“Philip was an amazing dog and house sitter for us while we were out of the country for 5 days. He took great care of both of our pups and we never once had to worry about anything and could truly enjoy our time away. He even cleaned up the house and vacuumed so we came home to a clean house. Not something we asked of him, just something he did and was greatly appreciated. One of our pups is high energy and he took extra time to take her to the park with one of his dogs on most of the days we were gone so they could play, run and chase each other. Our other dog is over 100 lbs and he walked with him each day without a problem. He easily met the needs of both of our dogs. He followed all care instructions and is very responsible. About: I've had dogs my whole life and I currently have two large (70+ lb) dogs. I grew up with small to medium dogs and before my current pups, I dog/cat sat all manner of dogs and cats from friends and family. I am very detail oriented and attentive when providing care for pets in addition to have a calming presence that pets quickly grow fond of. I have experience with crate training, leash training and giving oral and topical medication. I have created extensive care documents for my own dogs and am happy to follow as many instructions for your pets. I have immense flexibility to check in on, walk and house sit your pets throughout the weekdays currently and for weekends, I would review requests on a case by case basis. I'm happy to visit your pets and help with feeding, walking or any other specific care you need while you're away. I really enjoy playing with dogs, especially if they like fetch! I enjoy really long walks and can even run with your dogs if your dog needs more exercise. Otherwise, I'm happy to cozy up with your pet and I can even stay overnight if needed.

About: I grew up on a "farm" with chickens, horses, cats, and dogs and have grown to be a bit of a crazy cat lady. “I dropped off my 7 lb chihuahua, Molly, for a daycare session with Hana yesterday, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! I’ll admit I was really nervous at first, Molly is tiny, and there were two other dogs there, one of whom was super excited to meet a new friend. So much energy can make Molly hesitant, but Hana immediately stepped in with calm, confident leadership. She set clear boundaries to help everyone settle down, which made me feel so much more comfortable. Throughout the day, she sent me several videos showing Molly relaxed and happy, calmly hanging out with the other dogs and going for a nice walk. By the end of the day, Molly was curled up on the couch with Hana, her husband, and her two new friends, a huge sign of trust from my usually cautious little dog! Danielle was very responsive and kept me informed the day Heath was in her care.”
About: I’ve always had family pets. We’ve adopted several dogs, young and old, over the years. We currently do not have our own pets, but understand how important it is to feel relaxed when traveling, knowing your furry family is taken care of while away. I am self-employed and work from home. This allows me to be very accommodating when watching your pets and/or home. My wife is an RN and would be able to step in should my schedule not accommodate a particular situation. I prefer to watch your pets in their routine environment knowing it makes them less anxious while you’re away. Depending on your pet and their disposition, I could also allow them time in our home.

That said, a boarding pet is most comfortable when they have their own bed or blanket brought with them, which must be flea/pest-free and clean. ~A collar with tags and leash are required. Harnesses are also recommended. ~Due to landlord restrictions, I can't accept pets in my home over 35 lbs or certain "dangerous" breeds (insurance rules, unfortunately). ~I use only non-toxic, natural, and eco-friendly cleaners and pest repellents for the safety of your pets and the environment. Everywhere: ~I stay alert to your pets' social cues, respecting their boundaries and addressing their needs. I provide stimulating opportunities to explore and burn off energy in a safe and respectful manner.

About: I’m a calm, reliable pet sitter with 20+ years of experience caring for cats and dogs. I’m a nursing student, former high school teacher, so I’m used to detailed, compassionate care and regular background checks. I don’t board animals in my home (I have five cats), but I come to you for walks, playtime, feeding, overnights, and light meds for easygoing pets. I keep doors and gates secure at all times, double‑check collars and harnesses before walks, and never let dogs off‑leash. I am comfortable staying overnight, doing multiple check‑ins, or longer visits so pets get real company, play, and supervision rather than just a quick food drop. Because of my background healthcare and education, I am used to being observant, documenting changes, and taking responsibility seriously, so people can travel knowing their pets and home are being respectfully cared for.
About: I’ve pet sat for friends and family since I was a kid! I regularly house sat for my neighbors for a few years before they moved, and worked on rover from 2022-2024 mostly dropping in on cats. Im currently working part time and work 2-4 8 hr shifts a week. I’m an early riser and love getting out of bed in the morning for cool and long walks. I’m home often and have lots of time for bathroom and play breaks. I keep a clean space and love exploring new parts of Sacramento! I’d be happy to take your pets on long walks around the neighborhood and play with them along the way. I live near lots of dog parks and large grassy areas that are perfect for play.

One of our pups is high energy and he took extra time to take her to the park with one of his dogs on most of the days we were gone so they could play, run and chase each other.
