About: Hello there! My name is Sammy and I have been around animals all of my life and they have inspired me in so many different ways. I have been managing doggy daycare/boarding facilities for a little over 3 years now so I guess you can say pet care is my specialty! About: I love absolutely love dogs! I work from home as a Generative AI associate so my schedule is very flexible and ideal for taking care of your dog when you're busy or away. I'm available mornings, afternoons, or evenings, basically whenever you need. And my apartment is located in Shockhoe Bottom near two parks, ideal for walks. I grew up with Lhasa Apso pups (Cassie and Teddy) and have been dog-sitting and dog-walking for about 5 years. I've taken care of a variety of breeds, ranging from a Chinese crested to a boxer-pitbull mix. I'm a very compassionate, gentle, and patient person. I love spending time with dogs and look forward to meeting yours! :) I work from home, so pet care fits into my schedule super easily. I can take dogs out for potty breaks and walks as needed. I live in an apartment, so my living situation better aligns with smaller dog breeds. But park proximity still allows for walks and outside time.

I have taken care of pets from different backgrounds and families and am willing to adjust and accommodate to any environment that is needed for the pet I currently work a full time job in Short Pump and commute home to the city. I am able to work around pet parents schedules if given enough notice in advance, and I appreciate those willing to work with my own schedule as well. No access to a yard for pups, and I do not have the space to accommodate for pups, therefore for boarding purposes I can only care for cats. I have an extra litter box, toys, and treats for your pet. I carry a spare leash and use appropriate sturdy leash, collar and harness. I was a dog handler at a dog boarding facility for over a year and a half, have worked at a veterinary clinic, and have volunteered at an animal shelter. About: I’ve lived with and taken care of dogs for the last four years. I started fostering dogs in 2022, and adopted a puppy of my own last winter. I’ve worked with severely traumatized and scared dogs and am also comfortable walking energetic puppies. Happy to help :). I am unfortunately allergic to cats. I’m a therapist in Richmond, but am currently between jobs and have a very flexible schedule at the moment! I’m looking forward to connecting :) I have a German shepherd / Siberian husky mix who has endless energy. We spend a lot of time walking, running, hanging at the dog park or fields where she can run and sniff to her hearts content. Happy to do the same with your pup. About: I have always loved animals and never come across a dog or animal I didn't like. I have two dogs that are truly my babies, and I treat any dog I come across as I would my own.
