“I cannot say enough wonderful things about the dog sitter, Sydney! Leaving your pets and home behind while traveling can be stressful, but from the moment we left, I knew everything was in great hands. Our dogs were incredibly well cared for, loved, and treated like family during our entire trip. We received regular updates, photos, and messages that gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. It was obvious that our sitter genuinely cared about our pets’ happiness, routines, and well-being. Reliable, trustworthy, professional, and caring are just a few words I would use to describe the experience. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for someone to care for their pets and home. We will absolutely be using them again in the future!”

“The bestest!!!!! If you want someone to watch your cats and feel secure they’re being well taken care of, get Hanna!! She is so caring and makes the extra effort to make our babies feel comfortable and content. One of our kitties is very shy and Hanna did a great job of respecting her space but also making sure she’s fed/doing well. The other kitty that loves attention, Hanna made sure to give it to him! In addition, she made sure the water fountain was filled and the litter box clean! We are so appreciative of her and will definitely work with her again and recommend her care!!!”

“10/10 would recommend! High level of communication, honest and trust worthy. I will be hiring Jedan again for any of my overnights and drop ins schedule permitting :).”

“Sydney was great with my older dog. My pup was having health issues and she was thoughtful and communicative. She also left my home I. Excellent condition. I will certainly be calling her again!”

“Sandy was amazing in housesitting and caring for our 9 year Bulldog. She sent pics daily and reassured us that our girl was doing well during our week vacation to Europe. Highly recommend Sandy!”

“Becky did absolutely amazing as a house and dog sitter. She was always in touch and our babies were in love with her. What was really amazing is that she must have a magic touch. Our doggie took to her just about right away and our youngest cat who nobody who is taken care of her has ever seen came out and said hi. For these reasons, I would highly recommend her. The house was in good shape and I felt comfortable and secure having her take care of everything for us. I’m new to this app however I would say if you see her name, then look no further. She is the best.”

“Zandra took great care of our two pups while we were out of town for a few days. Communication was excellent, and she helped further, without us asking, when our friend didn’t arrive on time to get the pups.”

About: I love caring for pets and making sure they feel safe, happy, and comfortable while their owners are away. I have experience with both dogs and cats and can help with feeding, walks, playtime, and keeping up with their daily routines! I treat every pet like they’re my own and always provide dependable, loving care to make their time as special and fun as possible 😊 I work a full-time job Monday through Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm, so weekday early mornings and/or evenings, and then anytime on the weekends I am most available! I have two rescue dogs of my own—Clover, a senior girl, and Mozzie, a young pup—who are the best of friends. They’ve helped each other grow, and caring for them has strengthened my love for animals. They enjoy plenty of playtime, positive reinforcement, and cuddles every day, and I provide the same loving care to every pet I look after.

About: I've taken care of young and old dogs. I've watched family pets for years and have spent a lot of care on specialized research around animals to ensure I give them the best care I can. I love to play with them, never get bored of watching them and ass I started I pay a lot of attention to detail. I can pick up on all those little details in dogs that many sitters will miss. You could not leave your dog with a safer host. I have a very flexible and open schedule right now. I am willing to work whenever and can plan around caring for your pet. It will be my number one priority. I have an apartment that is free of pets right now so I have the space give your pet some extra room without disruption while they stay with me
“Cristy was wonderful with our very energetic lab mix! We truly appreciated the photos and updates. It gave us peace of mind during our night away. We came home to a happy, tired pup.”

“Allyson did an amazing job taking care of Moo Moo for us while we were away. I gave her a lot of advanced warning about Moo Moo not being friendly with other dogs and she followed the proper protocol necessary in order to keep Moo Moo safe. Allyson also left the house in the same condition we left it in. We would definitely book with her again in the future.”

About: I have had dogs all throughout my childhood, and whether it’s small pups or big fluffy ones, I love them all! I also love the outdoors and being active. I am currently a student and I have a lot of free time with only one job working Saturday evenings. I commonly go to the gym in the late morning but I am available mostly every day! I offer pet sitting at your own home, along with stop ins and dog walking, keeping your pet cared for and comfortable! I will carefully follow provided instructions for your pets needs.
“Sadie is amazing! She took my pet sitting request with short notice and was very easy to work with. She made sure to keep me up to date with detailed messages during her time sitting my kitten and even sent me pictures showing him being comfortable and playful around her. She also went above and beyond and did extra things around the house which I appreciated very much. She’s very respectful and professional. I will definitely request her again for my next pet sitting. Thanks Sadie!”

“My pups loved having Kayla look after them. She was very organized and kept track of specific details with them. I got lots of updates, and felt very confident they were in good hands.”

About: I have done dog-sitting for family friends and others for years, including care for cats and dogs with medical issues. I also have my own dog who I am the sole caretaker of. I am a college student and intern for my healthcare program with plenty of flexibility throughout the week, weekends, and even overnights if needed ! I offer services to take your animals out on walks or do pop-in visits! I currently do not offer any pet-sitting services involving bringing them back to my home.
“Brittany is clearly an expert when it comes to pet sitting. She took such great care of my dog Eddie, was quick to respond, and even took the time to clean the place before she left! It brought me such peace of mind to know Eddie was in such good hands!”

About: I have several pets of my own. Over the years I have volunteered with shelters as well as taking care of my own animals. I have dealt with bigger dogs, small dogs, and lots of cats! I love animals and will do whatever I can to ensure a happy and healthy environment! I currently work part time over the summers in Pennsylvania and go to school in Ohio over the rest of the year. I can work in both places, it just depends on what time of year. My account will have my area provided for which one for whichever time of year. Normally I have a 8 hour shift, I do have a couple days off a week and still have plenty of time before and after work to take care of animals. I also have my lunch break. I will follow whatever instructions are provided by the client. I will stick to any dietary needs, exercise needs, and any attention needs the animal has. I am willing to clean litter boxes if it is a cat and obviously I will pick up after a dog on a walk. I keep a very close eye on the animal(s) and make it my primary focus when taking care of them.
“Mikayla was great as always - we trust her with our pups and don’t have to worry about them while we are gone. She sends picture updates and makes sure we know they are well cared for!”

Elizabeth was great! Our dogs, cats, and fish tank were taken care of exceptionally. She last minute was able to administer an ear cream to one of our dogs every day while we were gone. She also helped with watering the outdoor garden. The house was in perfect shape when we came home after a week+, and the pets were perfectly happy!
Allyson did an amazing job taking care of Moo Moo for us while we were away. I gave her a lot of advanced warning about Moo Moo not being friendly with other dogs and she followed the proper protocol necessary in order to keep Moo Moo safe. Allyson also left the house in the same condition we left it in. We would definitely book with her again in the future.

This was my first time booking with Sydney. We were scheduled to go away overnight but ended up needing to come home sooner due to the weather. When I reached out to Sydney about the change of plans, she was more than understanding and was super flexible. I truly appreciated that. She was on time and took care of my crew for the time that she was here. I will happily book with Sydney again!

Kayla has been taking care of our two dogs, a rough coat collie and cattle dog mix for almost 2 years now. Both of them have their very own unique challenges and personalities, sometimes being very high maintenance. Kayla consistently gives them the attention they need and makes sure to communicate regularly when at our home. Kayla not only takes exceptional care of our fur babies but our home as well. I can not recommend Kayla enough for any pet needs you may have.
Tori did an amazing job as always house sitting for our two kitties while we were away for 3 days. She sent photo updates daily, made sure Kat doesn't eat Kit's food lol, and tried new ways to play with them like having Kit sit on a trash bag while dragging it around the room. She is very attentive, responsible, and has a huge heart for taking care of fur babies. She is excellent with cats and even took out our trash and kept the place spotless. This is Tori's 5th time watching our kitties this year. We are so grateful for her.

An awesome young lady!!! Based upon the “smile “ on Rocky’s mug …I’d say he’s got a another besteee! I believe our home is cleaner than when we left! Summer was able to navigate his routine and we communicated well if there were questions. We experienced some travel scheduling changes that I asked if she could accommodate…she immediately responded and made herself available! A+ experience

Lorrie was great with our boys for a week and I’m so happy we found her. She took the time to do a trial drop-in visit with them beforehand since they’re reactive boys and we were nervous, but everything was smooth sailing. Lorrie has an unafraid alpha-dog presence that our boys could sense and they knew they couldn’t cross her. She’s a gem! Thank you Lorrie!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Enola on Rover is $26.75 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 702 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Enola. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Enola walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Enola maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Enola choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
