“Toni was great! She was very flexible with times, and my dog was very calm and relaxed when I returned home. She kept me updated on how things were going and is very nice!”

“Roxanne was amazing. She kept us posted the entire time we were away with bits of information and pictures. Though she specializes in senior dogs, she was absolutely wonderful with our dog and he loved spending time with her. We highly recommend Roxanne!!”

“Tonya was a reliable, calming presence for our pets. She took good care of our home and the pets. Our children are all seniors and are a bit challenging, but she did well interacting with them within the confines of their behaviors. I was glad to have someone who was able to be here with them most of each day, and who was not frantically trying to fit multiple clients in at once. I am grateful that Tonya was able to be a calm presence for them. She was very respectful of our home as well. I look forward to booking with her again.”

“Tera watched my dog and cat for a few days while on vacation. It gave me such peace of mind knowing they were in her care. She was very communicative and gave lots of love to my animals in my absence. Would recommend her to anyone! Will certainly be using her again in the future. Thanks tera!”

“Baylee is phenomenal with animals. We felt very comfortable leaving our 2 cats and dog in her care while we were away. We knew they were getting all the lovins and attention. She is just the best.”

“Trisha was a great dog and house sitter. Our two young dogs were happy to see us come home but it was clear that they had been well taken care of. They ate well, which shows that they weren't stressed about our absence. They had obviously had a lot of attention. I recommend Trish wholeheartedly for anyone else. Karen”

“Natalie did a fabulous job caring for our two big dogs while we were out of town. Her communication is awesome, she asks great questions, keeps us informed and updated on our boys, and left the house clean. We felt comfortable knowing she was there and will put her at the top of the list for rebooking the next time we travel. Our pups were happy and content. Thank you Natalie!”
“Kanaalaq did a great job with taking care of our three kitties and kept the house clean/nothing out of place. Responded to messages relatively quick when sitting and would send photos/updates on request.”

“Ali arrived on time and our dog Monty immediately took to her. She sent several pictures and followed our instructions flawlessly. Professional and courteous and we look forward to asking her again.”

“Nikki did a wonderful job taking care of our dogs, Reuben and Frank! She was great with them, kept us updated with excellent communication, and sent us pictures while we were away, which we really appreciated. We came home to happy dogs and a clean, tidy house. We would absolutely recommend Nikki and would gladly have her watch Reuben and Frank again!”

About: I've lived with animals all my life, and have looked after my family's pets occasionally. I am an all around animal lover, I'm professional and dependable, and I'm great at following directions. I have some trips planned for the coming future, so a few stretches of time will be unavailable. I will be very transparent and communicative with prospective clients about my schedule. Feel free to ask me for details! I will be respectful and conscientious when inside all clients' homes, and will do everything in my ability to keep your pet comfortable in their own routines and habits.

About: I’ve taken care of all types of dogs ranging from new born up to senior . I’m willing to walk , run or even just hang around and slowly get some outdoor activities in for an older dog. I’m currently unemployed and looking for side work to do and keep me busy in the meantime. I figured why not pet sit/walk since I have a lot of experience with them already .! I have a fenced yard and a friendly Chiweenie to keep your pet company if needed . I can pet sit / visit or kennel train if needed . If you have questions or certain ways you like your pet to be taken care of, don’t hesitate to bring it up .!
“Amazing pet sitter/house sitter experience. After working with Trish, I don’t know how we survived before. She’s great at managing pets and the house, but amazing at playing and engaging with the pets. We have a cat and dog, both very friendly and people-focused, so she had to juggle different play styles and competing bids for attentions. She also did sweet little extras that really made us feel at home coming back. The house was nicely straightened up. Best experience!!!”

About: Since the day I came home from the hospital dogs, cats, and pets have been in my life. From having a German shepherd as a big brother as a baby, to growing up with Rottweilers, cats, and a couple reptiles throughout my childhood, to Pitbulls and Staffies as an adult. I've grown up loving, taking care of, and training puppies and rescue dogs longer than I can remember. I'm comfortable with pretty much all animals! One of my favorite parts about owning "aggressive" or "bully" breed dogs is creating a strong bond&trust and working with their training. Not only is it rewarding to see their progress and be able to change some people's perception and show them even the "scary" dogs can be as much of a big gentle lover as any other. So big or small, your pets are in good hands! I currently work a full time 9-5 but I'm looking to add a job to the end of the day after I get off work Outdoor: -Walking or playing outside for exercise, bathroom breaks, or mental stimulation Indoor: -Play time, changing or cleaning pads or catboxes or trying to work with them as needed by the client

Area to walk the dogs is provided as well and can be easily accessed if needed. I have two dogs one friendly small dachshund named Howie and one large sweet black lab named Max! They’re easy friend makers and love meeting new doggies!
“Holly communicates quickly. She adores the kitties and helps us travel with a peace of mind. Thank you so much! We’ll definitely reach out to Holly again for our future trips!”

“Eva was amazing with our pup! She is especially respectful, responsible, and communicative not to mention very knowledgeable about animal behavior and communication. We are so thankful and loved having her in our space.”

“Jordan watched our fur babies in our home for 11 days. She did an amazing job. The babies were well taken care of as was our home. She returned the home to ready status by doing the bed laundry and leaving no trace. But, the most important was the care and love our wee ones received. I can tell they took to her and were comfortable and at peace while we were away. Knowing that brought great comfort. Thank you Jordan. We really appreciate you.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Stimson Crossing
Emily did a great job for us. She came through for us at the last minute when our previously booked sitter cancelled on us. Our need was for 16 days to stay at our home with our two dogs and one of them being completely blind that requires eye drops every 8 hours. Emily responded to my rover request immediately and from there came over To meet our dogs etc. Our blind dog is very fearful and Emily managed him beautifully. One of Emily’s best qualities is she is a great communicator. She is responsive to emails, requests, questions etc. She sent us photos throughout her stay giving us assurance that everything was okay. She is responsible, hardworking, responsive and respectful. She genuinely loves animals and shows that through her interactions. You will see on Emily’s profile she is young in years but I can attest that she follows through and very responsible and reliable. I highly recommend Emily for your needed pet care.
Eva was excellent! She housesat for us and our two kitties for a week and a half. The kitties loved her, she was super responsive, sent great updates, and left the house spotless. We would gladly hire Eva again anytime! Thanks, Eva, for all your care while we were away ☺️

We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Babba is not feeling well she gave him timely medication and took care of him as her own. Our pet felt safe, loved, and truly cared for, and that meant everything to us. The had constant updates, he came home as a happy pet. So grateful — highly recommend!

Alexis was amazing with our two large dogs! She checked in with us every day, sent pictures, and kept us completely at ease while we were away. It was clear the dogs were happy, well-cared for, and getting plenty of love and attention. We came home to a clean house and two very content pups. We’ll absolutely book Alexis again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful sitter!

Maral and Jeff did a great job with our dogs while we were away. Our Schipperke always goes on a hunger strike when we leave but it didn’t last as long as usual with them. They were experts with getting our Shiba Inu to take a bath. Lots of pictures and information. Would highly recommend using them.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Stimson Crossing on Rover is $103.13 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Stimson Crossing walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Stimson Crossing maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Stimson Crossing choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
