“Bill knows dogs! He took our rambunctious three year old & they got along great. He had a couple of dogs & we took Rossi there for a meet & greet so he could see how they got along. We took Rossi to Bill’s the next day because Rossi was treated so well. He sent photo & text updates a couple of times each day. 5 stars.”

“Our girl Scout had the best time at summer camp (aka Yvette’s) lol. We went away on vacation and Scout stayed at Yvette’s for the week - We wouldn’t have wanted her to be anywhere else. Yvette & her husband welcome her into their home like she’s their own! We got tons of updates and pics of Scout on walks, playing in the lovely backyard, snuggled up on the bed, and getting treated with her fav treats -carrots :-) Yvette is the best and you will NOT regret hiring her to take care of your babies. ❤️🐾 thank you Yvette!!!”

“Anmol and Trupti are very loving sitters and my bichon Pye thrived quite happily under their care during my whole week away. I highly recommend them!!!”

“Eduardo took great care of my big personality dachshund! I needed last minute care and they were so quick and responsive. They sent photos during the stay and my pup had a great time! Will definitely use them in the future!”

“Sumit is a great pet sitter. He took care of Leo recently and paid attention to his needs. He took extra care to calm Leo down and made him at ease in the new environment. He kept sending occasional updates on Leo. I would recommend Sumit any day.”

“Thank you Kimberley for taking care of Vito. Your kindness and knowledge of my senior dog was incredible. I want to also thank you for your patience with me as I was a first time user of Rover and was a little awkward in using the app. I enjoyed my time at my event because I knew Vito was in safe hands. Thank you.”

“Stephanie was great! I had issue with my flight because of the snowstorm and we were able to work around that. Duckie was very well cared for and had a great time. I will definitely recommend her and use her again.”

“Neli is great! We cannot recommend her enough! She took good care of our dog Toby and sent us regular updates, videos and photos. She communicated any concerns punctually which gave us peace of mind. Her house is super clean and she has a nice backyard with a small fence which was great for our little dog. Toby came home so happy and relaxed. We will definitely book her again.”

“Aileen and Bobby were amazing dog sitters! Very responsive and always sending pictures and updates. Tug was such a sweet boy too & a great playmate for my dog. I think my dog slept for 2 days straight after he came home he had such a good time, thanks again Aileen!”

“Meg and her family were everything that we were looking for for our dearest Pinji! A loving family home with a fenced yard, a fellow doggie(Jameson & Pinji almost looked like twins!! 💕) their daughter Kensie who's a cutie pie and just like our home, treating Pinji as a family member and allowing her everywhere and even sleeping on her bed with her! This was above and beyond what we were looking for and we're so happy that we found them! God Bless this family forever 🙏🏻💖💞”

“We left our super energetic 10 month old French bulldog Frankie with Ken for 3 days and 2 nights. He took great care of him and sent him home healthy and tired. We would definitely recommend him! He’s very nice and gives good updates. He seems to really loves dogs.”

“Brian and his family are remarkably wonderful! I’ve boarded my bichons many many times. My Benny always enjoys his time there and I have no worries. Their home is so well suited for pet care. I recently had a month long stay away to care for a friend and Brian took amazing care of Benny who is 12 and diabetic. He feels at home there. I lost one of my bichons late last year to cancer and Brian and his family were so kind and empathetic. I highly recommend!!!”
“Was worried since this was a first time visiting this house with Milo and Maui but they looked so comfortable! I was so happy to see my cats and Lenny was so sweet and caring. Both my cats were able to have seperate rooms which was also so great.”

Karina and Chris are super friendly and took great care of my 10 yro pitty who was dealing with a leg issue. They were attentive, responsive and provided great communication while we were away for the week. Most importantly our dog seems to really have enjoyed his stay.

Susana was an amazing host to our Rocky. She kept us up-to-date highlighting us on what was going on for the day and sending us pictures. He definitely was having an amazing time! I am so grateful that I was able to enjoy our vacation at ease, knowing that he was in good hands.

Paul and Kathryn were great with my 10 month old puppy Maya. They are such a nice family and I'm so glad my puppy got to spend the week with them. Maya seemed well cared for and I was told she had a good time with their two dogs and kids. They sent regular updates and pictures which was really reassuring when leaving your pet with someone. I would definitely recommend them and will be using them again.

Kevin was great with our Aussiedoodle Kruk. Kruk is 1 years old and very high puppy energy. He kept him busy walked him 3 times a day and took amazing care of him. When we went to pick him up he was happy as can be like we never left! Couldn’t ask for more. We got daily pictures and food updates. I will definitely be using Kevin in the future.

Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
