About: I’ve had many pets throughout my life! I’ve had dogs, cats, a bunny and a hedgehog! I’ve worked for an independent pet sitter before! I’ve taken a couple training classes with my own fur babies so I know a little bit about training. I’ve helped nurse kittens as well! I work M-F 8am-5/6pm & have weekends off. I do sometimes change my work schedule around for pet visits so I charge a cancellation fee for cancellations that are 2 days before. My own pets are kenneled throughout the day when no one is home. They go outside regularly about every 2 hours when someone is home. I feed them early morning & when I get home from work. We work through our training exercises daily! I take care of my clients pets however they have asked me to and treat them as if they are my own fur babies! Your pets will know nothing but love & fun when I’m with them!
About: Dogs are our family, and I understand that small breeds have their own quirks and attention needed. I have been a small dog owner for over a decade and have experience with administering medication. I have a highly flexible schedule because I am retired from the Air Force. Your dog will receive my undivided attention because I only accept one client at a time. I promise that In terms of walks, feedings, and playtime, I can adapt to any schedule your dog may require. My primary goal is to ensure that your pet is familiar with his/her environment. In addition to minimizing stress and keeping the pet's normal routine intact. Safety is also a high priority for me while caring for your fur baby. I will ensure to keep you updated with photos.

About: I've had my own cats for almost 6 years, I've volunteered at the Belleville Area Humane Society for around 4 months, and I do occasional dogsitting and housesitting for family friends when needed. I have a summer job that starts on May 26th, and I have training from 9-4 on May 17th and 23rd. I'm unsure of which days I'll be working yet, so I will let you know when I can what my schedule will be. I will be completely free on weekends aside from outside events. I appreciate detailed instructions on any specifics needed when caring for your pets, such as medications, feeding times, bathroom breaks, regular walks, or any other schedule they need.

About: I have been around pets my entire life, so taking care of animals comes easy to me! I am experienced at both house sitting and home visits. I have taken care of kittens and senior animals, ensuring they always feel safe and happy. I am a full time college student looking for work over summer break, giving me plenty of time to help out! You can trust that I am efficient when it comes to taking care of your pets. I have plenty of tools to take your fur babies on a day of fun! With both a pet stroller and leashes, I can ensure cats and dogs get some nice fresh air.
About: For years my neighbors have relied on me to take care of their four dogs when they are away for weekend trips or even for trips that last over 2 months. Each one had their own personality and I was able to adapt to it and get along with them well. Over the years I have also had my own pets and have taken care of others. I have taken care of animals from cats, snakes, guinea pigs and most of all dogs. I am patient and contempt with taking care of dogs. In all, I've had a lot of experience with animals! I adore animals all the like and have had the best experiences taking care of lovely pets. I'm a part time worker but that's only on the weekends as I have night school. That leaves me plenty of time in the day during the week and weekends to check on your fur babies. I will be able to drop in later at night at around 9:30-11 p.m. If ever in emergencies, I have a fenced yard that is very very roomy for a dog who loves to run around and play outside. I am more than happy to drop into the clients home and even help clean and pick up after the place for comfortable living for their fur baby. I don't make messes and will no matter what pick up after myself. I will always address to the client in emergencies.
About: I’ve cared for dogs my whole life. You can rest assured your pups, big and small, will get all the love and attention while you’re away. I currently work full-time, Monday through Friday, but have three pups of my own at home and can board additional pups overnight during the week and can do daytime walks on weekends. I have a fenced in yard and keep your pets separated from my household pets unless they are long-time visitors and we know everyone gets along well.
“Sterling was polite, professional and a blessing to all of us (pups included) as I recovered from surgery and could not walk my babies. Always prompt, we received timely communication throughout his period of service. We will definitely request Sterling again. My girls will miss him!”

About: I have been surrounded with dogs since I was born! My family had a golden retriever when I was younger, and we currently have an 11-year old corgi mix, an 8-year old labradoodle, and a 5-year old golden retriever. Finnley, the five year old golden, is my personal dog who I trained, walked, cleaned up after, and took care of. In addition, I lived with a 3-year old boxer last year who I helped take care of and spent a lot of time with. Besides my personal pet experience, I volunteered at the Partners for Pets shelters multiple times where I took care of dogs and cats. I also frequently take advantage of the Adopt a Dog for a Day option at the Oxford Animal Rescue Center whenever I feel overwhelmed or have a free day. Besides volunteering, I had a personal business at 15/16 where I watched both kids and animals for families in my neighborhood. I took care of multiple breeds and ages of dogs, cats, hamsters, and fish. My availability is completely open until June 1st, when I will start a part time job at WashU! With that said, I am still available any weekday after 4, and all day Saturday and Sunday!! At my house, all of my dogs are trained to stay in the yard. All three get treats when they come in (because they are such good boys) and are fed twice daily. My older dog has gum issues that makes his teeth painful to use, so I put his food in water and let it soften so he is able to eat it pain-free. For walks, the two big dogs go on a joint leash and the smaller dog goes on a leash by himself. Distance wise, I take into account if the ground is hot on their paws and the temperature outside to determine how long the walk will be. We love to go to dog parks and play, as well as cuddle and lay out in the sun together.

About: I’ve had and been around dogs all my life! I currently have a 9 year old dog who I adopted at 4 months old and she is my best friend. I’m the go to dog sitter for my family and friends and have watched dogs of varying ages and sizes and have loved them all. Your dog would be treated like one of my own with lots of love and care! I currently work from home on a part time basis and am a homebody in general so I’ll have plenty of time to care for your babies. Your pets comfort and happiness is my priority so I can follow care directions easily. I’m a fan of walks, lots of potty breaks, play time and snuggles- whatever your dog needs from me, I’m ready and willing!
“I cannot recommend Matthew enough for his exceptional care and attention to detail when it comes to taking care of furry friends. Knowing that your beloved pet is being looked after with such love and care allows you to enjoy your time away without worry. I loved the pics provided and updates. He really made him feel loved and part of his family while dropping in.”

About: Hi! My name is Nikki and I’ve lived with dogs and cats since I was a toddler. I always loved helping my parents and grandma with our many pets while growing up, but it wasn’t until I graduated high school that I decided to start expanding to pet-sitting for my friends as well! I was always happy to spend time with and gain knowledge from their furry friends. Two years after high school, I adopted a sweet husky puppy. He was just 8 weeks old when I took him home and I quickly realized raising a puppy is A LOT of work (but worth it!!). After a long journey of trial and error and 4 training classes together, he’s the best friend I could ask for. Three years later my dad rescued 3 more husky puppies, who I also helped raise! They have definitely taught me patience, how to deal with a semi-reactive dogs, and has made me confident in my ability to care for large breeds. I’ve looked after a variety of breeds, big and small, timid and reactive. I’m experienced in handling high energy dogs, young puppies who are still learning, and older dogs who need extra care and patience. I’ve also looked after cats, including those that needed help with medications and asthma treatment. Whether your pets like to walk and play or just need someone to hangout with while you’re gone, I can do it all. I will care for your beloved pets in your home and follow all your wants and needs! I’m currently working part-time, so I have plenty of time to play with your pets! I’m currently available any time Wednesday-Friday and on most Saturdays. I like to know all the details about your pets every day life so I can help keep their routines as normal as possible. Whether that includes certain times for feeding, walking, medications, etc. I also like to know if they are reactive, timid, or have any other quirks you want me to know about!
About: Pets give us light in our lives, they love us unconditionally. Hi, my name is August, and I want to help you care for your four, three, and two legged furry family members! I understand the need to make sure your pets are taken care of while you're away; whether it be for a few hours or a few weeks, it still feels like forever. I am here to make things easier for you and your pet while you spend time away from each other. My experience comes from years of caring for my own dog, cat, and a few exotic pets as well as caring for my clients pets since 2017. During the time I watch your pup or kitty, for however long, I consider them my priority, and will treat them with that same love and care I would with my own family. You can also look forward to quality photo updates of your pet, as I double as a photographer when I can. Many of my clients tell me their dog or cat warms up to me faster than others, that they usually have trouble with people but not with me. No matter the case, when I meet your pet they will sense my energy, nature, and presence, and as a result, your dog or cat will feel very comfortable with me. 🙂 I look forward to taking care of you furbaby! I have a flexible schedule and this is my main job. I am home most of the day, if not all day, and never gone for more than a few hours. When I take care of your furry family members in the comfort of their home, I make sure they feel at ease by taking my time with them, letting them acclimate, and making sure they know they are safe. I tend to try to perform the same routines as my clients to create a sense of familiarity and consistency in the home. When I'm dogsitting in my home, I take a similar approach and make sure to acclimate them slowly and maintain the same routine they would have in their own home! I take one client at a time for this and maintain safety in my home.

I know how busy life can get and I am here to fill in the gaps to care for your pet’s needs when you are away. Speaking of busy I make being a mom my number one priority so at this time I will only be able to accept task that will allow me to bring my baby along. “Mallory was so awesome with Butters’ walk. She gives me updates every walk and she made sure to read Butters needs for walks during these hot days. Thank you so so much. hope to have Butters’ walks again with you soon.”

About: I’ve worked with dogs from puppies to seniors. I have also worked with dogs who have anxiety/separation anxiety. I’ve worked with family and friends dogs overnight and throughout the day while away on vacations or long road trips. I’m currently a recent law school graduate and will be studying for the bar. I will have a flexible schedule and availablity! So I’ll be able to provide the best service for your pet! My one dog is older and is trained to be home alone outside of a kennel. My other dog is kennel trained. My dogs each have their own food bowls and I’m good with keeping them separated for meals. My cat is also allowed to roam and is fed twice daily with her medicated food. She has a chicken allergy so I know how to check and read labels for allergies. She has been on both wet and dry food. I also give treats to my dogs and cat at times too. I love to play with my dogs and cat; as well as give them snuggles and have them lay with me as we watch tv.

Jordan was absolutely great for our dog. Our boy is a trouble-maker, and he doesn't get along with everybody, but he loved Jordan right away. Jordan is punctual, responsible, and great with dogs. Highly recommend! We'll definitely contact him if we need help again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
