Pet care is a natural part of my day—I plan my schedule around their needs, making sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and love throughout the day. No matter where I’m caring for your pet—my home or yours—I make sure they’re safe, comfortable, and relaxed. I keep things clean, stick to their routine, and give them plenty of love and attention. You’ll also get updates and cute photos so you know they’re doing great!

About: I’ve cared for many pets over the years for family and friends, and it’s something I genuinely enjoy. I’m very attentive and make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owner is away. I follow routines closely, whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, or just giving them attention and companionship. I treat every pet like my own and always make sure they’re happy, clean, and cared for. Right now I have a very flexible schedule, so pet sitting fits easily into my daily routine. I’m able to be available most times of the day, which allows me to give pets the time, attention, and care they deserve. Since my schedule isn’t packed, I can focus on making sure each pet is comfortable, safe, and well taken care of while their owners are away. When I’m caring for pets at home, I make sure they get plenty of food, fresh water, exercise, and attention throughout the day. I take them on at least two or three walks during the day and make sure they get lots of playtime so they stay active and happy. I also keep their space clean, make sure feeding schedules are followed, and give them plenty of attention so they feel comfortable. At night I make sure they have a safe, comfortable place to sleep and that they’re settled in for the night. In the morning I repeat the routine by checking their food and water, taking them out for a walk, and making sure they start the day happy and well cared for.

About: Life long dog owner. Over forty years of experience with large active breeds. From rescue to training giving fur babies an active fun day. I currently have three well behaved German Shepherds that go on long daily walks on a leash or running free at dog beaches and hikes out in the open fields in Otay lakes. I have a large kennel and a back yard with plenty of room for a comfortable stay. I’m currently retired and have plenty of time to have fun with my dogs getting in different adventures daily. We enjoy long hikes to lakes or ponds and frequently go swimming at OB dog beach and fiesta island. Now that I’m retired I would like to dedicate myself to dog training. I have a fenced yard half the yard is a kennel but the kennel stays open for full yard to roam. My pups are usually following me around the house all day so I try to keep them active with training and hikes or long walks. For smaller indoor dogs I will provide a comfortable environment indoors with their own separate kennel to sleep in at night making sure they are pampered and spoiled. My dogs are very gentle and friendly and socialized around different size dogs their whole lives. They also have their own area that they like and stay in that can be secured for added safety.

About: I've loved and have taken care of dogs my whole life. I'm naturally curious about them and believe there is no such thing as a bad dog. I am working toward becoming a canine trainer and am currently under apprenticeship. Caring for dogs is very rewarding for me and a true passion of mine. My friends and family have sought me out for advice and to care for their pets and I would love the opportunity to care for yours as well. I have a flexible work schedule and am available for boarding 7 nights per week and for sitting every day. I can also pick up and drop off for an additional fee. I have a large fenced back yard (about 1/8 of an acre), with mixed concrete, dirt with shade. Your pup will be able to play inside and out, and will find it hard not to get along with my 8 year old Labradoodle, Maui.

I love meeting new furry friends cause they always remind me about my good soul or spirit. It makes me happy. Cats and dogs gravitate twords all the time. “After utilizing Rover for a year now, Sonia is our new top choice for our babies. Her attention to detail is immaculate and she is extremely professional and really provides you peace of mind. From our time using Rover, we haven't had any dog-sitter go such above and beyond as Sonia has. She goes as far as to wash our Tupperwares for our dog's food and bowls upon return! (I have never had this happen and it is soooooo appreciated!!! :)) We've had previous dog-sitters that are great with our dogs, keep them entertained and care for them but we've never had a sitter actually be able to remember all the details of our dogs behaviors, likes/dislikes, allergies and be able to follow our feeding schedule/amounts properly. Sonia has really impressed us with both how much she cares after our dogs but also how on point she is with following care instructions. Our younger dog has taken to her so much that he cries out of excitement when he sees her and doesn't seem like he wants to come home when we pick him up! Sonia is great and we 10/10 recommend her.”
