About: I’ve cared for cats and dogs most of my life and really enjoy connecting with each pet’s unique personality. Caring for my senior dog Benji during his later years taught me a lot about patience and paying attention to the little things that make a big difference in their comfort and happiness. I’m gentle and patient with shy or nervous pets and enjoy creating calm, low-stress environments. But I’m also happy to play and engage with energetic pets to help them burn off energy and feel satisfied by the end of our visit. I’m comfortable administering medications and always treat pets and their homes with respect and care. I work full time during the week, so most of my availability is in the early mornings (6-9 am), evenings (after 5:30 pm), and weekends. There can be some flexibility there if we work it out ahead of time :) I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine as much as possible, and I make sure they still get plenty of attention and care during the times I’m with them. If your pet needs a consistent schedule, just let me know and I’ll do my best to accommodate. When I visit your home, I treat it with the same care and respect I’d want for my own. About: Hi, I’m Lauren! I was a proud dog mom to two amazing girl dogs until recently, and I truly miss the joy of caring for a dog. While my family isn’t ready to have another of our own just yet, I’d love to help others by spending time with their furry family members. When I was young, I worked as a Seeing Eye Dog trainer, which gave me years of experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I’m patient, reliable, and comfortable with everything from playful puppies to older companions who just want a calm walk and a cuddle. Whether you need drop-ins, walks, or overnight care, I’ll make sure your pup feels loved, safe, and right at home while you’re away. I work a hybrid schedule. Typcailly I work from home on Wednesdays and always Fridays. On the work from home days, I don't start until 10AM so I am free in the mornings and will take my lunch for the afternoon walks. In our home, we have an enclosed deck. Gate if needed to avoid the stairs. Nothing on the ground to chew. Pet free home. In other homes, I am always wondering where the pup is. I ensure to keep a close eye if they tend to be a trouble maker.
About: My home was set up for an 80lb dog with a fenced in yard and areas around the house. Should be very comfortable for any dog. I’m very attentive to the pets, making sure their needs are met and that they are safe and sound. When I take on a job, my schedule is pretty cleared out for it since I’m a retired person. I can schedule my time around the care of your pet. I care for pets in my home by keeping an eye on them. Taking them out into the fenced yard and walking them twice a day. If they like to play fetch or tug I’ll do that with them too. I keep them fed, watered, exercised and rested.

About: My whole life I was surrounded by animals. Even now with my partner having many large energetic dogs, and even having dozens of puppies at one point. I was trusted to take care of their fur babies by staying over night by friends, family, and neighbors. I even have knowledge of taking care of seniors, as my own dog couldn’t walk very well and had bathroom issues. But we made it work with stroller walks and diapers. I am currently a student at brookdale until may 12th then i will be full time at target in Middletown. it is mainly 8 hour shifts and i know that is a long time away from your pups but i will spent the time i am with them to the full extent! I am usually available most of the day and night, but I would like a heads up if you need some pets watched. Even though I don’t offer services in my own home, I do treat your house if I were taking care of mine. I’ll do my best to keep your house tidy and mess free for a stress free arrival.

This is the second time Alex has visited our Kitty while we were out of town, and she is the best sitter we could ever ask for! She’s so attentive and sweet. Ella was amazing with my pup! Ella does check in’s for me while I’m at work and my dog is not the easiest to handle sometimes. She is scared of everything and does not cooperate with new people without me around but Ella was so patient and got my dog to love and trust her quickly! By the third day my dog was running around the yard with her and eating all her food. When I go to the office I know my dog is in good hands and I don’t have to worry. Ella is a great dog sitter and truly cares for the dogs she is watching.
We are so happy to have found Allison. This is our second year having her during our family vacation. We have a 13 y/o dog and of course it’s always nerve wracking leaving him, but I know he’s in good hands with Allison. She is so patient with him and writes the best summaries of their time together. A few times she came and he was asleep, or wouldn’t eat, and she was able to adjust and still get him fed, walked and loved on each visit. Highly recommend!

sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
