“Very accommodating and understanding with travel delays. Dogs looked healthy and happy. Best part was she provided a complementary dog wash for the boys . Definitely recommend.”

“We are so glad to have found Isabel! Both our dogs had a wonderful time with her family, her dogs, and other guests while we were out of town for a week. She kept us updated and sent many photos to our delight. We trust her and feel comfortable leaving our dogs with her. Highly recommend!”

“We have never left our pup anywhere except at our house and with sitters we knew. Using Rover was something new but I’m glad I did. Brittany was amazing with our pup who at times is very stubborn about what he wants and needs. I was very nervous to leave him but it was the best decision. He had a great time with Brittany and was definitely spoiled by having someone home all the time. He didn’t even want to get up from his afternoon nap to head home. I can definitely recommend Brittany and we will be using her again. She was also very responsive and sent me pictures and messages throughout the day to let me know how he was doing. 5 stars all the way!”

“Ross and Sarah were great! Aries and Bella enjoyed their time with them. They stayed in contact throughout the booking sending updates and and multiple photos and videos a day which helped me enjoy my vacation knowing they were being taken such great care of.”

“Evie and Fritz are truly the best dog sitters I have ever used! Our dog Harper is usually very uncomfortable around new people and does not tend to do well when we go on trips. I could tell very early on that she looked happy and relaxed with them after being there for only about a day. They made a clear effort to get to know Harper and make her as comfortable as possible and sent me so many photos and video to keep me updated on how she was doing. Highly highly highly recommend Evie and Fritz, we will definitely be a repeat customer!!!”

About: I’ve been a dog mom for over 20 years and lost my sweet rescued shepherd collie mix, Roxie, 12 years ago. Since then I’ve found comfort in caring for and loving other people’s dogs. Dogs are the best! I’m currently unemployed, so I have lots of time and attention to devote to your pets. I’m available most days of the week, nights and days. I have a small home where your dog will feel cozy and comfortable, with 126 acres of woodland, a dog park, and rail trail to walk and play on.
“Joaquin took care of our Great Dane, Zeus while we were away for 4 days. This was our first time ever doing something like this. Joaquin took great care of our boy while we were away and sent pictures and message updates daily. He was responsive and communicative. Joaquin made us feel at ease. We will definitely be booking his services again and would recommend him to anyone else in need of the services that he provides.”

“Anna was exactly what I was looking for. Someone kind who loves animals and took my Sophie in and treated her like family. I was given updates and pictures on how she was doing. This was the safest I have ever felt being away from my baby:)”

“Hayley was essential in taking care of Bronson with so much love and attention. I took an international trip and felt completely at ease knowing he was being well cared for. We will definitely come back again.”

“Abriana & her husband are absolutely amazing! This is the 2nd time I have booked them while we went on vacation & there is absolutely no one else I’d rather have keep my dog, Max! She sends plenty of pictures and updates, which always puts me at ease. Her and her husband are amazing with Max; he has a great time!”

“This was our dog’s second stay and we are so fortunate to have Ashley and her family. They make her feel right at home and it gives peace of mind while we are away. Our pup was sad to leave!”

“We felt very comfortable leaving Daisy with Morgann. She made it clear, in an easy way, how she would keep Daisy comfortable and loved while we were away. Daisy came home in an excellent mood, which is an improvement from a previous stay at a different location. We hope to use Morgann again.”

“Sharon was wonderful. Our gal Luna had a great time roaming around her property and playing with other dogs. Sharon sent lots of pictures and updates and even arranged a meet and greet before her first stay!”

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Staley home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Staley.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
