About: What sets me apart as a sitter is my hands-on experience with dogs who require extra patience, understanding, and care. I’ve worked with dogs dealing with behavioral issues—whether it's reactivity, anxiety, or fear-based behaviors—and I understand the importance of building trust and maintaining a calm, structured environment. I’m also experienced in senior dog care, including administering medications, helping with mobility challenges, and giving them the extra love and gentleness they deserve in their golden years. My goal is always to ensure pets feel safe, comfortable, and well-cared-for while their owners are away. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I have a flexible schedule, and my own dog, Harper! I'm currently in school and not working a traditional job, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets I care for. Whether it's daytime visits, overnight stays, or last-minute bookings, I’m able to accommodate a wide range of needs. I genuinely enjoy spending my time around animals, so integrating pet care into my daily life is something I look forward to, not something I have to fit in. My focus is on making sure each visit is safe, engaging, and tailored to the pet’s needs. During walks, I make sure dogs get the right level of exercise for their age, breed, and energy level, whether that’s a brisk walk or a more relaxed stroll with plenty of sniffing. I always prioritize leash safety and pay close attention to each dog’s comfort and behavior throughout the walk. For check-ins, I make sure pets are fed (if needed), have fresh water, get potty breaks, and receive lots of attention and playtime. I also take care to follow any specific instructions from the owner and always do a quick check around the home to ensure everything is as it should be. Communication is important to me, so I provide updates and photos after each visit to keep owners in the loop and at ease.

About: I have enjoyed housesitting and caring for animals. I started caring for the pets of my friends and family members. I am excited to meet your pets and get to know them! I have a pretty flexible schedule, especially in the evenings and on weekends. I am happy to adjust scheduling that best suit my client’s needs. I always aim to follow pet owner’s instructions and wishes. It is important to me to maintain my clients’ high standards for taking care of their pets.

“Melia was fantastic! There are so many positive things to say regarding the services she provided for my two cats. She was flexible when I had to add a few extra days. She arrived on time. She stayed the entire half hour I requested. She updated me with many photos. I could tell my cats were loving her company as she sent photos of her sitting with them. She was even considerate and kept a light on for my cats at night, and grabbed my mail for me. Melia is so thoughtful and reliable, and I will definitely book with her in the future!”

About: I have a few years experience looking after all kinds of dogs; from the elderly, to injured, to dogs needing specific diets or medication. I have also looked after cats and reptiles before! I teach special education kids during summer school this year, which goes from Tues-Thurs from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM every week. Because of this lighter work-load I'll be able to flexibly work with almost any pet-care schedule needed! I will care for and treat your pets as if they were my own; with all of the love and routine that they need. I will follow any and all instructions you need for your pet; including walk schedules, dietary and medicinal needs, and sleep times.

About: I love dogs. They are the best displays of optimism. My first dog was my soul dog, I heard him in a dumpster when he was 8-weeks-old. My second dog, Truman, is the happiest 55lbs you’ll ever meet. My house has been renovated to accommodate my dogs, not me lol. Dogs have access to outside through a dog door 24/7 or guide them to the backyard and wait for them to complete their business. Note: I watch multiple pups at a time, so please consider if your dog is friendly in groups. I require a meet and greet before committing-this is for the safety of all the pups and the sanity of their human(s). I’m home full time. I am currently taking a sabbatical from the corporate world so I can spend my days hanging with your pup and enjoying the great outdoors of Utah. I have a fenced in backyard that is synthetic lawn, so it reduces dirty paws. I keep blankets on the furniture to reduce the pet fluff. The vacuum cleaner runs once a day on the main floor. This is a pet friendly home that allows pups on furniture including on the bed (not in the bed) and food is kept off the counter for surfing prevention.

“Sydney is fantastic, she’s been working with us to make sure our dog has as little anxiety as possible about his parents leaving and being patient while we figure out his needs. Thank you! 🐾”

“Leila was an amazing fit for our working breed pup. I knew she was in great hands and was having fun during her drop in - Leila including multiple pictures and notes at the end of her drop in visit. If you have a dog who requires a bit more nuance than most, I’d trust Leila.”

About: I've had pets all my life and I lived on a farm for 18 years. I've taken care of cats, dogs, rodents, birds, fish, horses, cows, goats and pigs. I love any animal and will take care of yours as if it were mine. I am looking for a part time job to supplement my income but also because my daughter just left and took her Aussie with her. I have 3 cats and love them dearly but I miss having a dog. I don't want to own a dog myself so I have flexibility in travel but I would like to interact with dogs and other cats. Kind of seems like a perfect thing for me to do since I have the time and the experience.

About: I work from home, with my 5 year old pup as my assistant. We have a fenced in yard, and live in the Liberty Wells neighborhood which is great for walking! I love getting to care for doggos while their owners are away, making them feel comfortable and loved. I work from home and am available to board and day care during the week and weekends. My yard is open for the dogs anytime of day for play or potty breaks, with a good amount of shade. I typically walk the dogs 1-2 times a day, morning and evening. Kai loves Tanner Park, the Shoreline trail, and Millcreek Canyon. As I get to know your dog more, I’m happy to take them on adventures as it fits for them! Dogs are welcome on the couch, on and of the dog beds throughout the house, and to play in the yard. Working from home, they’re able to come in and out as they please. If I am gone in the evening, I ensure not to leave them home for more than 4 hours at a time, but please let me know if your dog needs a shorter timeframe, crating, etc.

“Hatchet was amazing! I needed a sitter last minute and they were able to stop in and take care of my crazy pup! I received updates and pics and knew my pup was in great hands! I would definitely recommend!”

“Angelina did a great job watching my cats while away, they are little high maintenance but she had no problem taking the extra steps to care for them.”

About: Hi there! As a pet lover in my thirties with over 20 years of pet care experience, I'm new to the Rover platform, but have a long history of pet sitting for friends, roommates and family. When caring for cats and dogs, I focus on maintaining their routine whenever possible, ensuring regular bathroom breaks and clean litter boxes, using positive reinforcement, and focusing on enrichment and exercise. While providing end-of-life care to my two senior cats, I became familiar with administering oral meds and inhalers, daily grooming, watching for changes in appetite or activity level, and managing special diets. I have experience with dogs (and cats) who prefer their own space, snap at other dogs to communicate their desire for space, and medium sized dogs who are still learning leash manners (my own dogs pull quite a bit - my trainer calls them sports cars!) I also have some basic experience with caring for reptiles, amphibians, rodents, and fish. I understand how stressful it can be to worry that your pets are being taken care of properly. **My rates are currently set pretty low because I'm new to the Rover platform, but my low rates don't reflect the quality of care I'll provide. :) I also offer low additional dog/cat prices for multi-per households. I work remotely from home full-time which allows me to offer some daytime drop-ins (depending on time and day), evening drop-ins and house-sitting on weekends. I never take more than one or two clients at a time, so visits will never be rushed. I will care for your cats and dogs like I would want mine cared for. I will always check water bowls at every visit, scoop litter daily, pick up any new outside poop, make sure that everyone is happy and healthy, and send you updates!

Becca M.Star Sitter
“Becca cared for my two basset hounds while I went out of the country, and they had the best time! Leaving my beloved companions in someone else's care has always been a bit nerve-wracking, but she quickly put all my worries to rest. When she first met them, she approached my dogs with warmth and enthusiasm, and created an instant connection. To this day, my dogs get really excited every time they see "Aunt Becca." She lovingly cared for them in her home, which has a fenced yard. I didn't have to worry about their safety, which allowed me to enjoy my trip. She was diligent about our feeding schedules and engaged in play and cuddle sessions. I received regular updates, complete with photos and anecdotes about my dogs' activities. It was evident that Becca was genuinely enjoying her time with my dogs. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone in need of a trustworthy and caring pet sitter.”
