“If you need a pet sitter in Stowe, hire Sarah! She watched our King Charles Cavalier Spaniel for a night while we were on vacation, and she was fantastic. Sarah is so warm and friendly. She truly treated our pup like gold, making sure he got his walks and plenty of cuddle time while we were away. It made our night out completely stress-free knowing he was in such loving hands.”

About: I’m an animal lover to the core and not a single dog frightens me. I dog sit Mini Yorkies up to German Shepards for my friends and family and have always had dogs in my life. In the past, I’ve assisted caring for my mother’s chihuahua who pinched a nerve in his spine and had been paralyzed from his waist down so I’m familiar with mildly handicapped dogs. I go on hikes/walks through town forests every weekend with friends, so what’s another dog or two in the mix! Generally available weekday evenings and weekends. Whatever activities your dog enjoys or you prefer your dog to partake in, I will gladly oblige as it would be my responsibility to keep them as happy and comfortable in your absence. I have my own one year old GSD/Border Collie mix who is extremely friendly and loves to play and socialize. I currently work remotely which allows for flexibility to take care of my own pets, as well as my neighbors when they are working. While I have more flexibility in the evenings during the week, I can always make time during a weekday if the need is there. I live in an area that is abundant with fellow dogs and dog friends, allowing for socializing and extra entertainment and enrichment if the prospective dog works well with others. I’m also a short distance from a massive dog park where I take my own boy to get out some off leash zoomies. I have three cats in house who are familiar with dogs but will make themselves scarce if they’re uncomfortable and have their own room to hide where no dogs can go.
“5 Stars – Wonderful Dog Sitter! I couldn’t be happier with the care my dog received. Chad was incredibly attentive, responsible, and clearly has a real love for animals. They kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me peace of mind. Thank you!”

“Wendy was amazing when I had to leave short notice for a trip. She came on time everyday and was eager to take care of my dog’s needs. My dog was so naturally comfortable around Wendy and she took such good care of her in my absence . She communicated throughout the visits and provided the best photos. Highly recommend Wendy and will be rebooking!”

“I went on a ski trip with my family and we needed somebody to look after our dog at the hotel while we skied. I am so happy we found Giuliana who is trustworthy and reliable. Plans ended up changing last minute but she was extremely flexible and understanding. In addition to this she was so sweet to Denali. We came back to a smiling pupper:)”

“I’ve been using Allison for the last month on our work days. She is reliable, detail oriented, safety focused, and communicative. She has given me so much peace to know that our two dogs are going to be walked and fed by someone so responsible and caring. Can’t recommend her enough.”

About: I truly enjoy the opportunity to care for dogs of all ages and of all types. It’s not just a source of income, but something I truly enjoy. I frequently dog and house sit for family and friends, and look forward to doing the same for you. I currently have open availability to dedicate to taking care of your pups. I am happy to check in on them, take them for walks, make sure they are fed, provide overnight pet sitting (at your home). I had a pup of my own for fourteen years, but don’t have one at the moment. I look forward to the opportunity! I am available to walk, feed, and pet sit at your home. Long walks for exercise, spending time to be sure they are comfortable, whatever is required. I unfortunately do not have boarding at my home as the building I’ve lived in for nearly twenty years is designated a “historical landmark” and pets are prohibited.

I also own FURBO so if I have to step out , your animal will always be watched. I work from home so can accommodate almost any request or care need, just ask! I Can keep your dog or cat separate from my dog if need be.
About: I tend to pet sit for family and friends. They request me personally due to loving animals and how I get along with their animals. I am out of work due to surgery. I can drop in anytime. Thought becoming a sitter during this time would be a good use of my time and get me out of the house. I always make sure the dog and/or cat is taking care of (Food, water, ect). I will stay to keep them company and give attention to them.

About: I have been fortunate enough to have grown up with dogs and then continue to own dogs for my entire life. While growing up we owned big dogs, little dogs, smart dogs, goofy dogs and everything in between. When I had a farm and family I continued the tradition of having all types, sizes and temperaments of dogs. I have been solely responsible for training, care and loving all these pups. To say I have learned a lot the old fashioned way would be an understatement. Currently,,I own six Australian Shepherds. I started a very small but very responsible breeding program in 2020. I would have one litter a year by different moms. After a lot of research and talking to different rescues I learned how this particular breed is very misunderstood and end up abandoned or turned over to shelters. I then immediately came to the conclusion I did not want to add to this situation but wanted to be part of the solution. I then turned my sights to rescuing. This has become my passion and I am still helping out Australian Shepherds Furever rescue 3 years later. I have raised pups for them and took the mothers as well. I have personally interviewed and filtered through possible adopters for the pups and the mothers when they were ready. I trained all of our puppies and continue the training processes with the fosters. I have also done some competing with my Aussies and have gained achievement rewards with them. I have a love and passion for all animals and respect each animal individually. Each one is different and learn, trust and love differently. It's this understanding that separates me from other individuals. I currently have 6 Aussies, three cats and all kinds of farm animals. My focus is mostly with the cats and dogs. I do work a full time job but when I'm at home I'm rotating dogs so each one can get the love, attention, stimulation and focus that they deserve. I am always working on training, repetition, and a schedule so days and nights run smoothly in the home. Every dog and cat gets the time and love that they deserve and seek. I'm looking to fill weekends currently and if it's close by I could pull off a week here and there to spend time with other's pets. During these times my other half is home and can show them the attention they need. We won't tell my other half but they enjoy mom time better... Wink wink While in a clients home and taking care of the clients fur babies I will keep the same schedule and routine that those fur babies are already use to. Additionally, if they need to be medicated I will follow those guidelines as well as any outdoor or exercise guidelines. The last thing that I want to do is upset those fur babies anymore than they may already be because mom and dad are gone. My goal is for those fur babies to become part of my large family of fur babies and except me as one of their own. HopefullyI will be liked and utilized enough by your family that me being there is like part of the family visiting.
“Janice was so wonderful to work with. She is a very experienced pet sitter and she cares deeply about animals. She is an excellent communicator and stayed in touch with me and sent photos throughout our time away. She was really committed to making sure our dog was cared for and that we were able to have peace of mind while we were away. I really appreciate her care and am very glad we connected with her on Rover.”

About: I have been around dogs since I was 5 years old andI grew up with every breed under the sun. I currently live with a golden retriever and an small Italian greyhound mix. I trained many of my service dog’s tasks myself and love teaching old dogs new tricks. I work from home with a very flexible schedule so making sure your pets are comfy and taken care of will always be my priority! I am a service dog handler and have learned a ton about dog body language over the course of being part of a team. My goal with all the pups I interact with is to prioritize their comfort and their needs.
About: I have had dogs in my life since I can remember, from family dogs to dog sitting for friends in high school, to now owning my own two little creatures. I am knowledgeable and comfortable with high-anxiety dogs and leash-reactive dogs (one of mine is both of these and more!) and am comfortable and confident with all sizes, breeds, and ages. There's nothing better than plugging into a good podcast and taking a nice, long walk with a furry friend. I have experience with all types of dogs, especially bully breed dogs (pit bulls, boxers, etc) and everything from high anxiety dogs to puppies to elder care dogs. I can administer oral medication, and have given humans shots before so with some owner coaching, would definitely be comfortable administering injected medication if needed. I'm currently working part time, so I have lots of time to take your pup on a walk during the day or hang with them while you’re out of town. I live in Burlington, VT, but I'm willing to travel. I am happy to come to your home where your dog is already comfortable and familiar. Having two dogs who have utilized Rover for this reason, I believe it is the best option for some high-anxiety dogs not to be put into an unfamiliar situation when their parents are gone. I am also available for drop in visits and/or neighborhood walks during the weekday! There’s nothing better than plugging in a podcast and taking a long walk with a pup!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment.
