“Andrea was great with our boys!! She shared photos regularly and was communicative about her timing and any questions upon arrival. We would love to have her sit for the boys again!”

“Sarah was great! She took the time to meet with me ahead of time to review Lucy's special needs. She even did research ahead of time so she would be familiar with her disorder. She arrived on time and communicated quickly every time I reached out. Lucy seemed very happy upon my return. She helped keep the house in order and even watered my plants. She is extremely kind and caring. I have fully confidence in leaving Lucy in her care. I will definitely continue to request Sarah as I need assistance.”

“Grey is always great to work with and I’m grateful she’s so patient with my furbabies, especially with Zoey being a little standoffish. Very communicative with them also!”

About: I grew up with a lot of different pets. I had three cats and one dog in my adult life. They are no longer with me so I enjoy taking care of and boarding my friend’s animals when they are away. I really enjoy taking care of cats and dogs of all breeds and sizes. I own my own bookkeeping business and primarily work from home. I have a lot of flexibility with my schedule. I am looking forward to having a little company during my work day. I have a large second floor apartment and a fenced in yard. I live in the North End of Manchester so the neighborhood walks are nice and safe. I live close to Stark Park and Livingston Park for walking trails.
“We had a wonderful experience with Nikera! She stayed in our home while we were away and took great care of our pets and home. She kept us updated throughout the trip with messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. Our home was well cared for, and it was clear everyone received lots of attention and love. She also went above and beyond by staying late to accommodate our travel schedule, which we truly appreciated. Her flexibility and kindness made a stressful travel day much easier. She was communicative, reliable, and easy to work with from start to finish. We really appreciated knowing our pets and home were such good hands while we were away and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter.”

“Left last minute for a sea cruise, and Monica was available and ready to help watch Champ, so truly grateful for her dedication. Monica is a good sitter and loves being around animals very much. Very good with small senior dogs which was exactly what I was looking for! Got every other day check-ins with Champ with photos when the boat was island docked. Timing and coordination went well with pick ups and drops offs too. Champ came home, happy, healthy and refreshed! Monica is a very sweet, hard working sitter, Super chill, kind, grateful and cares with her whole heart. Definitely recommend and would use her services again. Thanks for watching My old boy, Champ!”
“Leonella was an excellent sitter. We received multiple pictures of the girls during our trip, she was responsive before and during her stay and was flexible when our plans changed. Would definitely hire her again!”

“Tony took such good care of our baby! He sent photos and updates. He was super communicative about their walks, feeding times, and made us feel like Reba was fully taken good care of! Thanks Tony!”

“Elly is amazing! She really helped out when I needed to book a sitter last minute for my puppy who had kennel cough and wasn't able to be boarded at the vet. Elly sends frequent updates and pictures which help put me at ease as I was on my vacation, knowing that my puppy was in great hands. You can tell that Elly genuinely loves and cares for dogs as if they were her own. I will certainly use her in the future!!! Thank you Elly.”

“She’s amazing. We love her, we were able to travel with peace of mind because she gave us a lot of confidence. We have 3 dogs and they loved her too. We will definitely hire her again.”

About: For all of my life I have had animals. They bring sheer happiness to my soul. We currently have 3 seniors - 14 yo cat since a kitten, an 11yo small dog adopted in 2025 and a 10 yo dog we rescued when he was 4 months old. I understand how important it is when going away to know your furry friends are in good hands, safe and cared for. Those things make the experience of being away so much more relaxing. That is what I am here for, to help you relax and not worry that your pets are being stressed. Getting to know the unspoken needs and nuances of animals in my care is a main priority. Each of them has their own personality which, when recognized, makes the time together positive experience for all involved. I do work a full-time mainly remote job that offers flexibility to support the needs of animals in my care. While in my care, I am attentive to their needs keeping them on any type of schedule for continuity of care. My yard is partially fenced allowing me to offer a tethered sense of freedom for your dog. Cuddles, love and walks are absolutely on the menu.

“Jenny took wonderful care of our dog Millie while staying at our house. She left the house super clean and Millie seemed very happy when we returned. We are booking her again and would definitely recommend her to anyone!”

“Amaiya was amazing! My dog Sasha loves her. She took her on multiple walks throughout her stay and gave her all the love I would normally give her. Amaiya is very communicative as well as shares a bunch of photos so you know your pet is taken care of. I am happy to know my dog is in great hands when I book. Amaiya!!”

“What a treat to work with Lindsay! She took my good boy on several adventures while I was gone, and both he and my apartment were clean and in great shape when I walked in. I got plenty of pictures to see all the fun they were having. Definitely recommend Lindsay for your dog sitting needs.”

“So glad I found Stephanie to watch my BFF, Piper. Stephanie was great with communication; pictures every day and texting. I was so worried that Piper would be reclusive when I left. Stephanie understood and took the time for Piper to warm up to her. Within a few days Piper was sharing her sweet snuggles. It is so liberating to find someone that can care for Piper when I need/want to travel. Next time I have to travel I will always check if Stephanie is available.”

“Veronica is very pleasant and friendly. She took great care of Marley, taking her for her walks and playing ball with her. She gave her all the attention and affection she needed. Marley loved her and when we came home she showed us her affection for her. We would be happy to have Veronica take care of Marley anytime in the future.”

“Sarah took great care of our pup for a long weekend. Our dog seemed happy and well taken care of. We got a lot of updates and pics and easy communication. Our apartment was cleaned up and everything was very tidy when we returned. We will absolutely have Sarah back in the future as needed”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - South Hooksett
Stephanie is GREAT! My dogs love her and she is so competant yet easy-going and flexible. She has great instincts with the pups and I can tell she returns their affection. At the end of our trip returning from California our flight was delayed and I was stressing about the dogs -- originally the flight was supposed to land at 9:00 but it had a 4 hour delay. Stephanie offered to stay until we wer home, which would have been 2:00 am, and eased my mind by offering to stay another night if it was delayed further. In the end I asked her to stay until 11:00 and let them out one more timebefore she left, which she did completely graciously. She even thought to give Molly her bedtime medicine before she left and let me know that. Can't recommend Stephanie highly enough, even though I'd like to keep her just for us.

This is our second booking with Elly and again, couldn’t be happier with trusting her with our dog! He had a great time— we got great updates and pics of him. Elly was so communicative and even helped troubleshoot a faulty water sensor that wouldn’t stop going off. Can’t recommend Elly enough— thank you for your awesome care of Pip, we appreciate you endlessly!!!

I am so pleased with Ashley's care of Fizi! Last month his bonded littermate, Voodoo, passed away and it's been hard for all of us. He's become extra attached and doesn't do well by himself. We had this planned vacation and she provided the necessary support so we could unwind. He clearly took to her immediately, including cuddling on her. I would highly recommend her to anyone, she clearly understands and cares about our furry family members!

Lily stayed at our house for a long weekend to watch our two dogs, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She was incredibly communicative throughout the stay, keeping us updated and making us feel totally at ease while we were away. She was also extremely easy to work with from start to finish. When we returned home, the house was exactly the way we left it, which we really appreciated. Most importantly, our dogs were clearly happy and well cared for. Lily did a wonderful job and we’re very grateful for the care she provided. We would absolutely book with Lily again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful dog sitter.

Lauren housesat for us with our 3 labs. She was very responsive to communication and kept us informed to any issues. We will use her services again in the near future. Our pups were happy and content when we got home. They were well cared for, and I think they miss her!!!

Sam came to the house prior to the trip to meet all the animals and get the layout. She asked great questions which I always appreciate. During the stay she took excellent care of my animals and sent plenty pictures of them so I wouldn't miss them so much! I would recommend Sam to anyone needing pet sitting services. Professional and kept my babies safe and happy!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred South Hooksett walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in South Hooksett maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in South Hooksett choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
