About: I grew up with dogs of all sizes and breeds and have always been a huge animal lover!, I’m pretty experienced in a wide range of animals, and with various medical conditions and needs. I hope to have the best time with your furry friend(s) and look forward to making it fun for them too!! I’m currently wide open! So, unless I’m going out of town, I’m available. Just check in with me and I’ll let you know if there are any conflicts. Very safe home, I have a little boy and a baby, so safety is key! I just ask that any furry friend that comes over is kid friendly to be safe for everyone in my home.

“Kyani treated my dog as if she were her own fur baby! My pet was VERY well cared for, and I got detailed updates and pictures for each visit. Definitely planning to book with Kyani again if she’s available!”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my love for animals and my hands-on experience with dogs of all ages. Growing up, my family had two dogs, so I have cared for pets through every stage of life, from puppies to senior dogs. After caring for both, I gained valuable experience in dog walking and watching. Overall, I am confident that I can adapt to each dog’s individual needs. I am also very reliable and great at communicating. I will make it a priority to updates the parents with messages and even photos. I am currently a college-athlete, so during the school year, I do have to dedicate time each day for class and practice. However, I want to make time for this because I really enjoy spending time with animals. Since I can not be with my own, pet walking/sitting is the perfect opportunity! When I care for a pet in a client’s home, I would follow their routine as closely as possible so that their pet feels comfortable. For dog walks, I would make sure to match the dog’s energy level and needs. As for their safety, I am always alert and off my phone so that they have my full attention.

About: I've had my own cats for almost 6 years, I've volunteered at the Belleville Area Humane Society for around 4 months, and I do occasional dogsitting and housesitting for family friends when needed. I am currently going to college and will be occupied with classes Mondays-Thursdays in the mid afternoons. Aside from that, I will be doing work studies for my degree so I will let you know when I can what my schedule will be. I will be completely free on weekends aside from outside events. I appreciate detailed instructions on any specifics needed when caring for your pets, such as medications, feeding times, bathroom breaks, regular walks, or any other schedule they need.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 12 years old. I can play with them, pick up after them, bathe them and make sure they’re happy and well fed. And I can take the dog on short or long walks and make sure they’re happy and safe. Also for house sitting I’ll make sure the house is clean and any messes the dog makes is cleaned up as well I’m a student at an online university, but I am taking a break from perusing my BS in forensic accounting. So I have plenty of time to watch your pets. I have two dogs that I take care of with my family. And they are well cared for and I play with them throughout the day and feed them when they need to be fed.
“Booked Lindsay for a quick mid-day walk when I was going to be out of the home a little longer than normal. She was quick to respond for the booking, arrived on time, and definitely went the extra mile with Bella. You can tell she is an “animal person” and made sure my pet was loved on for the short time they were together! Highly recommend!”

About: I have taken care of families pets and pet sat for family friends and neighbors for years. I adore animals and more than anything else want to make sure they're happy and comfortable. I'm currently a self employed hairstylist, but my schedule is very flexible, which makes it very easy to fit pets into my day and work around pet sitting As a rule follower, I intend to follow every direction given for your pets care. I want to prioritize your pets safety and comfort, especially when taking care of them in their own home.
About: For years my neighbors have relied on me to take care of their four dogs when they are away for weekend trips or even for trips that last over 2 months. Each one had their own personality and I was able to adapt to it and get along with them well. Over the years I have also had my own pets and have taken care of others. I have taken care of animals from cats, snakes, guinea pigs and most of all dogs. I am patient and contempt with taking care of dogs. In all, I've had a lot of experience with animals! I adore animals all the like and have had the best experiences taking care of lovely pets. I'm a part time worker but that's only on the weekends as I have night school. That leaves me plenty of time in the day during the week and weekends to check on your fur babies. I will be able to drop in later at night at around 9:30-11 p.m. If ever in emergencies, I have a fenced yard that is very very roomy for a dog who loves to run around and play outside. I am more than happy to drop into the clients home and even help clean and pick up after the place for comfortable living for their fur baby. I don't make messes and will no matter what pick up after myself. I will always address to the client in emergencies.
“This is my first time using Rover for my senior dog and Keena is wonderful. She has always been on time, takes him for the full time booked and Charlie is happy when she brings him back. I will continue to use her.”

About: Pets give us light in our lives, they love us unconditionally. Hi, my name is August, and I want to help you care for your four, three, and two legged furry family members! I understand the need to make sure your pets are taken care of while you're away; whether it be for a few hours or a few weeks, it still feels like forever. I am here to make things easier for you and your pet while you spend time away from each other. My experience comes from years of caring for my own dog, cat, and a few exotic pets as well as caring for my clients pets since 2017. During the time I watch your pup or kitty, for however long, I consider them my priority, and will treat them with that same love and care I would with my own family. You can also look forward to quality photo updates of your pet, as I double as a photographer when I can. Many of my clients tell me their dog or cat warms up to me faster than others, that they usually have trouble with people but not with me. No matter the case, when I meet your pet they will sense my energy, nature, and presence, and as a result, your dog or cat will feel very comfortable with me. 🙂 I look forward to taking care of you furbaby! I have a flexible schedule and this is my main job. I am home most of the day, if not all day, and never gone for more than a few hours. When I take care of your furry family members in the comfort of their home, I make sure they feel at ease by taking my time with them, letting them acclimate, and making sure they know they are safe. I tend to try to perform the same routines as my clients to create a sense of familiarity and consistency in the home. When I'm dogsitting in my home, I take a similar approach and make sure to acclimate them slowly and maintain the same routine they would have in their own home! I take one client at a time for this and maintain safety in my home.

About: I’ve had and been around dogs all my life! I currently have a 9 year old dog who I adopted at 4 months old and she is my best friend. I’m the go to dog sitter for my family and friends and have watched dogs of varying ages and sizes and have loved them all. Your dog would be treated like one of my own with lots of love and care! I currently work from home on a part time basis and am a homebody in general so I’ll have plenty of time to care for your babies. Your pets comfort and happiness is my priority so I can follow care directions easily. I’m a fan of walks, lots of potty breaks, play time and snuggles- whatever your dog needs from me, I’m ready and willing!
“Sterling was polite, professional and a blessing to all of us (pups included) as I recovered from surgery and could not walk my babies. Always prompt, we received timely communication throughout his period of service. We will definitely request Sterling again. My girls will miss him!”

About: Animals have been a huge part of my life since I was young. Growing up in a military family, moving every few years was the norm. The only thing that remained constant for me was my love and dedication to animals. Over the years, I've spent a lot of my free time training them, caring for them and furthering my knowledge. Animals are definitely my special interest lol! These days I call myself mom to 2 dogs and 3 kitties who I absolutely cherish & adore. While I’ve only been on Rover since 2021, my experience extends throughout my whole life and I've developed my own unique skill set through hands-on work, research and passion. Here’s what makes me unique: • I value transparency--you'll always know what’s going on • Certified in CPR & first aid • Skilled in reading dog body language & behavior • Experienced with senior & high-energy pets, shy/fearful animals and separation anxiety • Confident with medication administration (topical, oral, & injections) • Years of fostering animals & volunteer experience, including pregnant mamas and bottle babies • Knowledgeable in various training methods--I've trained my own dogs in obedience & even competed in dog agility for years. Not to brag, but my pup knows over 60+ tricks! :) • Well-versed in various dog & cat dietary needs--including raw diets. • Comfortable with exotic pets (birds, turtles, rabbits, ferrets, rats, fish, sugar gliders, etc.) As someone who has been on the owner side of Rover, I know how hard it is to entrust someone with your pets. I'm more than happy to follow your pets' usual routine and keep them as comfortable as possible while you're away. I also plan to provide frequent photos/updates of your babies for your peace of mind! :) Every home and situation is different, so my rates aren’t set in stone. If you have a special request such as needing constant 24 hour care for your pet, questions, or just want to talk things through, feel free to reach out. I'd love to see if we're a good fit for each other! I’m currently going to school online so I’ll have plenty of time to devote to your babies! Typically, I have regular drop-in clients scheduled throughout the week so I tend to be out and about during the day. If needed we can discuss this more—I’m more than happy to accommodate your pets’ schedule to the best of my ability! I’m here to make your pets as comfortable and happy as possible while you’re away. So whatever your typical routine looks like, we can make that happen!
About: I’ve cared for dogs my whole life. You can rest assured your pups, big and small, will get all the love and attention while you’re away. I currently work full-time, Monday through Friday, but have three pups of my own at home and can board additional pups overnight during the week and can do daytime walks on weekends. I have a fenced in yard and keep your pets separated from my household pets unless they are long-time visitors and we know everyone gets along well.
About: I am a lifelong pet lover and proud dog mom of two! With 8+ years of experience, I know every pet has their own personality—whether they’re zoomie champions or cuddle pros. I’d love to give your furry family the same love and care I give my own! As a full-time remote worker with a flexible schedule, I have plenty of time to care for pets throughout the day. I take regular breaks for walks, playtime, and check-ins, ensuring pets get the attention they need. On weekends, I’m available for overnight stays to provide extra care and companionship. I treat every pet and home with the same care and respect as my own. I follow all client instructions closely, from feeding schedules to favorite walking routes, to keep pets comfortable and stress-free. Safety is my top priority—I ensure secure doors, leashes, and environments at all times. I also provide regular updates with photos, so you can feel at ease knowing your pet is happy and well cared for!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
