Natalie did a fabulous job caring for our two big dogs while we were out of town. Her communication is awesome, she asks great questions, keeps us informed and updated on our boys, and left the house clean. We felt comfortable knowing she was there and will put her at the top of the list for rebooking the next time we travel. Our pups were happy and content. Thank you Natalie!

I recently left my pup with Tera while I were away, and it was hands-down the best decision I could have made. From our first meet-and-greet, Tera was warm, professional, and clearly passionate about dogs—she asked thoughtful questions about routines, favorite toys, and any quirks right away. She sent daily photo and video updates (which included some hilarious playtime moments and cozy nap shots), so Inever had to wonder if our dog was happy and safe. Our pup came home relaxed, well-exercised, and clearly adored Tera’s! Tera followed every instruction to the letter, kept the house spotless, and even went the extra mile with cleaning up the house. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and genuinely loving toward animals, Tera is the one. Thank you, Tera!!! 💖💖🐩🐩

Do not hesitate to book her, pretty sure some of our pets really missed her after just 1 week! She even left us flowers when she left!

Trisha is a terrific dogsitter/house sitter. Our two small mini poodles were happy as clams when we got home, but they weren't needy which indicated that they received a lot of love and attention while we were gone. We received several messages and pics of our pups during the course of Trisha's stay. And, our house was spotless when we arrived. You couldn't ask for a better person to take care of your dogs and/or house.

Baylee was a wonderful sitter for our dog Zima! She has great communication and kept us updated while we were away, including sending us lots of pictures which made us feel so at ease! We’re kind of those crazy pet parents whose dog is our whole world and we could not have asked for a better person to watch Zima. Baylee even continued our routine of doing a doggy advent calendar with Zima each morning and sent pictures which were the highlight of each day!

About: Since the day I came home from the hospital dogs, cats, and pets have been in my life. From having a German shepherd as a big brother as a baby, to growing up with Rottweilers, cats, and a couple reptiles throughout my childhood, to Pitbulls and Staffies as an adult. I've grown up loving, taking care of, and training puppies and rescue dogs longer than I can remember. I'm comfortable with pretty much all animals! One of my favorite parts about owning "aggressive" or "bully" breed dogs is creating a strong bond&trust and working with their training. Not only is it rewarding to see their progress and be able to change some people's perception and show them even the "scary" dogs can be as much of a big gentle lover as any other. So big or small, your pets are in good hands! I currently work a full time 9-5 but I'm looking to add a job to the end of the day after I get off work Outdoor: -Walking or playing outside for exercise, bathroom breaks, or mental stimulation Indoor: -Play time, changing or cleaning pads or catboxes or trying to work with them as needed by the client

About: I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember! I’ve owned everything from dogs, cats, rodents, birds and insects over the years. I’ve been a volunteer at pet rescues over the years and have an extra-special fondness for pets in their golden years. I’ve done a lot of pet sitting over the years, which has included everything from walks, baths and play to administering medication and cleaning up accidents - there isn’t a lot that phases me. I treat each pet like I would my own, giving them the same love, care and attention they get from their family. I look forward to doing the same for yours 😊 I work from home during the week with a flexible schedule which allows me the opportunity to care for pets during the day - whether it’s for a walk, a check-in for a potty break, or even just for some cuddles and play. My goal is to keep your pet as comfortable as possible, which means I’m happy to follow whatever routine it is that you have set. Does Max need their food heated up to a specific temperature so they’ll eat it? Done. Does Gabby need to be crated? No problem. All pets are unique, so their needs can be too. I always go over routines and preferences with parents to make sure your pet is happy and comfortable. I know when I have entrusted my pet to someone else I love getting pictures, so you can rest assured if you do too I will send them as much as you want! You are also always welcome to ask for them anytime, no matter how often. As your pets wellbeing is my priority, I can ensure my focus is 100% on them when we’re together.

Bridgette is super thoughtful and caring in all things, not just taking care of our pet family (& any special needs they have), but the house always looks amazing too! She is truly a pro, and I couldn't recommend her more highly.

Emily did a great job for us. She came through for us at the last minute when our previously booked sitter cancelled on us. Our need was for 16 days to stay at our home with our two dogs and one of them being completely blind that requires eye drops every 8 hours. Emily responded to my rover request immediately and from there came over To meet our dogs etc. Our blind dog is very fearful and Emily managed him beautifully. One of Emily’s best qualities is she is a great communicator. She is responsive to emails, requests, questions etc. She sent us photos throughout her stay giving us assurance that everything was okay. She is responsible, hardworking, responsive and respectful. She genuinely loves animals and shows that through her interactions. You will see on Emily’s profile she is young in years but I can attest that she follows through and very responsible and reliable. I highly recommend Emily for your needed pet care.

FAQs for House Sitting - Stimson Crossing

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Stimson Crossing on Rover is $102.7 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 5,264 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Stimson Crossing. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Stimson Crossing walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Stimson Crossing maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Stimson Crossing choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Stimson Crossing. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
