“Olivia was great. My cat was in very good hands. I had to book last minute for a family emergency and she was willing to work with me in a short period of time. She kept me updated and was great about paying loving attention to my pet. Next time I leave town, I will definitely try to book her again.”

“Ozzie was happy and relaxed when we got home. Mikey is a great communicator, sent videos of her interactions with him throughout the day. Will definitely rely on her in the future. I feel confident trusting her with our little guy.”

“Mellany did a fantastic job taking care of our “spoiled” cat, Nin. She was extremely conscientious regarding her feeding and schedule. Mellany exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend her based on our experience. We would not hesitate requesting her services in the future.”

About: My father taught me about life by giving me pets since I was able to walk. Animals are a gift and should be treated like they are family. I work full time, but I still have plenty of time to take care of your pets. Having a small farm myself, my kids, who are older, pitch in to give animals all the care and love they need! I have a fenced in property and enclosed kennels for exercise. I also enjoy taking them on walks and playing ball with them outside. Any specific requests will try to be honored…
About: My name is Megan and I have been taking care of animals most of my life. I work in the veterinary field as an assistant in rooms and surgery. I am able to handle any size dog or cat. I am able to medicate, walk, drop in, feed, or just hangout with your pet. I do work full time. I am available to drop in before work and drop in after work. I can also do walks after work. I work 4 days a week. On my days off I can drop in 2-3 times a day or go for walks! Taking care of pets in your home I will also focus on the home itself. I will stick to your pets schedule for walks, feeding, and potty breaks. If watching your pet while you are away I also make sure to maintain your home meaning vacuuming or cleaning up any day to day messes.
About: I have been taking care of animals my entire life since I grew up in a farm. Have taken care of all of our family pets, from bunnies to dogs. I have a big heart and just genuinely love all types of animals and love to take care of them. Currently only doing an internship and have plenty of time to take care of your pups! I absolutely love dogs and all types of animals. I work 7 hours daily and then I spend a lot of time just playing with my dog and just resting during the afternoon I would prefer to take care of the pet in my client's house, but this is open for discussion depending on the circumstances and the needs of the owners.

About: I have always had dogs since I was a kid and I love to take them out on hikes, walks, to the beach, and playing fetch in the yard! I have watched dogs for my family and friends and I love being with animals! I am currently not working or in school and have lots of time to hangout at home with the pets! I love being outside and going on walks or swims with the animals! I have a doggy door at my house with a nice fenced yard and plenty of toys for the animals! I am home all day and love to spend time with animals! I have two friendly dogs and a sweet cat! One is a golden retriever and she is very sweet with other dogs but mostly sleeps all day. The other one is a pointer and loves to play and run around! Our cat is usually sleeping or climbing around outside.
About: I've worked with many breeds of dogs. Mostly small to mid-size dogs with a variety of traits. Mostly working dogs namely Blue Heelers & Huskys. I tend to live an active lifestyle and that means hiking/walking/and lots of exercise. Rest assured both me and your pooch will be getting a good workout! In the past I've facilitated overnight lodging for dogs, and temporary stays of up to a few days. Be noted I do not currently have a large open or fenced in yard. I work with neighbors and friends pets on quite a regular basis! I regularly feed, train, walk & care for pets when away or on business! I work from home so this environment provides a perfect spot for pets to be nurtured & played with consistently! I always check prior to booking any special exercise and or dietary needs of your pet. Ensuring door remain locked when inside and timer's are set for when pets receive food upon client preference. Safety is of the upmost priority, so I will discuss a full plan and schedule so you know where you pup is and his progress while away. I will send regular check in photos to provide accountability for myself and the clients well being.
“Ashlyn took great care of my pups and my pups both really liked her. They almost seemed disappointed when I got home! I very much appreciated her regular communication and her reliability.”

About: Hello! We are looking to help people out in our free time with pet care. Please note we can only accept small dogs who are good with cats for day care/boarding at this time. Please let us know a few times you are available for a meet and greet before hand to ensure it is a good fit! We have two cats and one dog; and between the two of us have many years of experience with cats, puppies and senior dogs. Audrie also volunteers at the local pet shelter and has gained a but of knowledge in dog training. We will be on time, provide lots of photos while you are away, and be certain to follow your instructions exactly as written. We look forward to meeting you and your pets! Between the two of us, we are very flexible. Our only routine is walking our dog in the morning and evening, and feeding our animals twice per day. We have a fenced backyard, and let our pets go out when they want, but mostly they stay inside. We take our dog on two walks daily. We will follow whatever direction you have. Because of our cats, we can only accept small dogs into our home for boarding, but can go to your home as needed.
“Cailee did a great job taking care of my pup while I was out of town for work. She was even available for an additional day (at the last minute) due to flight delays on my part. Consider me a repeat customer.”

About: I discovered my love for animals when my mom rescued a Shiba Inu shortly after my dad died. Since then, I've made every effort to learn as much as I can about cats and dogs, including going to professional grooming school and I'm currently working on becoming a certified dog trainer. Most of my experience with cats has come from my sister and her roommate, but I love cats just as much as I love dogs I do have another part time job, but scheduling is flexible so I'll have plenty of time in the day to check on your buddy! I'm very conscious of their safety and always use a leash, always make sure fenced areas are secure, and that there's no toxic plants around them. My own have a history of bolting/running away, so these things have become 2nd nature for me.
“Raina is awesome! She communicates extremely well and is great about sending updates, pictures. She even did some watering for us as it was hot while we were away. Highly recommend!!!”

About: I’ve spent my entire life surrounded by animals, from dogs and cats to just about every creature you’d find on a ranch. That upbringing gave me a natural understanding of different personalities and needs, and a deep love for them all. I’m comfortable caring for pets who need extra attention, whether that’s administering medication, supporting a disability, or helping a shy or nervous animal feel safe. My gentle, quiet nature helps animals relax and settle in, so they can truly feel at home while you’re away. As a work-from-home freelancer, my schedule is wide open, giving me the flexibility to care for your pets whenever they need me, day or night. I have a big, fully fenced backyard, including an amazing dog run in case they need some alone time or need to be away from others. I also have an open home with plenty of room to take long naps in the sun.
“Kaylee was the absolute best. She was able to watch my two dogs on super late notice for the very next day, and she didn’t mind at all. She treated them like her own and it made me feel much better about having someone come into my home to watch them. I highly recommend her!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
