“We couldn’t ask for a better experience with Chad. Our family stayed in Smugglers’ Notch/Stowe area and our resort (if you do timeshare, you understand) doesn’t allow pets. We still wanted our dog close and finding Chad is awesome. He took the time to discuss ahead of boarding all necessary details about Pakun. He even asked for written notes and sent daily pictures and videos. We are kept updated especially with important details about our dog’s behavior. We could tell our Pakun was treated so well. Our English Springer’s hair was not tangled and he was clean when we picked him up. It is hard to believe since our dog has videos of walks, playing in the park and playdates with other dogs,he even did enrichment activities. Our dog is used to group boarding when we go on vacation, he usually comes back smelly and all tangled up. We are so pleased with our experience this time and we are so glad we brought him to have his own vacation with Chad.”

About: I tend to pet sit for family and friends. They request me personally due to loving animals and how I get along with their animals. I am out of work due to surgery. I can drop in anytime. Thought becoming a sitter during this time would be a good use of my time and get me out of the house. I always make sure the dog and/or cat is taking care of (Food, water, ect). He's happy when he arrives at her home, and during the day (as evidenced in photos that she texts). About: There has always been a dog in my life and it’s the absolute best! I am a big believer in positive reinforcement training. I’ve worked with a dog trainer for a few weeks (with my own dog Lucy) and have enjoyed reading about positive reinforcement training techniques. I always enjoy greeting other furry friends while we’re out on the trails or at the town off-leash area. I have experience with puppies and senior dogs and my current dog Lucy was, (and still sometimes is!), pretty high-energy. We get outside for some energy-burning activity at least 2x a day. We live right next to trails, a pond, and a river. I’ve mostly taken in friends’ dogs over the past couple of years but we’re used to having an extra dog come to stay and would be happy to welcome yours! I work from home and Lucy is with me all day. We exercise and/or have play breaks throughout the day. I have very few commitments outside the home. We are active and live right next to town & state forest with many trails. I run, hike, and mountain bike. We also have 2 ponds which is the best for water-loving dogs! I take Lucy out every couple of hours on our property (big meadow) or surrounding trails. She is mostly off-leash but can be on-leash if that works better with your dog. Lucy loves all dogs and is a great, energetic playmate. We have a crate if that's part of your dog's routine.
About: I have been an animal lover and owner for over 30 years. My 15 year old Lab is truly my best friend. He is used to other animals and very laid back. I provide lots of patience, affection and exercise for all animals. We go out 3-4 times per day for walks and potty breaks. Always active and attentive. Please let me know about anything your pet needs to feel safe and happy. The more information the better. I can handle separation anxiety and other behavioral issues but prefer to know ahead of time. Please make sure your pet is treated for fleas/ticks. If your baby has a history of indoor urination, please provide diapers/belly bands. Happy to accommodate all ages and stages. I am almost obsessively neat and always treat my customers’ homes with respect. My goal is to be as unobtrusive as possible. Scrupulous about keeping your home secure while you are away. I ask that you leave clear and detailed instructions to maintain a safe & secure home. Also, for long term services, I do not mind bringing in mail, putting trash/recycle bins out.
“Our 6 year old GSD, Flynn, has been with Chad since he was 4 months old. Up until a few months ago in a doggie day care, and now spending 2 days a week with him in a more 1:1 setting. Chad's calm, nurturing demeanor and unwavering patience and consistency with our often anxious and always energetic guy makes such a huge different for our family. Flynn's 2 days a week with Chad mean that he is a calmer, happier, less anxious dog at home. All of this being said, I think the biggest recommendation that we could give would be that whether it was at day care drop off or Chad pulling into our driveway for a visit, Flynn can never get to Chad fast enough. About: My schedule is flexible so I'm able to spend time throughout the day with your fur baby. I'm active and happy to play fetch for hours! I like to take dogs for multiple walks and give lots of love and pets. The clients I sit for like the fact they can contact me last minute and I'm generally able to adjust my schedule to be available. My schedule changes from week to week but feel free to contact me to double check my availability no matter the season! I like when clients leave me detailed instructions on what their pets normal schedules are, that way there's less stress put on myself and on your fur friend! I'm able to work from home most days of the week, this allows me to be available for all pet needs - morning, lunch time, and after work walks are a part of my daily schedule when we have a dog to take care of. About: I grew up with many animals, both my own pets, and animals on my grandfather's dairy farm (he was also a vet). I live in the country in Richmond, and have cats, young kids and animals Rover won't let me name in the description...but they provide eggs. We have dogs in our "extended family" and we are well accustomed to dogs but we do not have one ourselves at this time. If your dog is 100% safe with those people and pets and well-behaved, let's talk! Independently insured. We enjoy hosting dogs, and are home most days of the week for most of the day. We enjoy walking with dogs and playing fetch (if dogs like to do that) on our hill in our yard. We would need to do a meet & greet to make sure it is a good match. Our yard is not fenced, and we are on a dirt road in the country with woods on the property and surrounding it, so dogs should not be prone to bolting etc. They must be 100% safe with young kids, cats and free range egg producers. No aggressive or reactive dogs please.

During your pet's stay, we will go for many walks as well as hikes on any of the surrounding trails. We live very close to the Rail Trail, our pup loves going for walks and jogs there. We have a nice backyard for outdoor play, we, unfortunately, do not have a fenced-in yard. Weekends are completely free for me, that's when I get free time to do fun outdoor activities with my daughter and our pup. About: My experience taking care of dogs goes back to my childhood. When I was 8 we got a new puppy and from that moment on I have been obsessed. From taking care of newborn puppies and experiencing the birthing process to helping my senior dogs find comfort in their final days, I have seen it all. I have a run for my dog that he stays on when outside in the yard but he usually sticks with me so he’s not always attached. In the home are multiple dog beds and comfy places for the pups to rest after a long day. There is always access to water, inside and out. My dog is very easy going so we are willing to be adaptable on a pet to pet basis.

If your pet(s) gets dirty, I will bathe them as well as clean up any messes that occur. I also will keep your home sweet home neat and tidy so you never come home to a mess. I have grown up with pets and have always owned one or two.. okay, maybe 3 at a time. I make genuine connections with animals (wild ones, too) and would love to give them the opportunity to get outside all season long (even in the winter). “We couldn’t ask for a better experience with Chad. Our family stayed in Smugglers’ Notch/Stowe area and our resort (if you do timeshare, you understand) doesn’t allow pets. We still wanted our dog close and finding Chad is awesome. He took the time to discuss ahead of boarding all necessary details about Pakun. He even asked for written notes and sent daily pictures and videos. We are kept updated especially with important details about our dog’s behavior. We could tell our Pakun was treated so well. Our English Springer’s hair was not tangled and he was clean when we picked him up. It is hard to believe since our dog has videos of walks, playing in the park and playdates with other dogs,he even did enrichment activities. Our dog is used to group boarding when we go on vacation, he usually comes back smelly and all tangled up. We are so pleased with our experience this time and we are so glad we brought him to have his own vacation with Chad.”
