“I went on a ski trip with my family and we needed somebody to look after our dog at the hotel while we skied. I am so happy we found Giuliana who is trustworthy and reliable. Plans ended up changing last minute but she was extremely flexible and understanding. In addition to this she was so sweet to Denali. We came back to a smiling pupper:)”

About: I am comfortable walking and/or caring for on any size dog. I’ve been a dog owner for most of my life, and am willing to take care of your pup in whatever way works best for you! I work from home so I have a very flexible schedule to accommodate your pet's needs. I work a 9-5 job from home, so I can accommodate almost any schedule that works best for your pet care needs, including midday walks or check ins. I live in an apartment and can watch small dogs in my home. I also have one dog at home, a 45-pound cattle dog mix, who gets along well with medium and small sized dogs. If you have a large or extra large dog I am happy to care for your pet in your home.
“Got stuck on a trip and wasn’t gonna make it home in time to let the dogs out and feed them. Chad was a super hero and was able to head over on very short notice! The dogs always love seeing him! Grateful to have someone kind and reliable to call who genuinely cares for my pups.”

“Wendy was a great sitter for our puppy while we were skiing in Stowe! She met us before the visit to meet our pup and then she came each day to check in on him at our house rental. We couldn’t be more pleased with how sweet and accommodating she was. Every day when we came home our pup seemed happy and we could tell she spent some great quality time with him. She also sent us pictures during each visit to keep us updated! I will definitely contact her the next time we are in Stowe :) thanks Wendy :)”

About: I tend to pet sit for family and friends. They request me personally due to loving animals and how I get along with their animals. I am out of work due to surgery. I can drop in anytime. Thought becoming a sitter during this time would be a good use of my time and get me out of the house. I always make sure the dog and/or cat is taking care of (Food, water, ect). I will stay to keep them company and give attention to them.
“Janice was so wonderful to work with. She is a very experienced pet sitter and she cares deeply about animals. She is an excellent communicator and stayed in touch with me and sent photos throughout our time away. She was really committed to making sure our dog was cared for and that we were able to have peace of mind while we were away. I really appreciate her care and am very glad we connected with her on Rover.”

“Sukhpran did a fabulous job caring for our diabetic cat while we were out of town for 5 days. She has excellent communication skills and is very reliable. She is caring and detail oriented and helps anxious pet owners as much as the pet! Before we left: Sukhpran came to meet our cat, who forms very quick decisions about new people; he took to her immediately and didn't blink when she gave him his injection. While we were away: She sent photos or a video during each visit. She didn't just feed and leave, she took time to play. She also took care of my plants. When we returned: Our cat was calm and happy, and my plants were healthy and huge! Mail and packages were neatly stacked, litter robot was given an extra empty, so we didn't have to when we returned. I highly recommend Sukhpran; she exceeded our expectations and truly allowed us to enjoy our vacation knowing Finnegan was in good hands.”

“Alma was very professional and took great care of my cat Eddie. He's on the anxious side and can be wary of new people, she was able to make him feel comfortable enough to approach for scratches.”

About: Hello! I'm excited to spend some time caring for your furry loved ones! I've had animals all my life, ranging from birds, frogs, and sugar gliders- to cats and dogs! I love animals of all shapes and sizes. Basically, if you need it done, I can do it. I’m incredibly observant and in tune with the needs of animals mentally and physically. I'm here on a mission to provide my pup Murphy with the backyard, and time off, that he deserves! We are a manners first, and positive reinforcement household. Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Stowe
Sarah was so communicative and asked questions to ensure our kitties were well cared for. She followed our instructions and left everything as we left it. She even was able to bond with one of our shy cats who never comes out for anyone, so that’s saying a lot!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
