I work 40 hours a week at a coffee shop in Waterbury, VT. If the stay is local, I can adjust my schedule as needed though there may be a day I need to be gone about 8 hours or so. If with in a ten minute radius, walks and check ins are available for stays or drop ins. I truly love going for long walks in the morning and afternoon. If you have a feline companion, we know it is all about their schedule and will be mindful of keeping the quirks and timing on track.

In addition to loving going for walks, I've been able to follow specific requests that are more personalized for the pet and the homeowner. Whether that be specific times for walks, cleaning up the litterbox multiple times a day, oral and injectable medications or unusual feeding routines, I've got you covered. I am there for your pet and take that seriously. If it is a day off work, that day is tailored to your pet. That looks like a beach day, hike it the woods, cuddles on the couch or going to the dog park. What ever will make their tail wag. I am also very communicative regarding either the schedule, what we are up to and letting you know about your pets well being. Lots of pictures, communicating the daily activities and peace of mind while away.

I typical stay close to the home I am pet sitting in but enjoy taking dogs to the beach or other hiking spots. Love to know how they do for car rides. Flight risk doggos are always leashed as I don't want any problems or fears from parents while away. I would also love to know your communication preferences. How often you would like check ins and of course photos of the dogs experience.
A typical day
Up when the dog prefers, bathroom break then breakfast, longer walk after breakfast. Depending on if I am working that day (for stays close to home) we will either part calmly for the time I am away (specialize in the calm departure) or we will get ready to enjoy the day based on the dogs preferences. Then a nice nap and then activities in the afternoon, again based on the activity level of the pet. I also enjoy a very calm quiet evening after dinner. We will take a walk depending on the pets preference before bedtime.

As a busy coffee shop manager, mother of 2 adult children , former medical care coordinator in mental health and companion of a 14 year old dog, I can promise you your pet and home will be in loving hands. I am comfortable with most ranges of pets and enjoy high energy pooches. I am adaptable and willing to learn what will make your companion thrive while you are away. I have taken care of multiple pets over the years including a dog that was blind and another who had medical complications. My own rescue dog struggles with thunder, loud noises and balloons 🤣. You can be assured your pet will be taken care of with love and patience. My pup will stay home with his older brother while I pet sit, so your animals receive my full attention. If booking for an overnight sit, I do work away from the home up to about 8 hours a day. If the home is 20 minutes from Waterbury, I am happy to pop in mid shift to do a potty break. Accommodations can also be made to have two days off scheduled for the sit. Sarah had the rare ability to communicate with both dogs and their humans. From the first minute she takes command of the situation with ease and friendliness that makes everyone feel this is a perfect match! I would highly recommend her for short and long stays. Our two labs go crazy when they hear her call their names. Best of the best!!
We have had a range of sitter experiences over the years from mediocre, good, to incredible and Sarah hands down is the best pet/house sitter we have truly ever had. Not only did she provide photos and detailed updates of the pets, she kept our house impeccably tidy to where it felt untouched coming home. From her daily updates it was very evident she treated our pets with love, genuine kindness, and was very engaged with their well being and activities while we were away. She was attentive to any changes in behavior our dog had due to fireworks and some anxiety which was incredibly reassuring knowing nothing was being shrugged off or looked over. Finding quality care can be hard to come by and Sarah sets the bar beyond measure. If you are able to book with Sarah consider yourself one of the lucky ones. Looking forward to future sits!!

If you need a pet sitter in Stowe, hire Sarah! She watched our King Charles Cavalier Spaniel for a night while we were on vacation, and she was fantastic. Sarah is so warm and friendly. She truly treated our pup like gold, making sure he got his walks and plenty of cuddle time while we were away. It made our night out completely stress-free knowing he was in such loving hands.
