“Melissa was perfect for my big ole puppy! Made him feel right at home. She kept me updated throughout my vacation had no worries whatsoever! He's totally calm and super loving now (before he was a total maniac lol ) her and her husband also got his jumping under control as well. I will definitely be using her again in the future! Highly recommend!!”

“Our Lili had the best time with Matthew! We got daily updates and “glamour shots”. It was a huge relief to know she was well cared for while we traveled. Booked again for Christmas!!”

“Starr and her family welcomed and took care of Draco as just one of their own furry pets. Draco had a blast playing ball, going on walks and play with their kiddos and pets. Starr sent such cute amazing pictures that made you feel like you were hanging with them for the weekend. I recommend and would have Draco stay with them any time. Thank you to you and your family for welcoming him into your house.”

“Best experience ever! I would recommend Jessica over and over to any and all! As a military family it is hard to find someone to trust with your furry family members but our pup had the best life with cuddles and treats the whole time. He was cared for like he was one of her own.”

“Bianca was a wonderful host on a short notice trip. She took great care of my 5 month old goldendoodle and gave me updates throughout the visit. Her dogs also got along well with mine and I think they became good buddies. Thanks, Bianca!”

“This was my first time needing a sitter and I was pretty nervous about it. I've never had to leave my sweet boy anywhere other than the vet for a day. Carol was very accommodating. She allowed me to see where he would be, answered any questions I had and sent pictures to me to assure me he was ok. I was grateful for that. That helped ease my mind. I would definitely use her again if it should become necessary again. She's awesome!!”

“So communicative!! If I need to board my cat again, will definitely be requesting her!! She made this whole experience of me having to board my cat for the first time so much easier!”

“Ariana was amazing! Felt completely comfortable letting my pupper stay with her. She asks great questions to really know your dog and what makes them comfortable. Would always recommend and can’t wait to book again.”

“Memphis loved her boarding experience with Aurora! I was sent with pictures, videos, and updates throughout the stay which was greatly appreciated. We will definitely be booking with Aurora again!”

“Our dog Dobby just finished her first tryout stay with Daniela. It seems like she had a good time and there weren't any big problems. Daniela kept us in the loop and sent lots of pics during the days. Dobby seems pretty happy with her stay, so we are as well. We will definitely be getting in touch with Daniela again for further dog watching.”

About: I have had a dog for 8 years and am considering adopting a sibling. This will be a great way to not only find some wonderful new doggy friends and families but to also acclimate my dog to having another dog in the house. I have a large fenced in yard and am home on weekends so my dog and I would welcome some company! I work full time during the week and am in the office 3 days so I work from home on Fridays and have weekends free! I have a fenced in yard and friendly dog who would love some company. I do also have a crate so can crate your pup as well or they can sleep in a bed, on the couch, wherever they are comfortable!
“Our two puppies stayed with Christina while we traveled out of town for 6 days. It was our first time leaving them, and with them only being 4 and 6 months, we didn’t want to board them at a traditional kennel. I was thrilled to find Christina on Rover. After reading reviews, communicating through the app, and having a meet and greet in their yard a week prior to the stay, I felt comfortable leaving our pups in their care. She communicated with me daily while we were gone, sending pictures and updates. My dogs seemed happy and did well in their environment. I would have them stay here again if the need arises.”

“Taylor was awesome I would recommend her as a top tier dog sitter my baby just loved her family and they took really good care of her I will definitely use Taylor in the future thank you Taylor for taking such good care of Zara😊”

“Montarius was very patient with my dogs(3). They can be a hand full but Montarius handled them very well. He reassured me the entire time I was skeptical with using the rover app.”

“Stephanie was a wonderful sitter! She accepted a last minute booking for our two dogs and kept us updated throughout the whole time we were gone. Our dogs were very well taken care of and we will certainly be boarding with Stephanie again!”

“Ashley and her family were amazing! My dog had a great time in her house. She sent the right amount of pictures and Lola always looked like she was having a great time with them. I will definitely contact her again in the future. Highly recommended!!!”

Matt is a braver soul than me! He took my pups over the 4th of July weekend. He always sends detailed updates of their days. His house is clean and well taken care of and his kids are charming and friendly with the dogs! I have two large dogs (60+ lbs) so it's always a gamble how they will react when they see a small pony with teeth boynding at/around them! 100% definately recomend this sitter!

Cassandra was an amazing sitter for Sandy! We were nervous leaving Sandy for 3 weeks but she had a great time with Cassandra and her dogs. We received regular photos and videos, and she made sure all Sandy’s needs were well taken care of. We will definitely be using Cassandra again in the future!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
