“Milagros is an excellent companion and walker for my dog Rex. Rex needs a walker who stays alert to his surroundings and is able to anticipate situations which might cause problems. Milagros handles all of Rex's anxieties and redirects when needed. Rex comes home happy and relaxed. Milagros walks Rex 5 days a week while I recover from a broken leg. She is on time, communicates well, and enjoys Rex. I trust her completely and am grateful to have found Milagros to help out for the next couple of months.”

“We are so happy that Danielle is taking great care of our fur baby! She is great with communicating regarding walking times and days, she loves our fur child like her own, and she is dependable. Highly recommend!”

About: I’m not your average sitter, I work as a rescue pilot, helping relocate dogs across California, and I’ve cared for a wide range of pups from high-energy escape artists to senior dogs needing medication and extra support. I’m calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and genuinely love getting to know each dog’s personality and routine. Whether your dog needs a structured walk, extra patience, or just someone attentive and reliable, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for every step of the way. As a flight instructor and commercial pilot, my schedule is pretty flexible, mostly depending on my students, the weather, and if any pups are needing rescue. Meet & greets $10 within 5 miles, $15 within 10 miles from me! I can crate and transport your dog if need be, otherwise will be caring for them in your home and surrounding area/neighborhood for walks! :)

About: I’ve pet sat for friends and family since I was a kid! I regularly house sat for my neighbors for a few years before they moved, and worked on rover from 2022-2024 mostly dropping in on cats. Im currently working part time and work 2-4 8 hr shifts a week. I’m an early riser and love getting out of bed in the morning for cool and long walks. I’m home often and have lots of time for bathroom and play breaks. I keep a clean space and love exploring new parts of Sacramento! I’d be happy to take your pets on long walks around the neighborhood and play with them along the way. I live near lots of dog parks and large grassy areas that are perfect for play.

About: I absolutely LOVE animals and have been caring for them for as long as I remember. My experience with pet sitting and dog walking has taught me how to be responsible, patient, and attentive to their needs. I understand how important it is to provide reliable care and make sure pets feel safe and happy. This passion and experience make me confident that I can bring the same dedication and care to the role of a paid canvasser, where connecting with people and showing genuine commitment is key. I’m currently a college student, but I can easily fit pet care into my daily schedule and remain flexible to accommodate different needs. I’m reliable and committed to providing the best care possible, making sure pets get the attention and love they deserve no matter how busy things get. When caring for pets in a clients home I am very big on respecting the space i’m working in, while also doing my best to provide adequate care to the pet.
“As first-time Rover users, we chose Alexandra and all we can say is Alexandra is the best! She is extremely prompt & communicative and was eager to help us navigate the app and Rover support when we realized we were being charged holiday fee outside of the holiday period. You can tell she genuinely cares about the pets she cares for while the owners are away. Thanks Alex!”

About: I’ve always had family pets. We’ve adopted several dogs, young and old, over the years. We currently do not have our own pets, but understand how important it is to feel relaxed when traveling, knowing your furry family is taken care of while away. I am self-employed and work from home. This allows me to be very accommodating when watching your pets and/or home. My wife is an RN and would be able to step in should my schedule not accommodate a particular situation. I prefer to watch your pets in their routine environment knowing it makes them less anxious while you’re away. Depending on your pet and their disposition, I could also allow them time in our home.
About: I’m a calm, reliable pet sitter with 20+ years of experience caring for cats and dogs. I’m a nursing student, former high school teacher, and CNA, so I’m used to detailed, compassionate care and regular background checks. I don’t board animals in my home (I have five cats), but I come to you for walks, playtime, feeding, overnights, and light meds for easygoing pets. I know how stressful it is to leave your animals, so my goal is to be the trustworthy stand‑in so you can travel or be away knowing your pets are truly looked after with love. My mom is a big mom to everyone who knows her; she is cheery, kind and has had a long career as an aesthetician in New York. We joined forces so that we may be available for your pet's needs while you're away, including better flexibility! I’m currently focused only on nursing school, my schedule is flexible enough that I can usually match your pet's normal routine, so their days stay predictable, calm, and as undisturbed as possible while you’re away. In case I might not be available for the specific hour requested, my mom will! We work together so that you can be sure that your pet(s) will be pampered and well taken care of while you're away! When we care for pets in a client’s home, our focus is on safety, routine, and keeping their environment calm and familiar. We follow the owner’s instructions closely for feeding, walks, medications, and house rules (furniture, crates, leashes, yard, etc.). We keep doors and gates secure at all times, double‑check collars and harnesses before walks, and never let dogs off‑leash. We are comfortable staying overnight (only one of us will stay), doing multiple check‑ins, or longer visits so pets get real company, play, and supervision rather than just a quick food drop. Because of our background, in both healthcare and customer service to clients, we are used to being observant, documenting changes, and taking responsibility seriously, so people can travel knowing their pets and home are being respectfully cared for.
About: I have been around animals my entire life. I adore all animals and really enjoy their company. Having two fur babies of my own I know the importance of having someone you trust take care of them. I would treat your pets as if they were my own. Pets are family and should be treated with love, compassion, and respect. I have taken care of animals of all ages. I can give medication if needed. I would love to spend time with your pets when you are not able to. I currently work part time from home and have a flexible schedule. I would have plenty of time to spoil your fur babies with walks and belly rubs. I can do doggy daycare and boarding almost any day and time as long as your dog is tolerant to other dogs and is up to date on vaccinations. Playtime, walks, snuggles, and whatever else your pups or cats needs are, I am more than happy to supply them with the love and attention they need while you are away.

About: I grew up with 2 dogs and I take care of a cat now that i’m a college student! I love animals and understand the importance of checking on them daily ! I have very open mornings and early afternoons as well as stopping by in the evenings if needed! I work a few hours a day but it’s a very light schedule where I can help fit your pet in! I will always make sure food/water is full, bathroom breaks are taken as well as making sure the house is clean and safe for pets as I know how annoying it is when animals get into things!

About: I was raised with dogs in my family and I am a dog mom of over 15 years and a dog grandma for over 10 years! I have raised various breeds and feel confident caring for your loved ones. I am available for your pet sitting needs. Feel free to reach out with your request and remember to specify any need-to-knows for your fur baby! My dogs are home trained and show great independence. I love to play with their toys and snuggle with them. I have two terriers of my own who have their own bedroom so I can ensure separation of space as needed. I have a large living room and a patio the dogs can also hang out in. I am happy to travel to your space or welcome your dogs into my home.
About: I have had many pets through out my life and got to learn how to work with senior dogs, that includes one of my past dogs, Millie, who was 18 and I learned how to care for her. Not just that, but we adopted our dog Brooklyn when she was a puppy, so through that I learned to care and train a puppy. I know how to care for cats with cleaning their litter box and keeping them engaged. I love walking dogs and playing with them. I am working part time, however my schedule is very open and I can do daily visits with peoples pets. I would make them my priority to take care of them and make them feel comfortable. Also my shifts are only 3 hours so before and after I can visit the fur babies. In my clients home I will make sure that when they go outside I am either watching them from inside or going outside with them to make sure they are safe. I will make sure to play with them and care for them in my clients home.
About: Growing up with dogs and cats, I have a deep understanding of their unique needs and behavior. I know that senior pets require special attention and care, and I am experienced in providing them with the extra care they need to stay comfortable and happy. When it comes to dogs, I am well-versed in different breeds and their specific traits. From high-energy pups to more laid-back breeds, I know how to provide the exercise and stimulation each dog needs to thrive. I also have experience with basic obedience training and can work with your furry friend on good behavior habits. With cats, I know how to provide a calm and comfortable environment for them to feel at home while their owners are away. Whether it's playing with their favorite toys or simply spending quality time with them, I know how to make sure your feline friend is happy and content. Overall, my experience and passion for working with animals set me apart from other sitters. I am dedicated to providing personalized care to each furry friend, ensuring that they receive the love, attention, and specialized care they deserve. As a graduate student with a flexible schedule, pet care easily fits into my daily and weekly routine. I have ample available time to not only take care of my own pets, but to also provide attentive care to other pets in need. Whether it's daily walks, playtime, or feeding and grooming, I am able to accommodate the needs of furry friends throughout the day. As a pet sitter, I am able to care for pets in both my own home and in the client's home. When caring for pets in my own home, I ensure a clean and safe environment with plenty of space for exercise and playtime. I have experience with various breeds and understand their specific needs, such as different feeding requirements or exercise routines. When caring for pets in the client's home, I ensure that I follow their specific instructions for care and maintain a safe and comfortable environment. This includes adhering to feeding schedules, providing regular exercise and playtime, and administering any necessary medication or treatments. I also make sure to keep the home tidy and clean, respecting the client's space and belongings while caring for their furry friend. Overall, I provide attentive and personalized care to ensure the comfort and happiness of all pets in my care.
Sierra Oaks dog parents share their Rover experiences
Aaron was so amazing! He went above and beyond to ensure our dogs and disabled father had everything they needed while we were away. He was only asked to walk the dogs once a day for an hour, but spent extra time and effort to ensure all went well. The dogs loved him and were excited to see him every day. Would absolutely recommend! 100/10!

Emily is great - reliable, communicative and a very calming presence for my pups. They are always excited to see her and are happy and tired after their walks. Emily also keeps an eye on my older girl and brings her back early if she's getting too tuckered out. They even seem to behave themselves with her so she has been a very good influence.
