“Lindsey watched our dog, Jack, for an impromptu visit to the aquarium and lunch. She took WONDERFUL care of him and even though we’d never met her before, we were instantly put at ease by her calm and kind demeanor. Next time we’re in Newport, we’ll definitely reach out to her again. Thank you Lindsey!”

“This was my first time ever using rover as a customer and I am VERY impressed!!! We were in the area for a few errends, and didn’t want to leave our pup home for 8hrs😂 I got AMAZING pictures, she’s super sweet, and bonus points for taking my request THE MORNING OF! Simba didn’t even want to leave 😭 he had so much fun and I think will sleep the entire 3hr car ride home!”

“Jodie is absolutely amazing! Booked her last minute for two days of daycare for my puppy and she excepted right away. Her updates and communication throughout the day is absolutely awesome. I could not recommend a better person to watch your pet. I will be continuing to use her for all my daycare and boarding needs! If I could give her 10 stars I would!!”

About: I've been a pet owner my entire life. I've had dogs of varying breeds and sizes (2 Wheaten Terriers, 2 Vizslas, Dachshund, 3 Yorkies, Hound mix, Wire Fox Terrier) and had cats most of my life too. I currently have one dogs of my own, a Wheaten Terrier named Sundae who loves everyone. I am currently working from home and live right on the rail trail where I can take your precious pup on walks throughout the day. I have ample experience with puppies, special needs dogs (meds dispensing including injections), and nursing and pregnant mommas to be! I have extra crates and plenty of expen fencing I can put up at any time! I am currently working from home so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pets. We sometimes go on trips or hikes, but mostly we stay close to home. If your pets are friendly they will get along well with my girl Sundae. If not, as a former show dog exhibitor, I am well versed in the art of "crate and rotate," or if needed "cozy bedroom and rotate." Safety and cleanliness comes first, always.
“Ashley is pleasant and knows what she is doing with these dogs! She has an ideal yard and home and was willing to show me the environment. She sent me pictures throughout the day and made me feel very comfortable. We can’t wait to work with Ashley again!”

“Colleen was so welcoming and has a wonderful setup for dogs, with a spacious enclosed yard for them to run and play, as well as plenty of room inside. She’s great at communicating and sent videos and photos throughout the day, which gave me peace of mind. Mr. Smithers had the best time—he came home happy, completely tuckered out, and was still recovering from all the fun the next morning! It’s clear he loved making new friends. I highly recommend Colleen and will definitely book with her again!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - South Hooksett
Katie was amazing! This was our first time using Rover and we are very particular with our older Havanese. She was very communicative, sent pictures/videos during the day and asked clarifying questions if needed. We will definitely book with Katie again if/when we come back to Manchester.

Dalyce was excellent with Clovis! Our dog has lots of separation anxiety and it was comforting to know he was with someone that is patient and also has had experience with dogs that also have anxiety. She provided lots of updates too and was flexible with pickup and drop off hours, which we really appreciated. Thank you again Dalyce for looking after Clovis!

We had such a great experience with Suzannah! This was our second time using Rover and our first time leaving Mr. Smithers with her, and we couldn’t be happier. Her fenced-in yard was perfect for him to explore safely, play and he got along so well with her two sweet dogs. It gave us real peace of mind knowing he was in such caring hands. Suzannah kept us updated and it was clear he was comfortable, well cared for, and having a good time. We’d absolutely book with her again!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
