs and clear timelines. This allows me to provide consistent, attentive care whether you’re traveling nearby or farther from home. Safety and consistency are always a priority. I follow established routines, respect household instructions, and pay close attention to changes in behavior, appetite, or comfort. Clear communication helps ensure a smooth experience while you’re away.
“Where do I start! Melissa and Family are truly the BEST Rover experience we have had! EVER! The care Bella received was priceless! The house and grounds are a dog’s paradise!!! And the humans made sure Bella had daily walks in the woods, swim in the pond, chasing squirrels and chipmunks …so much so, Bella ate and slept well. This is a FIRST FOLKS! I was thinking Bella wouldn’t want to come back home she was having such an amazing time. I know Bella will miss her new human friends and Dhooney that is Bella’s newest best fur friend! To sum up… this stay was PAWSOME!”

I’m not just stopping by to check a box; I’m here to give your pets genuine companionship and give you peace of mind. I’m self-employed, splitting my time between running my creative business from home and nannying, which gives me a flexible schedule and the ability to plan my days around pet care. This allows me to accommodate drop-ins, walks, and overnight stays while still giving each pet the time and attention they deserve. I primarily care for pets in their own homes, where they’re most comfortable! I love keeping their routines as normal as possible while giving them plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and cuddles. I’m also happy to provide overnight care when needed, so both pets and their owners can feel comfortable while they’re away.
About: I have always worked with dogs. I have a specialty in dog grooming and can add that service if requested. I care for dogs like they are my family because they are. I work full time in my grooming business I am flexible and will do my best to fit anyone in to make sure their animals are well cared for in all capacity I have an outdoor kennel and grooming station in my home I have a big backyard and animals safety and care is always my top priority.
About: We are an energetic family that love animals. We will make sure your animal is well looked after and receives the love it deserves ! I will be off this summer and will be home throughout the day to take care of your animals. We can also look after your animal over night. We live in a dead end neighborhood where there are not many cars that pass through. We will make sure there is always a set of eyes on your animal.

“Kate was a gem and truly saved us when we were in a pinch. My dog had a severe allergy flare up when we were on vacation and was in need of a rest day with some TLC. Kate and family went above and beyond to give him all of the blankets, cuddles, and relaxation he needed while we continued hiking in high humidity and wet conditions. I’m super careful about who cares for Tux and am glad I put my trust in Kate! We made it home without worsening Tux’s allergies, and he’s doing much better now.”

About: I've been providing neighborhood pet care since I was 11. Short walkies with tiny terriers, long trails with Labrador retrievers, dog parks, training exercises, puzzle feeders, I've done it and enjoyed it all. I like to make friends with our canine companions, and help them feel safe and secure in the absence of their favorite human(s). I have experience giving pills and administering daily shots, like insulin. I work remotely, so my time is freauently on my own schedule and at my own pace. Having an animal to care for is an added bonus that is easy to work around, and forces me to remember my exercise! Dogs staying at my house get 2 longer walks and a shorter walk per day, depending on age, energy, and ability of the dog. I also try to incorporate a special enrichment activity every day. Example: dog park, trail, swimming, long play/training session, suited to the dog's interests and abilities. The dog's space in my house is also where I work, so I spend a lot of time hanging out with your dog. At your house, I'll ask for their favorite toy or play routine, to keep their space consistent until you come back. I love to put on an audiobook and take dogs on a "sniff walk" where they can just sniff to their heart's content, such great enrichment for their strong noses.
