About: With nearly a lifetime of experience raising and training dogs, primarily hunting/sport breeds, I have been exposed to various handling styles and training techniques that have lead me to focusing on Free-Shaping my personal pack of dogs for the past 13 years. Because I have 3 dogs of my own (teenager, adult, senior) I have a pretty regular routine everyday of various activities with them individually and as a pack. Thursday through Sunday the flexibility of my open availability allows me to take on additional dogs on a part-time basis. Working with dogs will hopefully keep me from growing my pack anymore...fur now😉. My pups have individual crates, and beds to relax in the house. Big back yard, unfortunately unfenced, but there is a tether run and tie outs to use as needed. Dogs are never in the yard unsupervised. I transport them in a Chevy Suburban to other fun places around the Tahoe/Truckee area. Everyday is filled with multiple adventures, meal times in the early AM and late evening after a long walk. Individual needs or "rules" for your fur baby are completely respected, "it's your pup, it's your call".

“Leo was right at home with Olivia. She stayed with him in my home, took amazing care of both. She is calm, communicative, and really took the time to understand my expression of Leo’s needs. I highly recommend her, and will be booking with her again very soon!”

“Aaron is wonderful! He is very sweet and caring to our 14 year old lab, and took our rambunctious young boxer on long hikes. He kept us updated throughout the 'tour of duty' and left the house absolutely spotless. We would definitely ask him to care for our boys again.”

“Jessica took great care of our pup. She clearly has a lot of knowledge and familiarity with dogs and we felt very comfortable leaving town knowing she was taking care of our 9 month old puppy. I wholeheartedly recommend her!”

“Erika was exceptional! Our dogs loved her. She sent us regular updates with photos and video showing our dogs having a great time. I think they had a better time with Erika than we did on our vacation! Thanks Erika.”

About: As a sitter, my experience working at an animal hospital and being enrolled in a veterinary technician program ensures I bring professional-level care to each pet I watch as well as treating them as if they were my own pets. I am skilled in administering medications, monitoring health, and providing comfort to pets of all ages. Whether that be training puppies, caring for senior pets or maniging special medical needs, I approach every animal with care and compassion. You can trust that your pets are in safe, loving hands. I am currently enrolled in a Veterinary Technician Program in Hawaii, but I spend my summers here in Tahoe. I am pretty much available anytime! In the clients home, I make sure to keep all pets comfortable by maintaining their usual routine. I follow any specific instructions provided such as feeding schedules, walking routes or enrichment exercises.

“Rose was amazing! She took great care of our pets and followed their care instructions perfectly. She sent us daily updates and lots of pictures. She also took great care of our home.”

“Jillian is very friendly, cooperative and communicative. She kept me informed throughout the day to reassure me that my dogs were fine. Because she did this, I could relax knowing my dogs were in good, caring hands for 8 days. She cleaned my house and took extra care to make sure she followed instructions properly.”

About: I’ve owned, trained and taken care of dogs my entire life. All animals love me! I l enjoy being outside with any and all animals to accompany me! I have a very open schedule for anytime pet care! Day and night I am available for all and any Truckee area pet care needs I currently live in a home with 3 fun and friendly dogs who are very well taken care of and with lots of room to play!

About: I have been caring for animals since I was 11 years old; including family, friends, neighbors and referrals. I grew up in a family that always had pets and have lived with others with pets as well. I am very comfortable and knowledgeable of animals of many ages and types. I have assisted with puppy training and working on commands and discipline and also cared for senior dogs who need extra attention and assistance. I am currently attending nursing school ~3-4 days/week and have availability in the evenings, weekends and some days to assist with pet care needs. My schedule is flexible outside of clinical hours and am excited to spend time with your animals and assist with your needs. I am available for short check-ins, walks, overnights, and weekends you are away. My ideal setting for pet care would be at a client's home due to already having one at home. I am open to caring for pets at my home once we have determined that our animals would be comfortable with one another and get along well! My house has a fenced in yard with lots of space for activity and play time for your pets. I have experience with house sitting and dog sitting concurrently whether for a few hours, few days or weeks. I am respectful, clean and responsible and follow instructions and client preferences.

About: I’ve been an owner and caretaker of dogs for my entire life. I’m active, thoughtful and responsible in everything I do. Work with me and you’ll never worry about the quality of your dogs care again. My full time job is an entrepreneurial one. As far as work goes I am flexible and able to come and go as I please. I won’t take offers if I’m not able to be present with your pet. I’ve worked with a variety of dogs. Those that are calm, aggressive, nervous etc. Throughout my years of care i’ve adopted different strategies for different dogs and I’ve proven desirable outcomes. I won’t do anything myself or the owner would not be comfortable with and I follow instructions and preferences diligently. If I assume care in your home I always respect the dog and space as if it was my own. A high standard at that.

9. Ena W.
“We were introduced to Ena through mutual friends and couldn't be happier with her services. Ena walked our pug Burton twice a day Monday through Friday without fail. And Burton loved spending time with her! She is compassionate, trustworthy, and extremely responsible and I feel safe with Burton in her care. So safe in fact that we asked Ena to stay in our home and housesit/pug-sit when we were out of town. Burton experiences random seizures but I trusted Ena to know what to do if and when a seizure happened. Her knowledge as a vet tech is immeasurable and I wouldn't trust anyone else to care for Burton but Ena. She's amazing!”
