“Mudpie is always well cared for and enjoys being with Blanca. He gets excited at drop off and that helps me know that he is comfortable with the separation now. I love all the pictures and videos received throughout the day so I don't feel as guilty leaving him. Thank you so much for always being available to take him in!”

About: Hi! I’m an animal lover and a proud dog mom to two Maltipoos. I work from home, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. I know how important it is to find a safe and loving place for your fur baby while you’re away, whether it’s for a vacation, a weekend getaway, or a busy workday. My goal is to make both you and your pet feel comfortable and at ease. In addition to caring for my own dogs, I’ve also looked after the pets of friends and coworkers and have even rescued lost dogs in my neighborhood and helped reunite them with their families. I provide daily walks three times a day, and we enjoy playtime outdoors in a shaded area. In the evenings, I like to take the doggies to the lake and the dog park. I’ll keep you updated with regular photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I’ll treat your fur baby as if they were one of my own, making sure they feel safe, happy, loved, and right at home.

About: One thing about me, I genuinely care for your pet. I treat each pet as if they are my own and make sure to show that love and care throughout my time with them. Ive been a dog sitter and walker for over 9 years before joining this app. From puppies to seniors and with different health needs, I have the experience needed to take care of your pup. I now live in South Gate in a home with a fenced-in yard with convenient access to freeways and streets for easy commute. I understand the needs of different types of dogs from the overly friendly to very reactive and can accommodate to the dog’s needs accordingly. I currently have a 10 year-old husky and 1 year-old chihuahua mix I take care of at home. I’m currently in between jobs and have a lot of time on my hands. My time is most free during business hours but I am happy to accommodate to your scheduling needs. I currently live in an apartment. While it is a bit cramped, my husky is not territorial in the least and guest pups have an easy time accommodating to the space. If I am in someone else’s home, I will make sure to adhere to the rules and guidelines they provide me to take care of their pup(s).
“Savannah was great! She listened well to my requests and updated me on how Qtip was doing :) He was his chipper self when I picked him up so I think he had a great time with her!”

“I reached out to Katelyn as this was my dog's first time going to dog daycare. We were a bit nervous, but Katelyn was really supportive in her communications and flexible with us trying out dog sitting. When we first met Katelyn in person, Yuna (my dog) was already friendly towards Katelyn, so I knew that was a great first step. After dropping Yuna off, Katelyn provided updates shortly after on how Yuna was doing, calming my anxieties about the whole thing. I received photo updates, with good timing on breaks/walks. After picking Yuna up, I could see Yuna was very comfortable with Katelyn, as well as her partner. They took very good care of her and we plan to continue working with Katelyn for future dog daycare dates :)”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 12, treating them, healing then when they had minor injuries. Dogs are my favorite, I have a dog if my own his name is Paucki and he is 1 years old got him in my second year of college ! I was just excited to run to my dog after school! My love for pets is what sparked me to enter the wonderful world of pet sitting. I have been a dog walker/dog sitter and have been boarding dogs for 5+ years. I understand the importance of trusting someone to care for your "kids". I grew up with a household of furry friends! Many people thought my family was crazy for having so many pets! But I couldn't imagine my life without them. They bring so much joy and happiness to my family's life. Seeing their little faces everyday just puts a smile on my face! I’m currently available part time, i can do weekends and weekdays. Since I am a college student doing this side hustle to help me with my tuition and other needs. 🙌🏽 Depending the times you need my service, we will work that out to make dog sitting at your best experience. I have a crate for dogs, when needed to take care of them, I will make sure they are healthy and have their walk and are well taken care off. Most importantly keeping them safe.
“Miguel has been AMAZING with our Benny! He is responsive to our communication and we've felt comfortable knowing Benny is in great care. We get picture/video updates of Benny's day, and the environment is dog-friendly and safe for our pup. Thank you Miguel for taking great care of Benny!”

“We were so pleased with Brandon services ...we're from Canada vacationing and we visited Universal studio and stay at Marriott Hotel in Burbank Airport in LA. He was our lifesaver, at the last minute we needed to find a sitter for our dog Taco and he came to the rescue. We recommend him to anyone. He was kind and very acommodating.”

As of September 2026, there are 8,712 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across South Gate. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your South Gate commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
