About: I’ve been a dog owner my entire life and have had experience owning other pets such as geckos, cats, and snakes. I’ve been a pet sitter for a little over two years. My true passion for pet sitting comes from my desire to be accompanied by them, dogs specifically. I work with dogs of all ages, temperaments, and personalities. Dogs of all backgrounds tend to gravitate towards me and I have never had any negative interactions. While studying for my undergrad, I was actually in charge of all the live animal specimens present on the University grounds. Feeding, exercise, and handling/care were done daily, which can explain my comfortability and familiarity with pet care. I currently am home as I finish my masters degree online so my daily schedule is fairly free. I workout and do part-time contract work when I am not doing schoolwork. I’m extremely flexible and will be willing to meet your needs as best as possible. Simply put, I treat the pets like they are my own. I ensure they are met with sufficient attention, exercise, nutrition, and safety while under my supervision. Minimizing stress is my biggest concern (my dog has separation anxiety so I know how it can be). I’ve found it helpful in the past to use my own dog as a bridge between myself and the client’s pet, as his presence tends to build confidence and reassurance.

I also will maintain open communication with you regarding any concerns or changes in your pets behavior. I’m currently in online school for my Medical Assistant (MA) license, which gives me a very flexible and open schedule. This allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to your pets throughout the day, including walks, drop-ins, and extended care when needed. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I create a calm, secure environment and closely follow your instructions to maintain their normal routine. “Kari was great with our 2 Great Danes! We were gone over 4th of July and they were so scared of the fireworks, Kari did a great job of consoling them and trying her best to make them feel better. The extra stress really affected our older dog and she had plenty of extra messes to deal with but kept us updated the whole time. She even threw our bedding in the wash before she left. Would book again and highly recommend!”
