About: Hi! I'm Tara. I'm a 44 year old dog/plant-lover originally from Pittsburgh. I live with a beautiful 10 year old 101lb. pup named Joe that I take care of everyday for the past 3 years. Maybe, you've seen us around! I have experience with dogs of all ages. I can follow an outline of your preferred routine for your loved one or create one, if you'd prefer. The dog is welcome to sleep with me on overnight stays, if you'd like. With me, your pet will be safe and well-cared for while you're away. Available for quick drop-ins, as well! I'm comfortable with giving Joe medicine, brushings, baths, nail-clippings, and tooth-brushings. I have great references from people that have left me in the care of their dog while away on vacation. Each dog was in my care for a week at my home and sent home happy. Prior to those sits, I lived with a roommate's dog for a couple of years. Currently I cannot host, but I am happy to come to you! We have a 10 year old 101lb Weimaraner/Pit mix named Joe Biden. He's patiently taken out several times throughout the day starting in the morning. He's fed 3 times per day with treats and snuggles in-between, of course. I WFH, so I'm with him all day. I'm more than happy to follow you and your pet's specific schedule. When pet-sitting, I take them out 4-5 times/day and try to give them a set of different routes to sniff in order to keep life exciting for them. However, a specific route will definitely be honored. I make sure that they are entertained and feel loved throughout the day.

She sent regular updates, and was patient in letting our senior dog warm up to her while she stayed in our home. She was flexible and able to stay on top of our dog's needy meds/food schedule, and we came back to a happy, healthy pup. Our primary concern was our dog's care, but it was a bonus that Heather was a clean and respectful houseguest. We'd love to book with her again in the future :)”

About: I have taken care of big dogs, especially older dogs, for a long time. I also have some experience with cats, birds, fish, etc. My availability is a little weird so DM me with the time you need! I'm currently a doctoral student so I have a couple of hard limits on my availability outside of which I am super flexible. Always good to DM me well in advance, I reply quickly! I think that pets will tell you what they want/need if you are patient enough to understand them. I try to figure out what they need and let them lead.

About: I have had 3 dogs of my own! An Australian Cattle Dog Mix, a Basenji mix, and a working line large breed German Shepherd, which I helped train in obedience to be an SD. My dogs always had scheduled potty breaks and playtime. My job is to make sure your pet has the best time while keeping boundaries/respecting their space, ensuring their safety, and following your expectations of care. I am comfortable with any amount of shedding and the size of your pet. I can especially ease my interaction with pets that are scared and anxious, as through training my own dog, I am better at picking up the dog’s body language and only engage in physical contact if the pet’s body language consents. If you have an aggressive pet, please notify me beforehand. I do not guarantee I will agree to care for them, but I am interested in scheduling a first meeting if possible. Note: I do not drink/smoke, so your loved one will never be affected by second-hand smoke or inappropriate behavior. I am very available on the weekends and by the afternoon on weekdays. If you need morning care, please reach out and I will see if I can accommodate! My pets are routinely groomed and freshened. Everytime they come inside after heavy play, I clean their body from head to toe with pet friendly wipes. I use a brush that helps with shedding and smoothing out hair. Their teeth gets brushed every 2 weeks. I check their ears for dirt routinely and the inside of their paws for any injuries or cracking from dryness.

She was receptive, considerate, kind, and communicative. I should mention that our baby is an English Bulldog. Kennedy understands the different needs of brachiocephalic breeds. And she was able to go that extra mile for us to properly care for our fur baby!”
