About: Have taken care of friends' and neighbors' pets through most of my childhood, and continue to dogsit for friends during vacations, weddings, or other needs. I love spending time in the woods, so can take your pet on outdoor adventures, hiking, biking, skiing, or snowshoeing. Pet care is something I do in my free time, outside of working as an outdoor educator or substitute teaching. I plan to spend most of the Fall, Winter, and Spring in Truckee, so weekends or weekdays are all on the table. I keep a watchful eye over pets in my home, and allow them safety within and without the house. I live near downtown Truckee, so time outside is spent on the leash. I always leave pet food and water out, and have pet-loving roommates.

About: I’ve taken care of pets of every kind since I was a kid. From dogs and cats to birds and turtles. Animals have always been a magical part of my life. Weekly animals are a huge part of my life. From caring for my own, to walking dogs and watching animals while their families are away. We live in a neighborhood that is very close to lots of great trails for hiking. My dog Abby loves making friends as do my kids.

About: I've had furry friends my whole life, 5 Golden Retrievers to be exact! I love all kinds of pups, cats, and animals. I've had a lot of experience walking and caring for dogs! I'll love your dog like my own and hope to help out with getting him / her out of the house while you're away. I have experience walking / exercising all sorts of dogs; big, small, old, young, high energy, and social butterflies. I'm currently work from home, so I have plenty of time and flexibility to play with your pup! I'm dedicated to taking the best care of your furry friend. While visiting your dog for weekly walks, I will defer to your defined house rules when it comes to greeting and socializing with your dog. I will be sure to keep any preferred doors closed, gates up, and toys away. I will reinforce rules like staying off of furniture, etc. I will always be sure to refill water bowls as needed and will leave your home tidy and clean. If allowed, I will be happy to give your dog treats after a successful walk! I have also had many opportunities to house sit and truly enjoy it! I will treat your home as my own, keeping things clean, tidy, and respecting your space. My priority remains the same among all of my house sits, making sure your home, house plants, animals, and daily responsibilities are well looked after and taken care of.

About: Everything will be done to keep your dog safe, healthy, calm, and happy while they are in my care. All visits include the following: lots of walks tracked with strava, photo updates, and extra love. Your best friend will get filtered water from fresh bowls each day, and only give your dog food and treats that you provide. You deserve what you want during your dogs stay. Consider this a vacation for your dog, and that all their needs will be taken care of so you can enjoy your time on your vacation, staycation, or day trip. Skiers and Snowboarders, drop them for the day with confidence in my expertise. Your dog is the foundation of my routine. I love to work, and cherish the opportunity to provide my high level services for your dog so that you can enjoy your time without them. All dogs get extra love in the mornings, and structure during walks. Assuming our dogs get along I’ll let them play. If needed, I’ll keep my guy from being too friendly, and I am prepared to keep dogs separated if they aren’t the best fit to be together. But I also limit how many dogs I take at once, to keep things easy on me.

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and honestly can’t remember a time when there wasn’t a pup in the house. I grew up in a family that always had multiple dogs at once — labs, cocker spaniels, dachshunds, golden retrievers, goldendoodles — plus all the neighborhood dogs that seemed to end up at our place for playdates or pet sitting. Caring for different breeds and personalities has always just been part of my daily life, not something I had to learn later. Since moving out on my own, my roommates have almost always had dogs, and I naturally end up sharing responsibilities — walks, feeding, playtime, and making sure they feel loved and included. I’m a big “dog person” in every sense: I connect with dogs quickly, read their body language well, and make a real effort to help them feel safe, calm, and happy while their people are away. Whether your dog is high-energy and playful or more of a couch snuggler, I’ll treat them like my own and keep you updated so you can relax while you’re gone. I currently work fully remote and have about a 20 to 30 hour per week workload, which leaves me with plenty of extra time each and every day! I’m a very active person and tend to fill my downtime with walking hiking cross country skiing or downhill skiing whenever I can and my flexible schedule certainly helps that. I’ll be more than happy to do just about anything that you request to make your dog happy and comfortable. Let’s just talk about it first!

“Zohar came to our rescue when our planned petsitter bailed at the last minute - in the middle of a winter storm with a high mountain pass to conquer. Friendly, calm, and concerned with detail, he took great care of our Buddha while we were gone. We came home to a contented, pooped puppy after his daily walks and exercises. About: I have cared for my families dogs all my life! There were always dogs, cats, fish, chickens, horses, and birds in my childhood home. I have also spent time working at boarding facilities and managing clientele and there pets in the past. I have a deep love for animals and have always enjoyed playing with and training them. I work a few days out of the week as a ski instructor and have pretty laid back evenings. I am spending the rest of my time just working from home! I love caring for pets in their own home! It makes them feel more comfortable and allows for there to be routine for the animal. I like to stay consistent with the care they typically would receive. I love to hike, bike, cross country ski, and jog. I’d love to take your dog along with me on my adventures if they like getting outdoors! However, I also love cozy nights in if thats more their speed.

About: With nearly a lifetime of experience raising and training dogs, primarily hunting/sport breeds, I have been exposed to various handling styles and training techniques that have lead me to focusing on Free-Shaping my personal pack of dogs for the past 13 years. Because I have 3 dogs of my own (teenager,adult,senior) I have a pretty regular routine everyday of various activities with them individually and as a pack. Thursday through Sunday the flexibility of my open availability allows me to take on additional dogs on a part-time basis. Working with dogs will hopefully keep me from growing my pack anymore...fur now😉. My pups have individual crates, and beds to relax in the house. Big back yard, unfortunately unfenced, but there is a tether run and tie outs to use as needed. Dogs are never in the yard unsupervised. I transport them in a Chevy Suburban to other fun places around the Tahoe/Truckee area. Everyday is filled with multiple adventures, meal times in the early AM and late evening after a long walk. Individual needs or "rules" for your fur baby are completely respected, "it's your pup, it's your call".

About: I grew up in Alaska with a house full of energetic huskies. I have experience with puppies as well as old dogs who need extra attention. I love to run/ get outside with dogs! It's always more fun with a little company. I have a flexible schedule and reliable transportation. I work in a ski shop Wed-Sun, but have plenty of time to take breaks and check on the pup. I own an SUV with plenty of room for the dog to hang out in if they come with me to work. I typically work 4-7 hours per day so the dog wouldn't be left alone too long if I kept them at home. My service would require care in the clients home because my lease is strictly no pets. I would be happy to care for your pet in the comfort of its' own home! I would take it for at least 2 walk/runs per day, feed it according to your schedule, and of course give it plenty of love and attention while you're gone.
