About: I’ve taken care of pets ever since I was 8, when I ran my own pet service. I have experience with senior pets and with puppies, as well as more difficult temperaments. I’m a full time student, part time pet caregiver. I can take care of pets pretty much any time around my classes. I have always been a pet person, and am excited to pamper your pet. About: Ive had three cats and two dogs in my life. Currently I have two cats and they are my world. In many instances I've had a cat or dog that doesn't like anyone besides family come up and become my new best friend. Also have been trusted to watch multiple friends animals while on vacation because they loved our time together more than anyone else. During the week it would be a drop in sitting with minimal overnight stays after work. Which means its not out the question but not consistent. Weekends I have more flexibility for overnight stays. My cats are indoors, fed a heathly diet, and stimulated. While at the clients house its dependent on the type of animal and if the animal requires special care.

Weekend availability is pretty open. Hello, pet people! I took a 5-year hiatus from Rover due to some life changes, but I'm back to offering walks and drop-ins. If your work schedule and busy life are keeping you from giving your pup the exercise and attention they need, I'm here to help. Pets have always been a part of my life. Currently, our family has two birds and one dog: a 26-pound Mini Pinscher mix that keeps us on our toes. Professionally, I'm a freelance pet journalist, and I've covered everything from "enforced puppy naps" to "touch sensitivity" and beyond. While I'm certainly enthusiastic about meeting any dog or cat, I also understand some pets need a gentler approach. Every dog (and cat) is an individual, with their own unique preferences and personality. That's why I'll spend some time getting to know them at our first meet-and-greet. I do freelance work from home, so my schedule is very flexible. I can pop in for a check-in or "sniffari" walk when it works best for your pooch: mornings, afternoons, or early evenings. If you'd like to establish a weekly schedule, we can work that out, too! Safety on walks is my top priority. I'll make sure harnesses are properly fitted, leashes are secure, and water is available. I also check for hot pavement in warm months, snow salt in cold months, and slippery conditions in rainy, mucky weather. If your dog is reactive on leash, we can talk strategy (avoiding other dogs or triggers). And if your dog has a high prey drive like mine, I'll keep an eye out for rascally squirrels.

About: Besides caring for my childhood dog, Houston, since I was 11 years old, I formally became very involved in pet care during college. I joined an organization called 4 Paws for Ability that raises and trains service dogs for veterans and children with disabilities. I began as a sitter for the primary trainers on campus, watching their dog for a couple of hours during the day. Beginning my junior year, I began raising Red through 4 Paws, a 10 week old Golden-lab. I raised Red, while juggling class and work, until he was 1.5 years old and went off to advanced training. He now works as a facility dog at Dayton Children's Hospital. Since graduating, I remain involved with pet sitting for family and friends. I have sat my boss's daughter's cats (interesting, I know) and my aunt's puppy for a week. I love taking pictures of any and all animals, so expect photo updates often! I currently am a first year medical student here in Buffalo. Class is usually over by mid-day during most week days, making me very available for a walk or drop in visit. Furthermore, my weekends are pretty open for the time being, so I'd love to keep your pets company as a house sitter and have a relaxing (or active) weekend with them. I am very observant when it comes to things that are potentially harmful in reach of the pet. I will ensure your pet does not get into anything they shouldn't! Also, I have experience with ensuring dogs are safe in their kennel prior to leaving so your fur baby and home are safe.

One of my dogs needs to have his bladder expressed due to a spinal injury, Haley went out of her way to learn how to express his bladder and ensure his comfort. Haley gave the dogs ample outdoor time, shared photos and detailed report cards throughout the day which gave us peace of mind. You can tell when your dogs had their basic needs met vs. when they also had enrichment (play time, cuddles, etc.), my dogs clearly had enrichment with Haley taking care of them. The dogs were happy and content when we returned home, they hardly missed us! Cannot recommend Haley highly enough.”
