“Cannot thank charlotte and her husband enough for all their help this last weekend. They were amazing with our pup and have such a great little spot. Charlotte was so sweet and super communicative which is always so nice and reassuring. Would highly recommend them and can't wait for our next visit!”

About: Your pets didn’t book the trip. They still expect room service. I provide calm, reliable care for cats, dogs, small animals, chickens, and the occasional household plant that has been left in my emotional custody. Most pets do best when their routine stays familiar, so I keep things simple: food, water, walks, litter, meds as instructed, photos, updates, and a steady human who shows up when she says she will. Many of my clients are away for a weekend, a work trip, a vacation, or a longer stay in Maine. Whether you live here year-round, are visiting for the season, or are here temporarily, I help keep pets settled while their people are away. I’m especially comfortable with cats, senior pets, shy pets, multi-pet homes, and animals who need patience before they decide I’m acceptable. HOUSE SITTING / OVERNIGHT CARE Overnight care is limited and best suited for planned trips, established clients, and pets who need a steady routine. I keep care selective so pets stay comfortable and the house stays sane. Before booking, please share your pet’s routine, personality, medical needs, quirks, and anything they believe is legally theirs. DROP-IN VISITS Best for cats, dogs, small animals, chickens, and pets who prefer their own home and their own couch rules. Visits may include feeding, fresh water, litter, outdoor breaks, medications as instructed, basic tidy-up, and photo updates. Extended visits may be recommended for multiple pets, senior pets, or more involved routines. DOGGY DAY CARE Small-group day care is offered on a limited basis for dogs I already know. Care is calm, structured, supervised, and not a chaotic free-for-all. This is not a high-volume facility-style service. I plan my schedule intentionally to support well-defined care needs and clear timelines. This allows me to provide consistent, attentive care whether you’re traveling nearby or farther from home. Safety and consistency are always a priority. I follow established routines, respect household instructions, and pay close attention to changes in behavior, appetite, or comfort. Clear communication helps ensure a smooth experience while you’re away.
“Our 11 month old, rambunctious cavalier King Charles spaniel had a wonderful vacation with Emily and Leroy! She went to the beach, on wonderful walks, and had great lap naps. She will definitely be back to visit her new friends the next time we go out of town.”

“Debbie watched our dog on two days while we enjoyed the park and Bar Harbor. She has a perfect setup at her new home for taking care of your dog. She sent pictures throughout the day and was very considerate of my dog’s needs and making sure she was comfortable. Definitely recommend to others!”

“Polly was great with our2 dogs. She’s definitely a “dog person.” Knowledgeable and compassionate. Our dogs didn’t seem to notice when we left they were happily playing with her two friendly, well behaved dogs. We wouldn’t hesitate to use her again. Our dogs loved her. And they were pretty well worn out when we got back to our cabin and they slept all night.”

“I was so comfortable leaving my dog with Karen. She was highly experienced at caring for dogs (hers and others); offered a warm, comfortable family for Mickey to adapt to; and was super communicative. Strongly recommend.”

“Joseph was great; our dog came home happy and clean. From the pictures Joseph sent it looks like he had a good time playing with a few other dogs. I would highly recommend Joseph!”

“Where do I start! Melissa and Family are truly the BEST Rover experience we have had! EVER! The care Bella received was priceless! The house and grounds are a dog’s paradise!!! And the humans made sure Bella had daily walks in the woods, swim in the pond, chasing squirrels and chipmunks …so much so, Bella ate and slept well. This is a FIRST FOLKS! I was thinking Bella wouldn’t want to come back home she was having such an amazing time. I know Bella will miss her new human friends and Dhooney that is Bella’s newest best fur friend! To sum up… this stay was PAWSOME!”

“Kirk was a great caretaker for my dog, Marty! Marty's a little shy and slow to open up at first, and Kirk made him feel safe and happy the first time he stayed with him while I was out of town for a full week during the holidays. Marty got to play with the other dogs that Kirk was taking care of in his large fully fenced-in backyard, so I knew he was having fun and not being overly anxious about me being gone. Kirk sent updates with videos every day. I'll definitely be sending Marty to Kirk's again, and I would recommend his services!”

“Nieves took great care of our two collies. She worked with me to arrive at a convenient schedule for drop off and pick up, and sent me pictures, videos and updates throughout their Rover stay. Highly recommend.”

“Thank you Danielle!! Spice and Coco have indicated that they had a great time. We are so thankful to have found you! It made our trip so much easier to go worry free. The girls seemed very relaxed and every picture you sent over our trip, showed how happy they were. Your attitude during the entire stay they had, was over the top. When our return flight was canceled, and it added an extra day to our trip, you again made us feel at ease. Can't thank you enough, and would use you again on our return next summer. Pat, Sue, Spice and Coco.”

About: As a pet lover for my entire life, I am very open to who I will take in. I have taken care of my family’s dogs and cats. As well as friends’ pets as well. Not just our small pets. I worked on my family farm in the middle of Maine near Dover-Foxcroft. That included Horses, chickens, occasionally some cows and donkeys. I would love to take care of your pets for whenever you need me to. Just give me any details about them. Medical, whether they are in heat, spayed or neutered. I will be sure to accommodate accordingly. You can contact me via email, call, or text. For those who need service at their home, I would gladly organize that with you as well. Small, medium and large pets are all welcomed. As for cancellations and early pickups, I will do my best to be as flexible as I can. As this is for the pet, not the money. ❤️🐾 I currently work part time and I’m a mom of a little boy. I have pets of my own that I take care of on a daily basis. I have integrated my son into my pets lives and they’re all best friends. Being with animals has always been a major part of my life! Currently not offering in home services, or house sitting services. However, when checking in or walking pups I do make sure water bowl is filled if I notice it’s low and I make sure to bring a pop up water bowl on long walks in the summer.
“Booking with Kate was great! We were lucky to fit in their schedule and I think our dog had a better vacation than we did! Kate sent morning and evening updates with pictures so we wouldn’t miss the pup too much. I was also very pleased with how open Kate was about her schedule and what our pup would likely experience on a day-to-day basis. Their home was clean and well pet proofed. I really appreciated how flexible Kate was with the initial meet and greet and I could tell right away that it would be a good fit. Definitely a great option for anyone in the Bangor-Old Town area.”

“Ellie and Sarah are great! Their house has a great setup for dogs with a fenced in area in the yard. They were super responsive to my messages, provided pictures, and asked questions of their own to make sure they provided my pets with excellent care. They were also flexible with my pickup time when my travel plans changed due to weather. Would book again!”

“Kelly is wonderful! She was super easy to communicate with to discuss my cat’s needs. Although my plans changed, I have zero doubt that my cat would have been in excellent hands while I was away. For future travel I definitely hope to use Kelly!”

“Chuck is awesome and a true animal lover! My partner and I just moved to Cambridge and were in need of a last minute sitter to check in on our cat Dexter twice a day while we were out of town. Chuck responded to our request quickly, made time to stop by the very next day to meet Dexter before we left town, and took amazing care of our little guy while we were away. I loved Chuck’s colorful updates and appreciated his quick response to our questions about how Dexter was doing. I came home to an incredibly healthy and happy cat with his food and water topped up and a clean litter box and home. Thanks, Chuck! You rock!”

“Jill was wonderful! She was kind, professional, and very caring for my two cats while I was away. I would not hesitate to book her services again and recommend her wholeheartedly.”

We will definitely use Julia in the future for any cat sitting needs!”

About: Hello! I'm Jess - I'm from Northern California and moved to Maine last year. Growing up we always had dogs (and sometimes cats), so I learned to take care of pets from a young age. I was the go-to person in my neighborhood for pet-sitting and dog-walking. I look forward to meeting you & your fur babies! I'm currently only working through Rover, so my schedule is very flexible right now! I'm available for drop-ins, all-day stays and overnights, as well as for long-term pet-sitting in your home. I love making every animal feel cared for - from playing with them, going on long walks outside, providing pets and cuddles, giving them occasional treats, etc. I care for every pet as if they were my own. I also love to send little text and video updates, so you can check in on them while you're away. I've even done FaceTimes with pets and their owners!

About: I provide calm, patient, and detail oriented care tailored specifically to cats and their unique personalities. I pay close attention to subtle changes in behavior, appetite, and litter box habits, which can be early signs of stress or discomfort. I’m comfortable administering medications when needed, following feeding schedules, providing enrichment and playtime, brushing, and maintaining very clean litter boxes (yes—deep cleaning included). I take pride in keeping your cat’s space tidy, calm, and comfortable while you’re away. I’m dependable and highly communicative, and I provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your cat is safe, relaxed, and well cared for at home.

About: I am a cat mom of 1, but soon to be 2! I have always had a cat in my household since the day I was born! That’s 21 years of living with cats! At the age of 10, as one of my chores, it was my responsibility to feed our cats and give them water and I loved it! I left the litter box up to my dad! I do now have that responsibility as an adult though! I have always loved being around cats and there were times where there were no cats in our house and it felt very strange! I’ve had a total of 10 cats in my 21 years of life that I absolutely adore and soon to be 11 when we receive our newest addition! Overall, I am very experienced with cats and absolutely love them! I love their cuddles most of all!
“Bohni was a treat on all levels!!! She stayed with my cat for 3 nights and 4 days.. I think my cat likes her more. The house was better than I left it.. Angel was calm and happy.. I was able to be away from her for the first time and feel confident in her STELLAR care.. if there were 10 stars she would get them all!!!!! Got photos all well everyday!!!! Happy customer”

We were nervous to leave her, but they sent videos of her happily eating minutes after we left and of her playing with the other dogs soon after. They were also so accommodating. About: I have cared for friends' pets throughout the years and always enjoyed spending more time with them while also helping out a friend in need. I also have experience working in a shelter environment and volunteer at a wildlife rehab facility in Hancock County. I recently returned to school and am graduating as a licensed veterinary technician from UMA Bangor. I look forward to providing the care you need for your pets with the skills and knowledge of a licensed professional. I have a flexible schedule most days of the week, except Wednesday. I am generally an early riser if morning walks or check-ins are needed. Please feel free to reach out and we'll make a plan. Building a relationship with you and your pet is my priority. All animals have specific needs; knowing what those are as well as your expectations for care, walks, crating, treats, etc. will ensure a safe and positive experience.
“Kelly did a great job walking and hanging out with Milo! She was very prompt, took special interest in what Milo liked to do, and reached out with questions during their stay together. I highly recommend!”

About: I’ve taken care of animals of all kinds since I was old enough to walk, from horses to dogs and cats. I love animals and am very responsible. I am currently enrolled in college, so any house sitting must be pretty close to school or apartment in the bangor area. Otherwise I am pretty flexible and willing to work with you as long as you are willing to work with me:) Since I am enrolled in college, I cannot pet-sit in my own home. But I love animals and I believe they are more comfortable in the comfort of their own home and I am very tidy and will pick up after myself and your pet, if need be.
“Communicative and flexible with some last minute changes. Arrived for a first time walk just as I was getting home from an unexpectedly long work day so the dog was bonkers. Chloe met the chaos with calm and professionalism, instantly made friends with the dog and the dog had a great time. Will definitely be hiring again”

And cared for my neighbors’ dogs. From volunteering I’ve learn much about behaviors for both dogs and cats and have discovered I have a talent for working with them. I decided at retiring that I would like to begin in home pet sitting earning a living. I also manage an Airbnb with pets and have had great experiences with both dogs and and cats. I’m available all times but desire at least a week in advance notice. Daily weekly and hourly with breaks when needed for managing my Airbnb. Usually to clean after check out. Also per your needs I will need to have a brief break in the day to drive home to make sure my cats are fed and happy with some play time if I am asked to do overnights. I have 4 cats now. They get fed on special foods on a schedule. When they are eating I clean their cat boxes and when they are finished, I clean their bowls. Before they begin their daily naps , I play with each of them. They range in age from 19 to 1 yr. I also check their water bowls throughout the day or night depending. I can give them treats anytime. I also have learned various medical skills and hope to go back to school for a third degree as a vet tech and if life allows veterinary practice.

About: Animals have always been a passion of mine. I grew up with several different animals and have always loved being around them and taking care of them! At a very young age I really wanted to work with animals and that same passion of working with them is still the same today! As of right now, my schedule varies! I could be working any shift from 6:30-2:30, 7:30-4:30, 9:15-5:15, or 12:15-5:15. I am a new mom who is trying to make ends meet but working still isn’t helping because daycare is so expensive! I am really trying to pet sit part time or even full time! My weekends and holidays are always open except for the occasional family trips in the summer! I do not have a fenced in yard at my home so that means that your fur babies will be kept on a leash when taking them outside. Your fur babies will also be kept company by 2 friendly dogs and 2 friendly cats! I also have to crate one of my dogs so I can easily crate dogs if needed!
