“Sydney is BY FAR the best sitter on this platform, and I say that as a Rover sitter myself. I have used 3 different sitters before her, and they all gave me extreme anxiety and didn’t do even the most basic of tasks. Sydney, however, did everything we asked for and MORE, our cat is normally super shy and hides from strangers at first but he adored her right away!!! She left such detailed notes in all of her Rover cards after each visit so I knew exactly what they did together, and took some of the cutest pictures of my cat Rollo, so I could see how happy he was with her. He had a blast making a new friend. She didn’t hesitate to ask questions when she needed some clarity on something, instead of just guessing like some sitters do. Rollo loved her. We have gabapentin for anxiety because he will hide/not eat when we leave but she didn’t even need to give it to him! He was happy as a clam and very curious and did his normal things like watch the birds and play with ribbons. We were shocked to see how well he was doing! Sydney was made for this job for sure. We’ve gone on 4 trips total, and usually when we come home he is mad at us… But this time he was so happy, I think he was telling us thank you and he was so grateful to have made a new friend ❤️ You can tell Sydney truly cares for animals; this is not just a “side gig” that I’ve noticed a lot of sitters on Rover do just to make extra cash. This isn’t doordash. You’re taking care of peoples’ family members!! She she takes that very seriously. She LOVES this job, she is the BEST person for this job, and it definitely shows. She is so kind, she listens to your concerns and if you have very specific instructions she follows them to a T. I left TONS of notes and she did every single thing I asked of her. She would even call him by the different names we call him, use specific phrases we use, etc. She is a sweetheart and a very hard worker and we will be hiring her every time now!!!! Hands down, Sydney is the best. Hire her, before her clientele list gets too full, because she is blowing UP!!! As she should be!! Thanks again Sydney! We appreciate you SO much. ❤️”

About: Growing up, I’ve always had affinity towards animals. I loved watching the nature channel and all those nature documentaries narrated by David Attenborough (of course). However, more than that, I loved caring for and watching them myself. I’ve had a pet guinea pig, a chinchilla, fish (lots of them), salamanders, chameleons, chickens, and even a couple ant farms that I raised myself. My favorite of them all, however, was my childhood dog, Roxy. While I was very fortunate to care for all these beautiful animals, eventually most of them passed away, until only Roxy was left; And with myself moving away to a boarding school to play hockey, it wasn’t worth it to keep bringing home new pets. Then, in 2023, while at my boarding school, Roxy unfortunately passed to a rare form of cancer, before I could come home to see her. Since then, I haven’t been home long enough to bring any more pets into my home. But I still have that passion to care for and make animals happy, even if they’re someone else’s. And if there’s one thing that Roxy loved the most, it was a a nice walk or a game of fetch. I’m currently playing junior hockey, which takes up most of my weekends and weekday mornings. However, I’m usually available Sunday-Thursday in the afternoons. Some weeks might also require a couple days where I’m traveling for away games. However, I will actively update my schedule at least a week in advance, so that we can both plan accordingly! Unfortunately, I may not able to take any dogs into team housing. However, when your pet is under my care, I can guarantee as many games of fetch or tug of war that your dog wants and just as many treats (as long as it fits their dietary guidelines and with your permission of course!). I will always make sure your dog is hydrated and rested enough to give you a big hug when you return.

About: I have had pets since I was little and have always loved animals. I have even helped care for an old roommate's bird for 5 years! I work full time as a server, but the earliest I ever have to go in is 930a and the latest I've gotten out is 11p. However, with an influx of students coming to our restaurant, my schedule has mellowed quite a bit and we're not being scheduled on those brutal doubles as much! I love going out for hikes and to the lake. I'd be happy to bring your furry buddy with me on those adventures! I'm also happy to relax and keep your canine OR feline friend company at your house too if they are more interested in relaxing!

About: I have had dogs since I was a kid. I currently do not have a dog of my own so getting to spend time with friends dogs is a joy. My favorite time out hiking is always with my dogs. I am a retired teacher and have lots of free time to take care of your pets. I currently do not have any pets of my own so I can give your dog all of my attention. I only accept one booking at a time. I will stay at your home so that your pet will feel secure and comfortable.I love to hike so your pet will get plenty of exercise.

About: I had a dog for 11 years and my cat is 18 years old currently! I have had pets my entire life and am very comfortable being with and taking care of animals. I also grew up in Tahoe, so I know all the good areas for dog walking :) I am currently on summer vacation so I have plenty of time on weekdays and weekends to take care of pets, either cat or dog! I have a cat at home who is very shy and finicky, but she did live with my dog for over a decade. I have a fenced in backyard and access to a meadow with dog walking trails.

About: Dogs are better than humans and the more we aspire to be like them the better the world gets. I love dogs and have always been an active member of my local humane society and have volunteered with non profits in several 3rd world countries for animal welfare. I am active and move around often so have not been able to have my own fur baby yet so I would be so grateful and honoured to be the best ‘ fun aunt’ to yours. I enjoy time outside as much as a dog does so I’ll be able to return your pup well exercised and ready to relax after a good hike and some fresh air and belly rubs. I work in restaurants so am free every day until 3 and finish around 10pm. I would be able to take your dog out for regular runs or walks as well as house sitting in the safety and comfort of their own home. I live in a studio apartment with great access to trails and an unfenced yard. Dog sitting at my house would be totally possible for the right dog that would be comfortable with a smaller space.

About: I got my first dog for my 8th birthday and have loved and cared for many ever since! From chihuahuas to Dobermans, I’ve walked, fed, played, and trained so many sizes and kinds. I work for myself so my schedule is very flexible. I love being outside as much as I can, so always available for longer walks for those restless ones. I can easily adjust to any needs or wants your pet may need! Slow and steady walks with lots of sniffs or maybe a fast paced run and a dip in the river to get the energy out.. I can be flexible and do either!

About: I have many years of experience working with animals and having the responsibility of providing attention when their owners can't. I grew up on a dairy farm and have always had a love of caring for all kinds of animals. I understand that pets can feel distressed when their owners are away. I give my full attention to my clients animals. I understand it is uncomfortable for an animal used to routine to be on vacation with their family, but can’t participate in all activities with them. About: I have been caring for pets since I was 8 years old. From then to now I have done overnights, dog walks, and even potty breaks. Friends, family, and neighbors have relied on me to keep their pets company, take them on walks/get them outside, feed them on a consistent schedule, be available for potty breaks, stay over night, and bathe when needed. I love being a helping hand just as much as I love the furry companions! I just got back from a long trip away and I am not working. Allowing me full time to take care of and attend to your pets. I will follow any and all instructions given on how to care for your pets. For example, having them in leash when letting them into the backyard, putting them in the crate when needed, keeping food high out of reach, etc.

As a 29-year-old caregiver, I've recently returned to Rover with an expanded repertoire and a deeper understanding of pet care. My recent engagements include the attentive care of a 5-year-old Husky and a delightful Husky-Golden Retriever mix, and an 8-year-old German Shepard adding to my expertise in handling diverse breeds. While I currently don't have pets at my home, my upbringing surrounded by two beloved black Labs and ongoing care for my family's Black Lab and Bernese Mountain Dog have honed my understanding of canine behavior and needs. From pint-sized pups brimming with confidence to gentle giants convinced they're lap dogs, I cherish and cater to each dog's unique personality. I wholeheartedly recognize that these furry companions are cherished family members, and I prioritize their safety and well-being above all else. Rest assured, I am committed to providing the utmost care, ensuring a secure and attentive environment for your cherished furry loved ones. I currently am self-employed so my schedule is very flexible. I am looking for house sitting gigs and can also do drop ins or day gigs. I am a very cautious pet sitter as I meet and learn your pets behavior. I tend to be that "helicopter parent" when it comes to new pets until I learn their behavior. At the end of the day though my goal is to love the pet as much as possible and enjoy our time together.
