“We couldn’t ask for a better experience with Chad. Our family stayed in Smugglers’ Notch/Stowe area and our resort (if you do timeshare, you understand) doesn’t allow pets. We still wanted our dog close and finding Chad is awesome. He took the time to discuss ahead of boarding all necessary details about Pakun. He even asked for written notes and sent daily pictures and videos. We are kept updated especially with important details about our dog’s behavior. We could tell our Pakun was treated so well. Our English Springer’s hair was not tangled and he was clean when we picked him up. It is hard to believe since our dog has videos of walks, playing in the park and playdates with other dogs,he even did enrichment activities. Our dog is used to group boarding when we go on vacation, he usually comes back smelly and all tangled up. We are so pleased with our experience this time and we are so glad we brought him to have his own vacation with Chad.”

“Simply put, Julian and his wife are amazing. I came in with great expectations and he met them and then some. They took care of my two puppies over the weekend and I think my puppies actually like them more than us now. We met up with Julian prior to the reservation to check out his place. His place is super neat and organized. Hardwood floors are a plus because they look good and my dogs prefer it since it's what they're on at home. The main room was spacious, properly kept at a good temperature, and smelled of nice things. It would be a great place to be tranquil and do yoga or something. As for Julian and his wife, they are genuinely good people from what I am able to tell. Not once did we feel weirded out or anxious that we were leaving our pups in bad, inexperienced hands. They kept constant communication, took photos from a real camera, and updated me accordingly. I will admit, I don't even want to write this review as I am afraid he will be too popular and not have time to watch our dogs again!”

“Giuliana was so incredible! We last minute needed someone to drop in to see our very needy and social cat while we went to visit our families 8 hours away over Thanksgiving. Giuliana responded so quickly and not only was accommodating over the last minute holiday planning, but also drove to us about 40 minutes away to pick up the apartment keys and meet our cat. She also took such good care of him, sending me pictures and videos each day, and spending more time with him than we had asked - which was such a kind thing to do and made us feel so happy knowing he wasn’t alone for so long. Literally the best and we will definitely use her in the future!!”

About: I tend to pet sit for family and friends. They request me personally due to loving animals and how I get along with their animals. I am out of work due to surgery. I can drop in anytime. Thought becoming a sitter during this time would be a good use of my time and get me out of the house. I always make sure the dog and/or cat is taking care of (Food, water, ect). About: Fueled by a genuine and passionate love for animals, I was a small-animal veterinary technician for 9 years. This led me to earning a pre-veterinary science degree from the University of Vermont followed by a job working at Cornell University Veterinary Specialists' small animal hospital. About: I have been an animal lover and owner for over 30 years. My 15 year old Lab is truly my best friend. He is used to other animals and very laid back. I provide lots of patience, affection and exercise for all animals. We go out 3-4 times per day for walks and potty breaks. Always active and attentive. Please let me know about anything your pet needs to feel safe and happy. The more information the better. I can handle separation anxiety and other behavioral issues but prefer to know ahead of time. Please make sure your pet is treated for fleas/ticks. If your baby has a history of indoor urination, please provide diapers/belly bands. Happy to accommodate all ages and stages. I truly enjoy the company of animals and also like to walk often. Being in the park and exercising helps lift my spirits. My dog has improved my life in many ways and he makes me a better human. Pets are given a cool, calm and comfy environment. Plenty of walks and free access to filtered water. (Treats also, if owners request/permit). I am almost obsessively neat and always treat my customers’ homes with respect. My goal is to be as unobtrusive as possible. Scrupulous about keeping your home secure while you are away. I ask that you leave clear and detailed instructions to maintain a safe & secure home. Also, for long term services, I do not mind bringing in mail, putting trash/recycle bins out.
About: Even though this is my first year being a sitter, I’ve had pets in my whole life so I know how to have really good pet care and I also love animals over humans so I have a lot of experience with taking care of animals no matter what. Also, I am majoring in a degree to where I could graduate to go take care of animals in the future! About: There has always been a dog in my life and it’s the absolute best! I am a big believer in positive reinforcement training. I’ve worked with a dog trainer for a few weeks (with my own dog Lucy) and have enjoyed reading about positive reinforcement training techniques. I always enjoy greeting other furry friends while we’re out on the trails or at the town off-leash area. I have experience with puppies and senior dogs and my current dog Lucy was, (and still sometimes is!), pretty high-energy. We get outside for some energy-burning activity at least 2x a day. We live right next to trails, a pond, and a river. I’ve mostly taken in friends’ dogs over the past couple of years but we’re used to having an extra dog come to stay and would be happy to welcome yours! I work from home and Lucy is with me all day. We exercise and/or have play breaks throughout the day. I have very few commitments outside the home. We are active and live right next to town & state forest with many trails. I run, hike, and mountain bike. We also have 2 ponds which is the best for water-loving dogs! I take Lucy out every couple of hours on our property (big meadow) or surrounding trails. She is mostly off-leash but can be on-leash if that works better with your dog. Lucy loves all dogs and is a great, energetic playmate. We have a crate if that's part of your dog's routine.

About: My schedule is flexible so I'm able to spend time throughout the day with your fur baby. I'm active and happy to play fetch for hours! I like to take dogs for multiple walks and give lots of love and pets. The clients I sit for like the fact they can contact me last minute and I'm generally able to adjust my schedule to be available. My schedule changes from week to week but feel free to contact me to double check my availability no matter the season! I like when clients leave me detailed instructions on what their pets normal schedules are, that way there's less stress put on myself and on your fur friend! I'm able to work from home most days of the week, this allows me to be available for all pet needs - morning, lunch time, and after work walks are a part of my daily schedule when we have a dog to take care of. Now, my partner and I adopt old pets and care for them during their retirement. I love animals and will care for your pets as if they were my own. ****** PLEASE NOTE ****** that we have two dogs (an elderly deaf pug named Alice, and a senior terrier mix named Edie) and one cat. Our pets are friendly towards other dogs, cats, and people who come to visit/ stay with us. Please let me know if you have any concerns about your pet staying with our pets, or if they don't have experience with cats. We can discuss and ensure it'll be a good mutual fit. I am an educator at the local elementary school, and offer pet care services to neighbors and visitors to the area. My availability is generally flexible on the weekends, and can extend into the week on a case-by-case basis. I generally offer 3-4 walks per day, including one longer adventure to mountain trails, or another nearby, dog friendly destination. I'm happy to bring your pup to any of their favorite spots (within reason). Of course, it goes without saying that pets are allowed on the furniture and more than welcome to snuggle in bed at night, also open to crating or any special care required.
About: I grew up with many animals, both my own pets, and animals on my grandfather's dairy farm (he was also a vet). I live in the country in Richmond, and have cats, young kids and animals Rover won't let me name in the description...but they provide eggs. We have dogs in our "extended family" and we are well accustomed to dogs but we do not have one ourselves at this time. If your dog is 100% safe with those people and pets and well-behaved, let's talk! Independently insured. We enjoy hosting dogs, and are home most days of the week for most of the day. We enjoy walking with dogs and playing fetch (if dogs like to do that) on our hill in our yard. We would need to do a meet & greet to make sure it is a good match. Our yard is not fenced, and we are on a dirt road in the country with woods on the property and surrounding it, so dogs should not be prone to bolting etc. They must be 100% safe with young kids, cats and free range egg producers. I'm very kind and conscientious, and I am great about texting and can send you updates or photos to ease your mind. I treat other people's dogs as I'd want someone to treat my own... with lots of love, pets, treats (if that's OK) and respect. I work for myself from home (consulting) so I have a lot of flexibility and control of my schedule. I only take on sitting gigs when I can give the proper attention. My previous dog was a magician and could get into stuff pretty much anywhere, including maybe even on top of the fridge. So we are well versed in creating a pet-safe environment and do not leave anything to chance.

About: My experience taking care of dogs goes back to my childhood. When I was 8 we got a new puppy and from that moment on I have been obsessed. From taking care of newborn puppies and experiencing the birthing process to helping my senior dogs find comfort in their final days, I have seen it all. I learned a lot of what I know from firsthand experience but also from reading many books of dog behavior and from being taught training techniques from a close family friend and dog trainer. I am currently a student at University and my schedule takes me away from the home for 6 hours a day 5 days a week. I am always providing enrichment activities for my dog while I am away from the house and we go on a long walk when I return. I have a big yard that is partially wooded for the dogs to play around in, whether your dog is good off leash or not. I have a run for my dog that he stays on when outside in the yard but he usually sticks with me so he’s not always attached. In the home are multiple dog beds and comfy places for the pups to rest after a long day. There is always access to water, inside and out. My dog is very easy going so we are willing to be adaptable on a pet to pet basis.

“Amber was an amazing sitter. This was my first time leaving my dog Charlie with someone outside of family. Amber communicated with texts and pictures of Charlie totally enjoying his stay. I will always feel comfortable now leaving Charlie and of course will always request Amber!!!”
“We couldn’t ask for a better experience with Chad. Our family stayed in Smugglers’ Notch/Stowe area and our resort (if you do timeshare, you understand) doesn’t allow pets. We still wanted our dog close and finding Chad is awesome. He took the time to discuss ahead of boarding all necessary details about Pakun. He even asked for written notes and sent daily pictures and videos. We are kept updated especially with important details about our dog’s behavior. We could tell our Pakun was treated so well. Our English Springer’s hair was not tangled and he was clean when we picked him up. It is hard to believe since our dog has videos of walks, playing in the park and playdates with other dogs,he even did enrichment activities. Our dog is used to group boarding when we go on vacation, he usually comes back smelly and all tangled up. We are so pleased with our experience this time and we are so glad we brought him to have his own vacation with Chad.”

“We felt very confident leaving Gribble with Christina and her family! He is a shy guy who takes a little while to settle in, but Christina assured us he'd always have someone to snuggle and make him feel comfortable. She sent pictures and was very communicative. We would definitely recommend Christina!”
“John was a fantastic sitter for our very energetic puppy. He provided us with updates multiple times a day and took great care of her. It was so nice to know our little pup was in great hands and had John’s own dogs to play with.”
“Peter was terrific! At drop off, he took time to understand our senior dog and her routines. He sent us a picture and update the next morning. She ate all her meals at Peter’s house (which she rarely does at home) so I know she was relaxed with him. At pick up, she made a point to go over and lean into him to say goodbye! Overall a great experience - thanks Peter!”

“Simply put, Julian and his wife are amazing. I came in with great expectations and he met them and then some. They took care of my two puppies over the weekend and I think my puppies actually like them more than us now. We met up with Julian prior to the reservation to check out his place. His place is super neat and organized. Hardwood floors are a plus because they look good and my dogs prefer it since it's what they're on at home. The main room was spacious, properly kept at a good temperature, and smelled of nice things. It would be a great place to be tranquil and do yoga or something. As for Julian and his wife, they are genuinely good people from what I am able to tell. Not once did we feel weirded out or anxious that we were leaving our pups in bad, inexperienced hands. They kept constant communication, took photos from a real camera, and updated me accordingly. I will admit, I don't even want to write this review as I am afraid he will be too popular and not have time to watch our dogs again!”

“JD and his family took excellent care of my two dogs, Dot and Tot. They were caring, meticulous about schedules, and communicative to me throughout the weekend. Their house is located next to a large park with a variety of hiking trails - an excellent location providing plenty of walking and exercise opportunities. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again when I come back up!”
