“We couldn’t ask for a better experience with Chad. Our family stayed in Smugglers’ Notch/Stowe area and our resort (if you do timeshare, you understand) doesn’t allow pets. We still wanted our dog close and finding Chad is awesome. He took the time to discuss ahead of boarding all necessary details about Pakun. He even asked for written notes and sent daily pictures and videos. We are kept updated especially with important details about our dog’s behavior. We could tell our Pakun was treated so well. Our English Springer’s hair was not tangled and he was clean when we picked him up. It is hard to believe since our dog has videos of walks, playing in the park and playdates with other dogs,he even did enrichment activities. Our dog is used to group boarding when we go on vacation, he usually comes back smelly and all tangled up. We are so pleased with our experience this time and we are so glad we brought him to have his own vacation with Chad.”

About: I have been around cats since I was a young child. My mom had cats and they were kept very neat and clean. At one point my mom had 32 cats. Nobody would have guessed it by coming in the house. When I was grown and moved out I continued to have cats. I have had all types of cats. They range from big to small, males and females, friendly and not so friendly. Currently we have 3 tuxedo cats that are all very friendly with their very own personalities. I enjoy cats because they have their own personalities and yet they are very independent. They have strong souls. A cat has a way of being very mysterious. Their purr is their way of letting you know how happy and content they are. It truly is very soothing to listen too, at least for me. They are individuals with their own likes and dislikes and I don't know if I've met two cats that are the same. I also understand that cats may also have special needs and require special care whether they are young or old and that can be anything from food, to medicine, to handling. I have experienced it all in my many years of cat care.

“Our 6 year old GSD, Flynn, has been with Chad since he was 4 months old. Up until a few months ago in a doggie day care, and now spending 2 days a week with him in a more 1:1 setting. Chad's calm, nurturing demeanor and unwavering patience and consistency with our often anxious and always energetic guy makes such a huge different for our family. Flynn's 2 days a week with Chad mean that he is a calmer, happier, less anxious dog at home. All of this being said, I think the biggest recommendation that we could give would be that whether it was at day care drop off or Chad pulling into our driveway for a visit, Flynn can never get to Chad fast enough. About: I've been an animal lover and taken care of pets my whole life! Growing up, we had the sweetest yellow lab named Pete. Now, my partner and I adopt old pets and care for them during their retirement. I love animals and will care for your pets as if they were my own. ****** PLEASE NOTE ****** that we have two dogs (an elderly deaf pug named Alice, and a senior terrier mix named Edie) and one cat. Our pets are friendly towards other dogs, cats, and people who come to visit/ stay with us. Please let me know if you have any concerns about your pet staying with our pets, or if they don't have experience with cats. We can discuss and ensure it'll be a good mutual fit. I am an educator at the local elementary school, and offer pet care services to neighbors and visitors to the area. My availability is generally flexible on the weekends, and can extend into the week on a case-by-case basis. I generally offer 3-4 walks per day, including one longer adventure to mountain trails, or another nearby, dog friendly destination. I'm happy to bring your pup to any of their favorite spots (within reason). Of course, it goes without saying that pets are allowed on the furniture and more than welcome to snuggle in bed at night, also open to crating or any special care required.

About: My schedule is flexible so I'm able to spend time throughout the day with your fur baby. I'm active and happy to play fetch for hours! I like to take puppers for multiple walks and give lots of love and pets. The clients I sit for like the fact they can contact me last minute and I'm generally able to adjust my schedule to be available. I like when clients leave me detailed instructions on what their pets normal schedules are, that way there's less stress put on myself and on your fur friend! About: I grew up with many animals, both my own pets, and animals on my grandfather's dairy farm (he was also a vet). I live in the country in Richmond, and have cats, young kids and animals Rover won't let me name in the description...but they provide eggs. We have dogs in our "extended family" and we are well accustomed to dogs but we do not have one ourselves at this time. If your dog is 100% safe with those people and pets and well-behaved, let's talk! Independently insured. We enjoy hosting dogs, and are home most days of the week for most of the day. We enjoy walking with dogs and playing fetch (if dogs like to do that) on our hill in our yard. We would need to do a meet & greet to make sure it is a good match. Our yard is not fenced, and we are on a dirt road in the country with woods on the property and surrounding it, so dogs should not be prone to bolting etc. They must be 100% safe with young kids, cats and free range egg producers. No aggressive or reactive dogs please.

About: I have been fortunate enough to have grown up with dogs and then continue to own dogs for my entire life. While growing up we owned big dogs, little dogs, smart dogs, goofy dogs and everything in between. When I had a farm and family I continued the tradition of having all types, sizes and temperaments of dogs. I have been solely responsible for training, care and loving all these pups. To say I have learned a lot the old fashioned way would be an understatement. Currently,,I own six Australian Shepherds. I started a very small but very responsible breeding program in 2020. I would have one litter a year by different moms. After a lot of research and talking to different rescues I learned how this particular breed is very misunderstood and end up abandoned or turned over to shelters. I then immediately came to the conclusion I did not want to add to this situation but wanted to be part of the solution. I then turned my sights to rescuing. This has become my passion and I am still helping out Australian Shepherds Furever rescue 3 years later. I have raised pups for them and took the mothers as well. I have personally interviewed and filtered through possible adopters for the pups and the mothers when they were ready. I trained all of our puppies and continue the training processes with the fosters. I have also done some competing with my Aussies and have gained achievement rewards with them. I have a love and passion for all animals and respect each animal individually. Each one is different and learn, trust and love differently. It's this understanding that separates me from other individuals. I currently have 6 Aussies, three cats and all kinds of farm animals. My focus is mostly with the cats and dogs. I do work a full time job but when I'm at home I'm rotating dogs so each one can get the love, attention, stimulation and focus that they deserve. I am always working on training, repetition, and a schedule so days and nights run smoothly in the home. Every dog and cat gets the time and love that they deserve and seek. I'm looking to fill weekends currently and if it's close by I could pull off a week here and there to spend time with other's pets. During these times my other half is home and can show them the attention they need. We won't tell my other half but they enjoy mom time better... Wink wink While in a clients home and taking care of the clients fur babies I will keep the same schedule and routine that those fur babies are already use to. Additionally, if they need to be medicated I will follow those guidelines as well as any outdoor or exercise guidelines. The last thing that I want to do is upset those fur babies anymore than they may already be because mom and dad are gone. My goal is for those fur babies to become part of my large family of fur babies and except me as one of their own. About: My experience taking care of dogs goes back to my childhood. When I was 8 we got a new puppy and from that moment on I have been obsessed. From taking care of newborn puppies and experiencing the birthing process to helping my senior dogs find comfort in their final days, I have seen it all. I have a run for my dog that he stays on when outside in the yard but he usually sticks with me so he’s not always attached. In the home are multiple dog beds and comfy places for the pups to rest after a long day. There is always access to water, inside and out. About: I’ve spent a lot of time doing long term dogsitting as well as drop in feeding/walks. I have experience with puppies, seniors, and everything in between! I’ll be your dog’s new best friend! I work part time Sunday - Tuesday so I am usually available for sitting or drop in visits Wednesday - Friday, as my schedule allows. For overnight and day care for dogs I am available to travel to your home to sit for your pets. For walks I can travel to your home and walk them around your area, or I can pick your pup up and bring them on a hike or trail walk!
About: I love dogs! I grew up with a little black poodle named Cherry who is 18 years old now and is featured here! I have been a dog walker for my neighbors whenever they needed in the past. Very comfortable with dogs of all sizes. I am a full time physical therapist/strength train consistently, so very comfortable handling bigger girls and boys. Please contact me if your dog needs a walk or you need to leave your furry friend with me while you go on vacation! I often start late or end early so can be quite flexible depending on your needs. Happy to be prioritize your furry friend as able! I am very respectful of your particular needs/requests. Everyone is a little different. Happy to dog sit and eventually be able to have dogs come stay with me as my landlord allows. Mainly hoping to help with dog walking. I am very mindful of surroundings and ensure we are safe/properly leashed up before heading outside.
About: My schedule is flexible so I'm able to spend time throughout the day with your fur baby. I'm active and happy to play fetch for hours! I like to take puppers for multiple walks and give lots of love and pets. The clients I sit for like the fact they can contact me last minute and I'm generally able to adjust my schedule to be available. My schedule changes from week to week but feel free to contact me to double check my availability no matter the season! I like when clients leave me detailed instructions on what their pets normal schedules are, that way there's less stress put on myself and on your fur friend! I'm able to work from home most days of the week, this allows me to be available for all pet needs - morning, lunch time, and after work walks are a part of my daily schedule when we have a dog to take care of. Lots of mental stimulation and training exercises throughout the day to keep them out of trouble helps too! I have a 9 year old cat in the house that tends to keep to herself in the bedroom when there's a dog around. Our home is on 5 acres of land with a big yard to do lots of sniffing around. I'm also located right on the rail trail for longer walks and adventures!

“We couldn’t ask for a better experience with Chad. Our family stayed in Smugglers’ Notch/Stowe area and our resort (if you do timeshare, you understand) doesn’t allow pets. We still wanted our dog close and finding Chad is awesome. He took the time to discuss ahead of boarding all necessary details about Pakun. He even asked for written notes and sent daily pictures and videos. We are kept updated especially with important details about our dog’s behavior. We could tell our Pakun was treated so well. Our English Springer’s hair was not tangled and he was clean when we picked him up. It is hard to believe since our dog has videos of walks, playing in the park and playdates with other dogs,he even did enrichment activities. Our dog is used to group boarding when we go on vacation, he usually comes back smelly and all tangled up. We are so pleased with our experience this time and we are so glad we brought him to have his own vacation with Chad.”

About: Hello! My name is Steph and I have been living in Vermont for about 10 years now. I am a young professional who loves animals end enjoy helping others in caring for their pups! I own a mini Australian Shepherd named Oakley who is 6 years old. He joins me on most of my adventures that include running, biking hiking, paddleboarding, snowboarding, and overall just be outside. Spending time in the area I know great spots for pet adventures. I have been dog walking for 8+ years with dogs of all ages & sizes. I am capable of continuing training plans, giving medications, and any other pet needs. Please don't hesitate if you have any questions. I currently live in a town house that has multiple floors & an open floor plan. “Our 6-month old puppy has had 2 stays with Piper so far. She is amazing. Our dog is fearful of strangers and needs to warm up at his own pace (which can be extremely slow at times). Piper just knew how to handle him from the get go and went out of her way to make him feel comfortable. She even discovered things that our little guy likes that we did not know. Prior to his first stay, Piper spent quite a bit of time on the phone to get as much information as possible about Milo. She even made recommendations to make him feel comfortable. While he was anxious at drop off time, he was a happy little guy after his first experience there. At the second stay a week later, I left Piper's house with him licking from her hand and not really caring that I was leaving (a huge accomplishment given his fear level). And when I picked him up, he did not even come to the door - I guess he had forgotten about me and was happily chewing on a bone, all comfy on the rug. Piper is family no. 2 to our dog!”
