About: I’ve had hand-on experience as well caring for my neighbors dog since she was a puppy. I helped look after her regularly by spending time with her and keeping her company as well as looking over her when needed. I’ve learnt the patience, attentiveness, and consistency that’s is required for a dog’s individual needs especially witnessing it from puppyhood when she could be carried easily up to when she’s heavy to hold up. Im currently working part-time with flexibility for your pets! Tuesdays and Sundays are totally free, and afternoons are generally always welcome to set appointments together. I prioritize heavily on making pets feel comfortable and safe in their environment. I’ve careful to follow each pet parent’s instructions, keeping doors and gates to close attention, and making sure all parts of their routine, for, water, walks, playtime are all handled as recommended.
“I definitely recommend Ashleigh as your next pet sitter! She went above and beyond and made sure our cats were well taken care of! We were surprised that our shy little guy came out and played with her while we were away. She’s awesome!”

About: I’ve been in the horse training and care industry for roughly 20 years and have learned an immense amount about animal care over that time. I have worked with all different species, breeds, sizes, and temperaments and I am willing to take on any challenge. My schedule is currently part time and scattered so I have a lot of availability and flexibility to care for any and all animals. I also have nearly fully availability on the weekends. I will not be offering services in my home but will be available to travel to your home and I will respect your house rules.
About: Walks through Armstrong Redwoods are a favorite activity. I have a large yard and a dog friendly house. I have a couple of years experience working in a veterinary clinic giving me experience medicating animals, including giving injections. I have a pool for dogs who love to swim! I was a volunteer and puppy raiser for Canine Companions for Independence back in the mid to late 1980's, and a Puppy Petter for Assistance Dog Institute in the early 2000's. I've also kept busy with boarding in my home for friends and acquaintances. I love dogs!! I have Sundays and Mondays off from my full time job, but I can fit in a nice walk after 4 pm most other days. When I have someone's dog, they get my full attention; we play, exercise, snuggle. My focus is providing an enriching experience for your dog .
“Pam took excellent care of my pets - cats and hens - and kept me posted through WhatsApp about their status. Left the house clean and tidy - so will definitely hire her again!”

About: Hello, I’m Tiffany and am a Sonoma county lover working in the wine industry! I have a few years of dog walking/sitting experience, but I have been focused on my wine industry career for the last few years. However, I have years of experience working for Wag! for dogs of different breeds and sizes. I’ve also had the pleasure of taking care of my friends dogs and other pets when they are away. They all have ranges of personalities and I’ve truly enjoyed getting to work with them all. As I love the energy that a younger dog might exude, I also love the calmness an older dog might have. I used to have a Sheltie who was the sweetest and silliest boy. He passed away in 2019 at 14 years of age, but I’ve been with him since he was a puppy and he’s the reason for my huge love for dogs. I am a very outdoorsy person and I love sports, staying active and healthy. I am flexible on accommodating anything you might require for your pet, whether it’s just a persons presence or longer walks or runs with your dog! I can’t wait to meet your furry pets and give your animals the love and affection that they crave :) I just finished my spring semester of college so I will have more time this summer to take care of your pups. I especially have time over the weekends! I have a fenced yard which will be perfect to have your dog run around and I can take your dog out as often as needed. If they have a specific routine I will be sure to stick to it!
“Kelly was easy to work with and she was very patient with my shy kitty. She helped us out a lot when our travel plans changed. Glad to know she’s nearby to help us with our pets!”

“Angelina was great! I really can not think of one thing that I was not happy with. She kept me updated on my kitty and sent pictures. I came home to an immaculate home. She even did some light grocery shopping for my return home. Wow, I thought this was so thoughtful. Thank you, Angelina, for letting me enjoy my vacation knowing that I had left everything in good hands. 👏”
“Jenn took great care of my cat Tuna while I was away. During a very hot weekend, she made sure my indoor/outdoor kitty had access to the house. She let me know how Tuna was doing throughout the weekend. I would definitely ask her to sit again!”

About: I’ve been around animals all my life. I’ve always had a dog or a cat growing up. I’ve dog sat for my aunt when she on vacation traveling since I was 18 years old. She had dogs from Dalmatians to mawltises to hound dogs and boarding collies. I’ve had rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, dogs and cats growing up. I’ve even taken care of birds and reptiles. I just love animals and I love taking care of them. I feel if the world lived life more like a dog the world would be a way better place. I’m a store manager for shell gas station so I have lots of flexibility with my schedule and what hours I want to work. But I mainly work Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and four hours on the weekend. I have a dog door with a fenced in yard as well as garage with a dog door in it so i can separate if need be. I also have a aunt that live less than five minutes away that can always drop by and check on them as well. I live in a very safe area in an HOA community with a park around the Corner. Quiet street, with very little bother. I have a fence in yard with dog door, garage and gates. I have a dog super friendly as well as two cats super friendly. About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats my entire life, and I also grew up raising chickens and quail. I have 1 dog/cat loving dog named Rupert and 1 cat named Panda. I’m a registered nurse during the week, so I’m very comfortable administering medications and injections. I’ve previously house-sat for a diabetic dog and have experience providing attentive care for senior dogs and cats with medical needs. I have a special place in my heart for rescue animals and have dedicated a lot of time to training my own dog, Rupert. I’m committed to providing compassionate, reliable, and high-quality care—and I look forward to treating your pets like part of my own family. I work full-time as an RN, with three 12-hour shifts each week, which gives me two weekdays off and every weekend free. I spend a lot of my time walking my dog, Rupert, and if your pup is friendly, I’d love to include them for walks and positive socialization. If your dog prefers their own space, that’s absolutely fine too. I’m just as committed to providing calm, one-on-one attention and have plenty of experience caring for dogs who aren’t especially social. I have a fully fenced yard and a friendly, dog- and cat-social dog at home. My cat is comfortable around dogs, though he can be a bit selective with new cats. Pets are welcome on the furniture and even the bed—this is a home-away-from-home environment. If your pup prefers their own space, that’s no problem at all. I have multiple dog beds throughout the house and plenty of room for a crate if that’s what they’re used to. I’ve dedicated a lot of time to training my current dog, Rupert, and I’ve only ever owned rescue animals, so I understand the patience, structure, and consistency they need to feel safe and thrive. For walks, I always come prepared with freeze-dried treats to reinforce positive behavior and make the experience fun and rewarding.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Mirabel Heights
Melissa is a kind & compassionate pet sitter who is extremely reliable & communicative. I could see from the daily notes & great photos that my cat was loving all the attention & extra playtime from Melissa & her charming son. I came home to a happy cat & house exactly as I had left it. She even re-set the clocks after a power outage. I can't recommend her highly enough.

Melissa was a very experienced, long-term pet lover and had a special fondness for cats. We could really tell because of the bond between Melissa and her family Spirit in the pictures. Spirit was spoiled with her favorite toys while we were away and I think we a new friend in our neighborhood to take care of our very active cat. Mary, David and Noah

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
