Enjoying Life
We live close to downtown Belleville,, Collinsville, & Fairview Heights. We are not far from Mid america airport, and about 35 mins from Lambert. We can even meet to pick up your pet if that is more convenient for you. I am very involved with my pets and the pets we provide care for. We have a large, fenced in yard and live in a quiet neighborhood perfect for walks! I love walking with the dogs and am great with daily care, bathing, and just love in general. I am also a professional photographer so I enjoy trying to capture unique images of the pets we watch. Everyone says I have a huge heart & I know I get that attribute from my mother. Growing up, we ALWAYS had a new pet friend who we rescued or took care of. I have a very flexible schedule since I am self employed. If I am not home, my husband or adult aged son will be. Someone is almost always home & we make a great team. My dogs get along great with every other kind of animal there is (we’ve rescued A LOT!!). We recently moved back to this area from Northern kentucky where we had all sorts of animals on our farm. We have a lot of patience and experience with many, many kinds of animals. We mostly work from home, so someone is almost always at home with all of the animals. We try to keep your pet’s schedule similar or the same as they’re used to at your home. We are very much a pet friendly household. We throw blankets over our furniture and let the pups chill with us on the couch.

Cassandra was an amazing sitter for Sandy! We were nervous leaving Sandy for 3 weeks but she had a great time with Cassandra and her dogs. We received regular photos and videos, and she made sure all Sandy’s needs were well taken care of. We will definitely be using Cassandra again in the future!

I booked a short notice stay with Cassandra for my 3 month old puppy. She did not hesitate to say yes! My Artie had a great time with her dogs and her family. She was responsive and sent pictures and a video. I will not hesitate to book with her again should the need arise!
Our pup is so comfortable in Cassandra’s welcoming home. She has lots of space in the yard to play ball. We receive pics daily and updates on how she’s doing. I miss her terribly while I’m away, but always know our girl is taken care of.
Duffey pup had a great time with Cassandra and her pups! Lots of play time and she was one tired pup when she got home. Highly recommend!
We’ve lost count of the number of stays Eva’s had at “Camp Cassandra’s” and we’re sure she’ll have many more!

Schedule
I am self employed and have a very flexible schedule, so someone is almost always at home with the pets. The only time we would leave the pets alone typically, would be for church or possibly a grocery visit.

A typical day
We are a very much an outdoor family and play games frequently or are playing outdoors as opposed to electronic devices all of the time. My children (who are older) love animals just as much as I do and we’ve pet sat for many, many families as well as rescued injured animals or strays and have gotten them proper vet care and then found them great homes! Any photos you see of other animals besides my two dogs & our cat, are all animals we’ve either rescued or watched. We have a great road to take walks on, & I would never allow an animal to run unleashed unless we are playing in our fenced area of our property.
