About: I've cared for family dogs most of my life which has left me with an abundance of experience with caring for dogs. I had a beautiful 13 year old pug, who I was the main caregiver for, who passed away in 2021 due to cancer. Since then, I have slowly begun to care for other people's dogs and I am absolutely loving it! My availability is currently open so it is a great time to book me! About: I grew up with my own pets and have always loved animals. One of my favorite things about them is that no two pets are ever the same. Every animal has their own personality and their own way of showing you what they need. I began working with animals in 2020 as a kennel technician. I cared for pets while they were boarding and made sure they were fed, comfortable and clean while still feeling loved away from home. I later gained experience assisting veterinary technicians and caring for pets in a veterinary hospital. I helped with routine appointments, medications and emergencies. I also worked in veterinary reception and became familiar with many different aspects of pet care. I love caring for all kinds of animals. That includes energetic dogs and puppies who love to explore as well as pets who would rather relax at home and spend time with a companion. I also have a special place in my heart for senior pets. My oldest dog is 20 years and is still happy, playful and full of personality. Although he is now blind and deaf, he still has the heart and spirit of a puppy. Over the years we have learned how to adapt to his needs and help him confidently get around. He has taught me so much about patience, understanding and how much joy our pets can bring to our lives at every age. I know how much your pets mean to you because I feel the same way about my own. I treat every pet I care for like they are my own. I want you to feel confident knowing they are receiving the same love, patience and attention I would want for my pets. I would love the opportunity to get to know your companion and care for them just as you would while you are away. 🐾 I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide your pets with care, attention and walks around their usual routines. I can also provide consistent play breaks and plenty of attention throughout the day. On weekends especially, I love being active and exploring new parks and places. If your pet is energetic and loves an adventure, I would be happy to bring them along! If they would rather stay home and snuggle, they will get plenty of affection from me too. I know that leaving your pet with someone else is not always easy. Your pets are family and I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with their care. When I meet a new pet, I always pay attention to their body language and take the time to understand what makes them comfortable. Some pets are excited to meet someone new while others may need more time to warm up. I do everything I can to meet each pet where they are and adapt to their individual needs. During walks, drop-in visits and house sitting, I will follow your pet's usual routines and your instructions as closely as possible. I will make sure they receive the care, exercise, attention and love they need while keeping you updated along the way. My goal is not only to make sure your pet is happy, healthy and comfortable but also to give you peace of mind while you are away. I want you to feel confident knowing your pet is well cared for and hopefully not miss them too much! When house sitting, I understand that I am also caring for your home. I will treat your space with the same respect and care I would want for my own.
