“My 8yo dog Wilbur loved her time with Joshua and Rebecca! We haven't needed dog sitting or daycare often, and I am so glad I was able to find Joshua while in town on a work trip. Wilbur made new friends (she can be a loner but loves people), got out on tons of walks and creeks, and even got to ride in the dog van. It can be stressful finding the right dog care when on the road vs. at home with people you know, and I'm glad Wilbur got to spend a few day care days with this family!”

“Lindsey did a great job taking care of our 7 month old pup. She was flexible and willing to adapt when we asked of the possibility of going from a daycare booking to an overnight stay. Makita had so much fun playing with her dog and she took her to the beach; her first time there. She was completely worn out which made our 3 hr journey back home easier for her. She slept the entire way! I wouldn’t hesitate to use her again if the situation permitted it!”

“Rebecca and her husband took fantastic care of our three dogs while we were in the area for a wedding. One of our dogs can be a little tricky, and I was really nervous to leave her in doggy day care. She's diabetic and also on anti anxiety medication - but Rebecca handled it like it was no big deal, and had her relaxing in the yard in no time. I really appreciated the check in during the day, to let me know how they were doing- and loved how obvious it was that she was paying attention to each of their personalities. Plus - with all the travel, one of my pups had been refusing to poop. Right until we got into Rebecca's house 🫠 but she handled it with such grace and made an awkward moment super easy for us. Thank you Rebecca!!”

“Julianna was a great dog sitter. She met us the night before to us. She was flexible when our plans changed slightly. She was responsive to messages and provided lots of pictures and comments to put us at ease. We will definitely keep her in mind the next time we need a dog sitter when we are in Londonderry. I highly recommend her for your dog sitting needs.”

About: I always loved and had dogs. Until I had a small size dog I have realized that leaving them at home is very heartbreaking. I have a 12year old Maltese girl. I always looked for someone to take care of her when I was not available. Now, I want to be that person for your little precious ones. I can be their companion when you are not available. I can maintain the same standards you provide as much as I can. Little ones have access to my couch, bed, lap as long as they want or I have different types of beddings around my apartment if they feel like being alone. (My dog is very independent, sometimes she prefers sleeping alone.) They won't be alone for a long time. Maybe just a short period of time such as grocery visit, I have a camera at my home so I can monitor how they are doing. Looking forward to meet them soon! ❤️ I’m currently studying and working from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pups in my care. We usually have two long walks and one shorter outing each day. On weekends, we enjoy exploring nearby parks and spending extra time outdoors. I have a friendly Maltese who enjoys the company of other dogs. My home is pet-proofed and set up to keep pets safe and comfortable, with crates, cozy pet beds, toys, a home monitor, and access to an outdoor area. I follow each pet’s routine closely and make sure they receive attention, exercise, and a calm environment.

“Quincy stayed at Katie's place for doggy day care when I was traveling in the area. He had a wonderful time with her and she provided regular updates. Katie provided the attention and oversight that a puppy needs and I felt very comfortable leaving Quincy with Katie knowing he was in good hands. Thanks so much!”

“Jodie took wonderful care of our tiny pup while we were out for the day. We had consistent updates during the sit and pictures of a very content puppy that gave us peace of mind and allowed us to enjoy the day. Already booked the next sit, so happy to have found a wonderful sitter nearby!”

“This was the first time I used a dog sitting app, and the experience that my pup and I had was excellent! Kimberlie was very attentive to my dog's needs and even sent me pictures throughout the day. I have every intention of rebooking with Kimberlie again and highly recommend her and this service to anyone looking to place their pet in a safe and loving environment. Thank you, Kimberlie!”

About: 🐾 Hi! I’m a mom to a wonderful 4 year old and currently work as a server. I’m looking to spend more of my free time caring for pets because animals have always been a huge part of my life! 🐾 I’ve been around animals almost my entire life, including dogs, cats, birds, ferrets, guinea pigs (I cared for 9 rescue guinea pigs for nearly 5 years), and even a chameleon for about 5 years. 🐾 I don’t currently have pets of my own, so becoming a pet sitter is the perfect way to spend time with animals while helping families who need reliable care. 🐾 I understand how stressful it can be to leave your pet with someone new. Your trust is something I take seriously, and I’ll treat your pet with the same love, patience, and attention I’d want for my own. My goal is to make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while giving you complete peace of mind. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! 🐾✨ I have Monday-Wednesday off, varying things going on during those three days so availability will vary! Fridays I’m available anytime after 4! Saturdays & Sundays while I’m at work I have my mom and best friend on stand by to come check in and give potty breaks to any pets in my care! Although I don’t have a fenced in yard, there are plenty of parks around for exploring and play time, as well as some yard space just right outside my home if you don’t feel comfortable with your pup being brought elsewhere! My place isn’t too big but my home is their’s for as long as they’re here! I can give baths if needed, walks, snuggles, and playtime!
“Ashley is pleasant and knows what she is doing with these dogs! She has an ideal yard and home and was willing to show me the environment. She sent me pictures throughout the day and made me feel very comfortable. We can’t wait to work with Ashley again!”

As of August 2026, there are 573 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Auburn. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Auburn commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 573 sitters in Auburn, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
