“We couldn’t ask for a better experience with Chad. Our family stayed in Smugglers’ Notch/Stowe area and our resort (if you do timeshare, you understand) doesn’t allow pets. We still wanted our dog close and finding Chad is awesome. He took the time to discuss ahead of boarding all necessary details about Pakun. He even asked for written notes and sent daily pictures and videos. We are kept updated especially with important details about our dog’s behavior. We could tell our Pakun was treated so well. Our English Springer’s hair was not tangled and he was clean when we picked him up. It is hard to believe since our dog has videos of walks, playing in the park and playdates with other dogs,he even did enrichment activities. Our dog is used to group boarding when we go on vacation, he usually comes back smelly and all tangled up. We are so pleased with our experience this time and we are so glad we brought him to have his own vacation with Chad.”

About: I will provide a on-the-ready daycare/check-in service. Check in's will include play time engagement, spending time with them if they have been alone, walks, administer medicine if need be, and overall quality check in. I can provide these services at a moments notice with being local to Burlington, and can also provide these services over an extended period of time to suite your schedule. Daily check in's can last anywhere from 30 mins to one hour, depending on your needs. I work full time but my schedule is flexible. I have watched and cared for multiple family friends cats and dogs since my teens, as well as now helping colleagues watch their pets while traveling out of town. My experience ranges from the simple check in's; walks, playtime, feeding - to administering shots, ear spray, tic and flea medicine, etc. I currently work a hybrid schedule Mon-Thurs in office and half-day Fridays from home, moving back to full-day Friday's from home come fall. Even when in office, my schedule is flexible and I am out of work by 4pm, and can step out quick if need be throughout the day, making sudden pop-in visits easy for me. And making scheduled visits even easier. I live on a quieter street and my apartment is set back from the road, giving peace of mind when out on walks or in the yard. Crating is always an option if you are more comfortable and familiar with that.

I was afraid of boarding as I've only had her 6 months and she came from a high kill shelter in TX. My fear was that she would regress in an overnight facility. She can go for a short day stay, but overnight would be stressful. Brooke was kind and understanding of her needs and issues. We did an overnight trial, and she kept me posted and sent me pictures with reports of how she was doing. Before we left: Sukhpran came to meet our cat, who forms very quick decisions about new people; he took to her immediately and didn't blink when she gave him his injection. While we were away: She sent photos or a video during each visit. She didn't just feed and leave, she took time to play. She also took care of my plants. When we returned: Our cat was calm and happy, and my plants were healthy and huge! Mail and packages were neatly stacked, litter robot was given an extra empty, so we didn't have to when we returned. About: I have had dogs in my life since I can remember, from family dogs to dog sitting for friends in high school, to now owning my own two little creatures. I am knowledgeable and comfortable with high-anxiety dogs and leash-reactive dogs (one of mine is both of these and more!) and am comfortable and confident with all sizes, breeds, and ages. There's nothing better than plugging into a good podcast and taking a nice, long walk with a furry friend. I have experience with all types of dogs, especially bully breed dogs (pit bulls, boxers, etc) and everything from high anxiety dogs to puppies to elder care dogs. I can administer oral medication, and have given humans shots before so with some owner coaching, would definitely be comfortable administering injected medication if needed. I'm currently working part time, so I have lots of time to take your pup on a walk during the day or hang with them while you’re out of town. I live in Burlington, VT, but I'm willing to travel. I am happy to come to your home where your dog is already comfortable and familiar. Having two dogs who have utilized Rover for this reason, I believe it is the best option for some high-anxiety dogs not to be put into an unfamiliar situation when their parents are gone. Flynn's 2 days a week with Chad mean that he is a calmer, happier, less anxious dog at home. All of this being said, I think the biggest recommendation that we could give would be that whether it was at day care drop off or Chad pulling into our driveway for a visit, Flynn can never get to Chad fast enough. For us- that says it all!”

About: There has always been a dog in my life and it’s the absolute best! I am a big believer in positive reinforcement training. I’ve worked with a dog trainer for a few weeks (with my own dog Lucy) and have enjoyed reading about positive reinforcement training techniques. I always enjoy greeting other furry friends while we’re out on the trails or at the town off-leash area. I have experience with puppies and senior dogs and my current dog Lucy was, (and still sometimes is!), pretty high-energy. We get outside for some energy-burning activity at least 2x a day. We live right next to trails, a pond, and a river. I’ve mostly taken in friends’ dogs over the past couple of years but we’re used to having an extra dog come to stay and would be happy to welcome yours! I work from home and Lucy is with me all day. We exercise and/or have play breaks throughout the day. I have very few commitments outside the home. We are active and live right next to town & state forest with many trails. I run, hike, and mountain bike. We also have 2 ponds which is the best for water-loving dogs! I take Lucy out every couple of hours on our property (big meadow) or surrounding trails. She is mostly off-leash but can be on-leash if that works better with your dog. Lucy loves all dogs and is a great, energetic playmate. We have a crate if that's part of your dog's routine.

“We tried in-home pet sitting for the first time with our German Shepherd, Timber, and it was fantastic. Eric was super easy to communicate with right from the beginning, always quick to respond. He met us and Timber beforehand, which put us completely at ease. It was obvious he’s a genuine dog lover, kind and really attentive. While we were gone for 6 days, he kept us updated with photos, videos, and messages letting us know Timber was happy and doing great. He followed all our instructions and took excellent care of him. We came home to a happy, well exercised, dog and couldn’t be happier. I’d highly recommend Eric and his family to anyone needing a trustworthy pet sitter.”

“This was our first time using Rover and my wife and I were a little uneasy about the service. However, as soon as we meet Alex and Pete, we knew they would take great care of our dog and they did. Our dog loved staying at Pete and Alex's place. Pete and Alex are very kind, caring, and loving dog sitters. They took wonderful care of our dog. Our dog also had a great time staying at their place and came home happy and tucker out from all the outdoors fun. We have a senior dog with a few health issues to pay attention to and Alex and Pete easily took care of our dogs needs. We fully recommend Pete and Alex and definitely ask them to watch our dog again. I think our dog had such a great time that he was a little disappointed to return to the city”

“I was desperate to find a place for Abby, a 3 year old Shepherd mix with high anxiety and separation issues. I needed to find overnight care so I could help my parents move here from Beverly, MA. I was afraid of boarding as I've only had her 6 months and she came from a high kill shelter in TX. My fear was that she would regress in an overnight facility. She can go for a short day stay, but overnight would be stressful. Brooke was kind and understanding of her needs and issues. We did an overnight trial, and she kept me posted and sent me pictures with reports of how she was doing. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Brooke to anyone- she went above and beyond and I will definitely be booking Abby for the time I need in the future!”
