“Taylor took wonderful care of our elder cat this week. She also watered my plants and brought in my mail. She communicated with me every day.. She washed all the cats dishes and left my kitchen spotless. She’s very responsible and I’ll be booking her again.”

“Kari was excellent with my 11yo diabetic cat! She was able to monitor his food intake and give him insulin shots when needed. When he didn't eat right away, she was able to hang around a little so the shot could be administered. I can't tell you how much I appreciated that! The daily pics were great too. Would definitely use her again.”

“This was the second time Sydney watched my cat and she was very well taken care of! She sent great pictures while I was out of town and Zoey was happy when I got home. Thanks again, Sydney!”

“Josie is amazing! She is such a good sport when my pup climbs all over her like a billy goat to give her kisses and hugs! Also it’s so cute when her son comes and gives my pup extra pets too!”

About: Hello! I am home for the summer and looking to spend my time with adorable pets and show them some love! I have been taking care of my two dogs since the 5th grade and I just graduated college. I love going for walks and playing fetch. I’m also content chilling on the couch and watching doggies nap. Most days I don’t have any obligations throughout the whole day and can work my daily tasks and errands around walking or checking on dogs. I always make sure my pets have water available all the time, especially in the summer. My dogs usually go on a leash when they are outside, and I feel most comfortable walking dogs with a leash. My dogs eat at the same time every day and get lots of attention when inside.
“Anna was a wonderful gift to caring for my senior dog. She came over on an additional day, just to learn about all of the complexities involved. She corresponded well with me while I was on the other side of the country. It helped keep my anxiety over my beloved pet way down! Anna is professional and detail oriented, and I would gladly hire her again.”

About: Hi I'm Ceara, a little about me is I have 2 of my own that I treat as if i birthed them. A hyper loving 1 1/2 year old german shepherd labsky, and a beautiful 1year old domestic short haired cat. I have always had a love for animals, i have lots of experience with them throughout the years. I have experience dog walking, dog sitting, kennel care, and more! I promise your furbaby is safe with me! I will always treat your animals like my own, and i'll be sure to give them extra love and care while they are with me. Reach out any time, tell me about your pet and what they like to do! Right now I am in between in jobs due to relocating with my husband here to Pennsylvania since he is in the Navy. Therefore i am just a stay at home fur mom for the time being. I'd love to take your fur baby on long walks, or go to a nearby dog park to have some fun! I usually bring some toys with me to play with on walks!
About: I received my Bachelor's Degree in Animal Studies from Wilson College. I was a Kennel Technician at a boarding facility as well as a doggy daycare for a few years. I am currently a Veterinary Assistant at an Animal Clinic. I enjoy taking care of animals and providing the best care. I work full time during the week, but I am available weekends and can provide pet care during the evenings after work depending on location. Depending on the needs of the animal, I will provide the proper care as per the owners request. I like to know specific details to make everyone feel comfortable.
About: I’ve been a dog owner my entire life and have had experience owning other pets such as geckos, cats, and snakes. I’ve been a pet sitter for a little over two years. My true passion for pet sitting comes from my desire to be accompanied by them, dogs specifically. I work with dogs of all ages, temperaments, and personalities. Dogs of all backgrounds tend to gravitate towards me and I have never had any negative interactions. While studying for my undergrad, I was actually in charge of all the live animal specimens present on the University grounds. Feeding, exercise, and handling/care were done daily, which can explain my comfortability and familiarity with pet care. I currently am home as I finish my masters degree online so my daily schedule is fairly free. I workout and do part-time contract work when I am not doing schoolwork. I’m extremely flexible and will be willing to meet your needs as best as possible. Simply put, I treat the pets like they are my own. I ensure they are met with sufficient attention, exercise, nutrition, and safety while under my supervision. Minimizing stress is my biggest concern (my dog has separation anxiety so I know how it can be). I’ve found it helpful in the past to use my own dog as a bridge between myself and the client’s pet, as his presence tends to build confidence and reassurance.
About: I have had dogs my whole life and have been pet-sitting for friends, family, and neighbors since age 12. I have taken many dog training classes and understand dogs’ needs and body language. I am a therapist so I have a good understanding of behavioral principles and understand how to be patient while building trust. I require a meet and greet before confirming a booking so your dog is familiar with me/my house and we can ensure they get along with my dogs. I work from home full-time, and typically take a break every 3 hours, at which point the dogs are let out into the fenced-in backyard. I can walk dogs in the morning (around 8 or 9) and/or the evening (around 5 or 6). I have a fenced-in yard and two very friendly and easy-going dogs (50lbs and 75lbs). I am able to crate dogs if needed (you provide the crate) or separate dogs in different areas of the house if any dogs need a break from the others. As I view dogs as part of the family, they are allowed on furniture and beds and receive plenty of attention and snuggles.
About: Ever since I was a very little girl, animals have been the object of my attention. My parents still love to tell stories about how as soon as I could walk, as little as 2, I would walk into pet shops and ask to hold snakes and other “scary” animals. I love them all and have had the luxury of either owning or taking care of every kind of pet. I truly mean every— dogs, cats, fish, turtles, lizards, birds (ducks, rescues, etc), tarantulas, frogs, newts, axolotls, rats, mice, hamsters, gerbils, moles, rabbits, squirrels, raccoons, and I’m sure I’m missing some. I’ve also taken care of an extensive array of bugs. Just ask! While I mainly and primarily care for furry friends— I have lots of experience with other pets. :^) I’m currently only working with Rover and with Wag Caregiver, so I am always at home! I spend all of my time at home with other’s people pets. I am almost exclusively at home. I leave to go to the store and run errands, but otherwise, I’m a complete home body. I don’t have a fenced in yard, but I have a very safe and pet friendly neighborhood to walk your dogs. I do plan to move into my first home within the next 6 months, and will have a fenced in yard then. Aside from that, my home is perfectly equipped for your furry (or maybe not so furry!) companions. They are allowed on almost any and all surfaces. Beds, couches, floors, all.
“Camila is great! She came to my apartment to meet them the day before which I think helped a lot. She is gentle and patient and my cats warmed up to her very quickly. I really appreciate the pictures and videos she sent me and I could tell my cats really liked her :)”

About: I have previous experience with pets and have trained and worked with many animals in the past and love to help out with them when I can. I am available during the day when not at school and am available all day during the weekends as I am not working on those days. I have a fenced in yard and have pet-sat many times in my own home and own a dog of my own but have had many and trained many in the past, so I have experience.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 487 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Shermans Dale. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Shermans Dale. On Rover:
- 98% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
