“Michelle was the best Rover ever! She came with extensive experience with animals at the Humane Society, which is just what Spirit needed. Spirit was a rescue and although very well adjusted to her new home, having the most experienced and loving caretaker. At our meet and greet, Michelle asked about all of her needs, medical and how to play with her. She was an instant friend with organic buffalo treats on our meet and greet. In our week away we got daily updates with wonderful pictures of Spirit doing her favorite things from eating to playing with her favorite toys. The bubbles, the balls and her wand. She was a happy well fed cat while we were gone. She even turned up the heat on a cold day in Forestville. Michelle was a fantastic Rover and Spirit and her family were very grateful to have fo”

About: I am an energy infrastructure development executive and entrepreneur who loves to do other work like this locally when I can. I am an experienced, responsible, and fun family-oriented option for support, care, and love for your pets, as my 9 year old son will accompany me. I offer drop-in visits and walks. I have lived with and cared for cats and dogs most of my life - growing up with golden retrievers, yellow labs, a husky, German shepards, and a range of domestic short haired cats, including currently our amazing 1 year old cat named Knuckles. I enjoy meeting more great dogs and cats, and more neighbors by helping when folks are traveling, working long hours, or have other constraints. I work remotely most of the time and in an entrepreneurial environment so I inherently have flexibility in my schedule. I just include it in the plan. I treat others homes and creatures as I would my own, and can be relied on without question. The core of everything is honesty and respect.

“Rachel was great! Everything you could want in a pet sitter- communicative, good with our babies, clean, and so sweet! Our scaredy-cat came out within a day of here here which is unheard of. Will totally be our go to pet sitter.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs, cats & other pets since I was a teenager. I can also take care of other pets if necessary. Thanks! I am very flexible with my availability. Being outside with nature is necessary for my well being so pet care is second nature to me. I will take great care of your fur bbs in your home. I will give them pets, snuggles, food & play with them! I will be present with your pets while you are away to ease their separation anxiety & make sure they have the proper care.

About: I’ve been obsessed with dogs my whole life. Growing up on a ranch, I was constantly surrounded by pups, some mine, some rescues, and all full of personality. I’ve cared for big dogs, nervous dogs, high-energy goofballs, and everything in between. I used to have a Great Pyrenees and a whole crew of German Shepherds, and now I’m just really missing having dogs around. I always follow any feeding, walking, and medication instructions to a T, and I’ll keep you updated with pics and notes so you never have to wonder how your pup is doing. I don't have dogs at home right now, so your pup will get my full attention without competition or stress. Whether your dog needs playtime, snuggles, or just someone calm and loving to hang with, I’m your girl! I work full-time from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, which means I’m available for evening check-ins, walks, or playtime during the week. I’m also free most weekends and would love to spend that time hanging out with your pets. Whether it’s a quick visit, a post-work walk, or some weekend company, I’m happy to help however I can! I know firsthand how important our animals are—they’re family. As a pet parent myself, I completely understand how nerve-wracking it can be to trust someone new with your pet. That’s why I go above and beyond to make you feel confident and comfortable every step of the way. I treat every animal like one of my own and make it a priority to follow your routines exactly, so your pet feels safe, relaxed, and loved in their own environment. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and always respectful of your home. You can count on me to show up when I say I will, give your pet the attention they deserve, and keep you updated so you never have to wonder how things are going.

About: Caring for animals is one of my greatest passions in life. I have over 30 years of experience and have cared for many different animals including horses, bearded dragons, goats, sheep, hamsters, ducks, chickens, fish, snakes, and of course, dogs and cats. I had a little farm in Illinois before I moved to California in 2015. On this farm, I rescued and cared for chickens, kittens, dogs, and goats. I have experience with training puppies as well as providing extra care to aging animals. I look forward to meeting you and your pets. I have a flexible schedule and can come to your home to care for your pets any day of the week, longer stays are available upon request. I can drop in to care for your pets when needed. Overnight stays are available upon request. I go the extra mile to ensure your home and your pets are cared for.

“Clair is the best! Trusting someone with our baby has been tough, and she makes us all feel comfortable every step of the way. She also pays attention to important details and is flexible and reliable.”

“Liz took extra special care of my cat will I was away. He’s indoor/outdoor and she made sure his every need was taken care of. Would absolutely recommend Liz and book her again.”

“Ashley is simply the best! My kitty Shiloh loves her and is so social with her. She usually keeps to herself around anyone who isn't me (She's a Mommy's girl), but she adores Ashley. And I do, too. We are so grateful to have her in our lives.”

About: I’ve lived with dogs since my first memory. I grew up on a farm, and we had 3-6 dogs at any given time. When I went to college, I adopted the first dog I would raise on my own -- he lived almost 15 happy years. I rescued another pup in my mid-thirties — he’s going on 7, and we’re best buds. So, I have experience taking care of puppies, seniors, and every age in between. My dogs and I have participated in puppy schools and worked 1:1 with excellent dog trainers -- in each case, I learned as much as my dog. I believe dogs just want to give love and get love back. This emotional reciprocation, along with adequate exercise and a healthy diet, makes for a happy, healthy dog. I believe every dog is good by nature, and, as humans, we have a responsibility to provide dogs with a nurturing environment in which they can be their good-natured, happy selves. I love connecting with a new dog, understanding its world and experience. With empathy from this connection, I find it easier to care for a dog and provide the type of love any particular dog needs and wants -- through daily routines, fun-hearted play, and plenty of attention. Ultimately, this leads to a more enjoyable relationship between human and canine. While I’m primarily a dog person, I grew up with lots of cats on the farm and have lived with and cared for cats here and there as an adult. I feel comfortable with cats and understand their needs. I understand the trust required to let someone else take care of your pet. My promise is to always be building and reinforcing my trustworthiness as a caregiver to animals and plants. I walk my dog every day. I understand some dogs need more than one walk per day, depending on their energy level. I also make sure my dog gets outside several times a day to enjoy the fresh air and relieve them. I will do the same for yours, based on your preferences. At this time, I work from home, so my availability for drop-ins or walks is very flexible. I am calm, gentle, and patient and aim to create an environment where the dogs I care for can feel and act the same. When walking, I like to keep dogs on a 6-foot leash (not a retractable leash) and keep the dog walking forward as opposed to stopping every few seconds. I consider myself the leader (not the dog) and intend to set a vibe where the dog understands they have a job to do -- walk!
