“Isabel was great to work with. She came in so clutch, after our original sitter got sick, and we needed to scramble to find someone in a day. It ended up being the best thing that could have happened - as Isabel did a wonderful job. She was fast to respond, and scheduled a meet and greet right away. She lives in a rural area, and has a fenced in backyard - which is ideal for dogs like Brady to roam free and have fun. She was also great about sending pictures and updates - without me having to ask, which I really appreciated. Brady seemed to have a wonderful time, and I'd highly recommend her.”

“Evil and Fritz were terrific! They were very understanding of our dog’s behavior and needs. They sent photos and messages regularly. Ziggy looked so well cared for and content with them. I’m so glad we found such good caregivers.”

“Excellent . My anxious dog calmed down with Alice and went to sleep near her. Alice also sent me the very best pictures. I wouldn’t hesitate to ask for her help again”

“Sharon was absolutely amazing! I was getting married nearby and she watched my pup which made the whole thing possible. Her property is perfect, she has a huge fenced in paddock that Shadow loved. She sent tons of photos and videos! I feel like Shadow was well taken care of and I'd definitely book again.”

“Cathy took on our quirky, energetic boy with optimism and open arms. She patiently took notes on all his behavioral quirks and was happy to accommodate his need for longer walks. This was our first time boarding him, and he seemed to thrive at Cathy’s and enjoy tons of snuggles and pets. It was so nice to feel so at ease about him while we were traveling and we highly recommend Cathy!!”

“Ruby had a great time at Vanessa’s! She was very well taken care of and had lots of new adventures. Vanessa made sure to send me regular updates with pictures, which I really appreciated.”

“Very satisfactory stay! Ross and Sarah cared for my big dog who had lots of separation anxiety, working with her and accommodating her fears. They were kind and understanding - and sent lots of photos to reassure me! I'll definitely use them again!”

“Lauren was an amazing sitter! From the get go she was able to get my normally nervous rescue feeling comfortable. And also made me feeling comfortable leaving for with a sitter after recently relocating to the greater Raleigh area. Lauren was extremely responsive, gave me a tour of her property (with a spacious and gated outdoor area) and shared daily photo and text updates. I’ll absolutely be recommending her to all dog owners, and feel so fortunate to have found a great boarding option for my pup!”

“Heather is truly a one-of-a-kind dog sitter. She cared for my dog Rulo with such genuine love and attention that I felt completely at ease while I was away. Not only did she keep me updated and make sure all his needs were met, but she went above and beyond—she even baked him a dog-friendly cake for his birthday! It’s clear that Heather treats the dogs she watches as if they were her own. Rulo came home happy, relaxed, and clearly adored his time with her. I couldn’t recommend Heather more highly to anyone looking for a caring, responsible, and thoughtful sitter. She’s the best!”

“I had to board my Zita very last second (not even minute) for a full day sitting (9.00-19.00) and Agus was extremely nice and flexible to accommodate my needs. He took really good care of Zita and she loved playing with Harry Potter (he is such a sweet boy!). I would definitely recommend him and board Zita again!”
“Emily and William took great care of my dog Archie for the first time. I could sense the instant love and care they had for my dog as soon as they met him and that meant a lot to me knowing he’d be in good hands while I was away. They were very communicative and kind. I will definitely be using their services again!”

“Rhett and Sadie stayed a weekend here for the second time and they loved it! Just like last time, we picked them up and could tell they were happy and relaxed and right at home! The sitters are great communicators and we highly recommend them to anyone!”

“Scott and Ellen have been amazing with Kaiser. They kept me updated eveyday with how Kaiser’s stay was going and sent pictures of them playing together and going for walks. They are the best!”

“I can not explain how happy I am with my sitter for Dante she was amazing and kept me informed with pics and updates on his days with her which gave me so much peace. I will be using her again for sure. Thanks again!”

Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
