About: Hello, I am a local who lives full time in Tahoe City. I've been a pet owner with both dogs and cats for the last 30+years. I am a mother of two grown children that are now off away at school. I work at the local elementary school with young children of special needs. I am a fun, caring and loving person who loves both animals and humans. I don't have any pets living with me so your pet would be the only one I would be caring for. I am free to take care of your pet most days, nights and some weekends. I work from home during the summer months so my schedule is always flexible. I currently live in a condo down the street from Lake Tahoe. There are numerous parks at the lake as well as many hiking trails to walk your dog at that are close by my place. About: As a cattle dog owner, I'd like to think I have a special set of skills for crazy babies. I have always had rescues and fosters in my home. I have been fortunate to work with foster pets from the Caribbean and Mexico as well, each of these often came with health issues. I have experience with pregnant dogs and cats as well! If you are interested in having your pet stay over, know I have a very friendly dog. She has both experienced having guests and foster pets in the house as well. Tolerant and obedient. I have multiple rooms and baby gates for separation and quiet time. In general, I am a very active and outdoorsy person! So i am happy to take the pets out to the trails or the lake! I live on 10 quiet acres with a fenced yard. There is ample space to play outside or be kept safe and warm inside. I work from home 90% of the days so I can provide full time oversight and care. I also work a job where I can take the dogs with me if you approve! I am fortunate to work from home. I have the ability to provide care all day and night for your pet! I walk each morning and evening and have the option to take your pet out for a walk or a play on the property in both fenced and unfenced areas. I have an older dog who is very arthritic so I am used to caring for the elderly animals as well. Pets in my home have their own room if needed. I have plenty of space for crates. I have a large gated deck and live on 10 acres on a quiet road. My own pets walk daily with me along my road which works well for easy elder dog walks as it is shady even in the summer. It also can provide great training ground as there is little traffic. For the high energy babies, we can play fetch or take to the trails nearby. I have always had rescue pitties so I am comfortable with big cuddly babies. I adopted a cattle dog pup who had clinical anxiety which has taught me how to care for highly intelligent, high energy dogs as well. Treats, love, and confidence makes for a happy dog!

A little about me: I am a realtor and love my job! But with being a solo-caretaker of my elderly grandmother, this seems to be flexible. My schedule is mostly incredibly flexible, especially if planned in advance. I’m also great for last minute saves if things fell through with your normal pet sitter! I will meet you and your pet exactly where you are at! Anything that is out of my scope of comfort will be clearly communicated in advance or as needed. I am all about open communication on both sides. I can’t help if you don’t tell me what you need! If I can’t provide it, I certainly usually know someone who could. And that goes for a lot of things. Looking to build trusting relationships with pets and their humans! I am flexible on any changes or needs you and your pets may have. I’ve cared for puppies up to senior pups for long periods of time for clients and happy to share those references upon request. About: I have extensive hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. I run a 501(c)(3) dog rescue, regularly transport dogs, care for puppies, seniors, and special-needs dogs, administer medications, work on basic training, leash manners, and provide structured, loving care tailored to each pet’s needs. Pet care fits seamlessly into my schedule because animals are already a central part of my daily life. I work from home and plan my days around feeding schedules, walks, medications, enrichment, and individualized care. This flexibility allows me to be reliable, responsive, and fully present for each pet. I have 2 600+ feet plus areas for dogs to run and play. We have a building for them to sleep cozy, clean and safe.
About: We have taken care of animals all our lives and have a genuine love for each of them. We have experience with it all; new puppies and kittens, as well as older furry friends who may need special treatment and/or administering medication. Between the both of us, we always make it a priority to work with our pups with lots of playtime, exercise, training and socialization daily. We both are self employed and create our own schedules so we are flexible and work together to ensure our pets have an enjoyable & active day. We have a large dog-friendly fenced-in yard as well as amazing trails just outside our backdoor. Our Aussie-Border Collie mix, Penny is super friendly and submissive and gets along with everyone. About: I started taking care of dogs in September of 2025 at dog daycares. It’s not long, but I’ve learned so much in 6 months and I’m truly happy to be able to take care of dogs. I’m able to read body language if dogs are scared, uncomfortable, or agitated, I’ll be able to help. I’ve administered medications to dogs that need, even if the dog is being difficult. It is my duty to make sure that each dog is attended to and cared for. My schedule will allow me to give your dog plenty of attention throughout the day. I am available at any time when needed to do walks, drop-in visits, and overnight care. I make sure every pet receives regular exercise, playtime, companionship, and a consistent routine while you're away. Your pet's safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I provide a clean, secure, and loving environment where dogs can feel relaxed and at home. I carefully follow feeding schedules, exercise routines, medication instructions, and any special care requests. I treat every pet as if they were my own and provide regular updates, photos, and communication so you can have peace of mind while you're away. I worked as a kennel technician at a dog daycare, so all this comes naturally to me!

About: Hello, I am a local who lives full time in Tahoe City. I've been a pet owner with both dogs and cats for the last 30+years. I am a mother of two grown children that are now off away at school. I work at the local elementary school with young children of special needs. I am a fun, caring and loving person who loves both animals and humans. I don't have any pets living with me so your pet would be the only one I would be caring for. I am free to take care of your pet most days, nights and some weekends. I work from home during the summer months so my schedule is always flexible. I currently live in a condo down the street from Lake Tahoe. There are numerous parks at the lake as well as many hiking trails to walk your dog at that are close by my place. I will always walk your dogs on a leash unless otherwise informed by owner to let run free in the woods and trails. I am very safe and responsible.

About: I'm Rachel, a writer with a flexible schedule and a love of all things canine. I live with my husband, and my chocolate Labrador retriever, Ellie, in our West Shore cabin near Homewood. I signed up for Rover because dog sitting helps me get my fix for having a doggy harem. I would love to shower your dog with attention and affection. I volunteer at the local humane society, so I'm very adept at adapting to your dog's needs. I particularly love active dogs, and I'm happy to take your pup on hikes and swims in the lake. I'm also happy to hang out and have a more relaxing day with older, less active pups. Ellie (13) is very well-socialized, and she gets along well with dogs of all sizes. I work from home with a very flexible schedule, so I’m always happy to go out for a walk or a hike. Ellie, my 13-year-old Lab, is always up for meeting a new dog friend. Daycare Rates & Information: Daycare is up to 8 hours of care. Anything longer than that time, please book a boarding stay. Drop-offs anytime after 8 a.m. Pickups before 8 p.m. Although there is a nice buffer of woods near my house, the yard is not fenced (hopefully soon). I’ll be sure to keep your pup on a leash just in case! There’s an enclosed deck for sunbathing and watching chipmunks.
