About: I don’t remember a time in my life when there wasn’t a dog. We always had them growing up and I continue to love them now! I have grown up around or taken care of a German Shepherd, Beagle, Lab, Golden, Boxer, Great Dane, St Bernard, Heeler, and we currently have a Bernese Mountain Dog! My main goal will be to keep your pup safe and happy while you're away! I currently am a stay at home mom to three wonderful kiddos. My schedule can be very flexible for potty breaks and walks throughout the day. I have a fenced yard dedicated to just being the dog yard, separate from where the kids play. The yard connects to the garage where we can set up their kennel or a playpen for them to have all their favorite things from home! We live next to a large grassy park, perfect for playing or a walk to explore.

“Memo was fantastic! They were very communicative, took great care of my pup, and was flexible with a changing schedule. I would highly recommend!”

“Alyssa was super easy to communicate with. I was glad Maizey got to spend the day running out her energy with Dolly. Maizey is definitely a handful, so it’s always good when she can get out some of that puppy energy.”

“Barbara was great! She has the cutest old man, Barkley who is so friendly and got along great with my dogs. I felt comfortable leaving my dogs with them. :)”

“Teresa is the best! Finn is always excited to go there and has so much fun. Teresa is really great with Finn and has taken him on walks and to the dog park. She also has a great yard for him to play in. Thanks Teresa!”

About: I grew up in a homestead full of animals - dogs, cats, birds, and reptiles. I now have my own rescue dog, Laika, for the last 5 years. I have experience working with reactive dogs since my own is. If you use positive reinforcement in your training - I have treats for your pet! Every pet is different and I look forward to hearing what makes them most at ease. Please reach out to me if you'd like weekday doggy daycare in your home! This is not a service that Rover lists but one that I would be happy to accommodate as I primarily freelance from home. I like to take breaks throughout the day which could be filled with potty breaks or playtime - perfect for dog with separation anxiety or puppies! I cater to every pet differently - tell me what makes them the most comfortable while you're away. With dogs, I'm happy to do shorter, more frequent potty breaks or long walks.

“Bison LOVED her stay with Aderley! She had so much fun she didn’t want to come home! Aderley took amazing care of Bison, like she was her own! I’m so happy I found Aderley, she is the sweetest and has the kindest heart! I couldn’t recommend her more!! She played with Bison, walked her, fed her and snuggled her! I will definitely be booking with Aderley again!”

About: I’ve taken care of animals all my life. From gerbils, guinea pigs, small crabs, fish, dogs, cats, and bunnies. However, I currently don’t have any pets to care for myself. That’s why I want to help people by giving their pets the care and respect they deserve. I am currently unemployed so I have all the free time to care for your beloved pets. I am free to give them all the love and attention they need and deserve! I don’t have any pets at my home, so there’s no fear of animal conflict. I live in a great neighborhood with a large park. There’s also space in the home for any crated animal that needs care.

“Maggie didn’t hesitate to start running and playing when I handed her to Faye. Great correspondence with her also while we were gone. Will definitely be using her again!”

About: I grew up with multiple dogs at home, which gave me a lot of experience caring for them early on. I now have my own pup, Fisher, who is a lovable lab/spaniel mix. With 20+ years of experience caring for family dogs as well as neighbors and friends pets, I am prepared to care for any type of dog! Whether your dog loves going on long adventures or simply hanging out on the couch, they’ll be sure to have a great time while you’re away. I work from home during the week and will let your dog out through the day, either in our backyard or on walks around the block. We take our pup on a longer walk/hike in the morning and at night as well, and will happily bring your dog along if they like the exercise! Your pet will be treated like the king/queen of the household. If they’re staying with us, our lovable dog fisher will become their new best friend (if they’re interested). Dogs are allowed on furniture in our house and given ample exercise if that’s what they enjoy! If staying at your house, your rules will be followed. Your dog will always be treated as if it was my own!

About: I am a full-time journalist who loves to get out on the weekends! I’m originally from Alaska and spend every opportunity I can getting outside with my 15-year-old border collie. I work from home and stay with the animals all day. We wake up early for potty breaks first thing in the morning. Dogs are allowed on the furniture for ultimate snuggles! I have a fenced yard with plenty of animal friends to keep your pet occupied and comfortable. The house is also large enough that if your animal needs space, we can cordon off an area for them to have peace and quiet.

About: We’re an active household with a big backyard, doggie door, and both work from home. Walks, runs, and attention abound. Our Aussie loves other dogs and is an active and playful dog. Working from home gives us the chance to give your pet lots of attention. We often go on walks or runs, spend time on the trails, and prioritize the health and happiness of our dog and will do the same with yours! We have a big fenced backyard and a doggy door that gives your pet the opportunity to go in and out as they please. We take our dog on runs and walks regularly and give him a lot of attention!

About: I grew up on a farm and ranch surrounded by all kinds of animals. I have been pet sitting and have owned many pets since I left the farm 27 years ago. My young adult children also love pets and will spend time with your pets as well throwing the ball and playing chase in the large fenced back yard. I run a small business from home that has lots of flexibility. I absolutely love having extra pets around to take out for walks. I live a couple blocks from the DNRC, which is the perfect place for taking the dogs for a walk. I care for them just like I would care for my own. Fenced yard is very secure and no dangerous objects or chemicals at any time.

About: I have 3 big English retrievers at home. I’m a college student at Utah State and I miss my animals. I’ve been taking care of my dogs all since they were puppies-training, walking, feeding, playing etc. I love animals and I’m willing to put up with any type of animal. I am available any night or day of the week for house sitting, dog walking/feeding. I have a very open schedule and I’m willing to take care of pets as much as I can. Make sure they are kept in an enclosed environment so they don’t run away. Check for open gates, doors, etc. Essentially make sure the dog or cat is in your sight at all times.

About: I’m comfortable will pets of all sizes and breeds. I’ve grown up around animals my whole life (including horses and goats) and enjoy working with them. I work from home and attend classes virtually, so I can provide care at any time and ensure your loved one gets potty breaks, walks, and fed according to their needs and established routines. I am happy to provide other home care including watering plants, bringing in mail, setting out trash, and feeding and caring for livestock or hobby herds.

About: I have been lucky enough to grow up surrounded with fur babies and now I have a sweet 12 year old Staffy named Jasper and a snuggly 4 year old Chihuahua mix named Gracie. My animals have always been the light of my life and I feel honored to be their mom. Previously I rescued an 8 year old dachshund who had been used primarily for breeding with little to no socialization and very little trust in people. Rightfully so. She came with quirks and issues we learned to overcome together and she lit up my life for another 8 years. I also raised two kittens to adulthood and beyond. There's nothing like earning the love of a kitty cat or a dog who has had a tough life. I work remotely part time as an HR Consultant and have the flexibility to care for my sweet dogs and other fur babies as well. I'm experienced in feeding, walking giving medication - pill, liquid, injection and I'm comfortable working with shy or anxious pets. In fact, they have a sweet spot in my heart. I know leaving my pets in someone else's care has been a huge stressor in the past, and I'm so happy to help alleviate that stress for you. I work from home and have quite a flexible schedule. I am able to provide a safe comfortable home and yard for your pet while they visit. I have a nice fully fenced yard and a comfy little house full of lots of snuggly spots, treats, and love. Your pets safety and wellbeing is my number one priority. I'm happy to send updates and pics, as that's what I'd want! :)

20. Amanda F.
“Full disclosure. I'm biased because this is my wife. That being said, I am the most qualified person to tell you just how amazing Amanda is with pets. Since we've been together we've shared 4 pets. Our first two were large gray tabby cats. One was particularly challenging behaviorally. He ruined furniture, clothes, shoes, and more- but she never turned her back on him, and gave both cats the same love and attention for their entire lives. He continued to improve and ended up being a great cat just like his twin brother. Towards the end, they had their health challenges which brought a lot of stress, but again, she spared no amount of time or resources to make sure they were taken care of. That brings us to our two dogs. Our first was a rescued wiener dog named Pepper. She lived a very difficult first 8 years with a woman who used her to breed and kept her in a dirty kennel the rest of the time. Because of this, Pepper was afraid of women. Amanda was able to break down those barriers and make Pepper comfortable with her. As time went on, Pepper developed several health issues as she aged and Amanda did everything in her power to keep her comfortable and healthy including giving her required special medication (not always easy to administer because she bit lol). She is very good dealing with older pets with special needs. Finally, Mr. Jasper. The Staffordshire Bull Terrier. She declares him the "love of her life". Also, a rescue who was 5 when we got him. Generally, in good health, but two TPLO (knee) surgeries with long recovery times plagued him in recent years. Again, Amanda bent over backward to take care of him, even moving our bed downstairs so he would stay off the stairs during recovery. He's recovered, and thriving now thanks to Amanda's care. She will treat your pets as her own which, as you've read, means they will be EXTREMELY well cared for. I highly recommend!”
