About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats alike ever since I was a kid and still are surrounded by pets having dogs like frenchies and huskies. I am a college student working full time in the evening so I can care for your dogs anywhere in the morning to the late afternoon. I will typically take my dog Cedar on a walk in my morning with my tea and then we will snuggle, play fetch, maybe go to the dog park and then go on another evening stroll I love all animals dearly and cannot wait to care for yours. I believe strongly in positive reinforcement, as well as being keen on each animals physical cues (body language) as to react appropriately in each moment. I am willing and able to adapt my behavior around your pet(s) to suit your training preferences. Not only does our service include a dog friendly home away from home but an active one, and one typically off leash! Just a couple of locals looking to help keep your loved pups happy and well exercised while you are out of town. They will leave here happy and tired. Your doggos would be part of our pack while staying with us. This looks like an almost every day off leash hike or activity; typical 60-90 minutes on nearby trail systems. If staying during the week, dogs may have an infrequent stretch home alone, ALWAYS with access to dog doors to our fenced yard (typically Tuesdays or Wednesday). Our schedule is transparent and would be discussed prior to any booking so everyone is comfortable. The main priority is happy and exercised dogs in this house! We have two large yellow labs, both 8-years-old; brother and sister. Typical lab demeanor, friendly and loyal. Near daily hikes are a priority as everyone is happier when exercised. About: I've had pets in my family since I was born. We took on dogs big, small, and stray, cats, even rats! Our family was taught on the importance of how to care for living beings, other than ourselves. I've had a long history taking care of animals, as well as working in a barn and professionally caring for livestock animas such as horses, chickens, turkeys, cows, and goats. I love animals, and appreciate how unique each of them are, with what wonderful personalities they all have. I have plenty of experience with animals big and small, dealing with things that might intimidate some, but won't phase me. I've even bathed cats! I am currently transitioning into a part time job, so at the moment I have all day to look after animals. But even with a part time job, I wouldn't be away from the animals for long, so you'll have no worry that your fur-baby is in good and attentive hands. I live in an apartment complex, so smaller to medium sized animals I can host in my home at the owners comfort level, but I have plenty of room for them to roam and play, and I have plenty of time to take them for scenic walks, hikes, and access to a fetching yard.
