Hi there, my name is April. I have been caring for animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs, cats, horses, goats, and rabbits. I now have two jack russel mixes: Choco + Sophie. In 2020, I worked as a dog care provider at a Pit Bull rescue facility in California. In that job, I learned a lot about dog behavior and rehabilitation. It opened up my heart to dogs that had been discarded and showed me the joy in providing second chances. In 2022 and 2023 I worked as a dog handler at a doggy daycare in Kentucky. At that job, I completed two 6-week-courses on dog behavior and comprehensive care. Through those courses, I learned a lot about dog communication and group behavioral management. I now consider myself very competent at facilitating safe and enriching experiences for all dog types / breeds. I currently work for a Wilderness Nonprofit here in Missoula. I work from home a lot and take my dogs out on walks or hikes every day. I would love to incorporate your pet into my schedule!

April was great! Always responded to messages right away. We got we updates and some cute photos/videos. I felt very comfortable when dropping them off and they seemed happy when picking them up! This was our first experience with Rover and it went great.
April is great!! My Australian Shepherd is a fetch fiend so she’s helped us out with his playtime. He gets sooo excited to see her when she arrives, and is always tuckered out by the end. Your dog is in good hands with her!!

I work from home and take my dogs on walks and or hikes every day. I would love to incorporate your pet into that schedule.

Safety, trust & environment
I take animal care very seriously and will make sure your pet is in the safest environment possible. I have a fenced yard and a comfy house that is very pet friendly. My dogs are very friendly with every dog they’ve met!
Pets
A typical day
I love to give dogs both mental and physical enrichment. I frequently play games inside like "find the treat" or give licky mats with my dog. I also give a minimum of three walks a day and do hikes or runs 2-3 times a week. I also love to snuggle up on the couch and give some love!
