I had to go out of town unexpectedly and had never used a pet sitter before. Jaden responded almost immediately after I messaged on Tuesday, came for a meet and greet on Wednesday, and was sitting with my dog and cats on Thursday. My dog is very suspicious of everything, and not having used a pet sitter before, I was concerned on how she would react. Jaden was very patient with her. He also kept me updated with pictures and messages on how things were progressing, which made me feel much better. I couldn’t be more pleased with how he cared for my pets and would definitely contact him. Thanks Jaden!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the dog sitter, Sydney! Leaving your pets and home behind while traveling can be stressful, but from the moment we left, I knew everything was in great hands. Our dogs were incredibly well cared for, loved, and treated like family during our entire trip. We received regular updates, photos, and messages that gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. It was obvious that our sitter genuinely cared about our pets’ happiness, routines, and well-being. Reliable, trustworthy, professional, and caring are just a few words I would use to describe the experience. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for someone to care for their pets and home. We will absolutely be using them again in the future!

Sydney did an amazing job taking care of our persnickety little pittie while we were out of town. She was especially mindful of the heat and our dog’s history of heat-related issues. We came home to a happy dog and an orderly house and we are so appreciative of the communication, care and photos we got from her along the way!

The bestest!!!!! If you want someone to watch your cats and feel secure they’re being well taken care of, get Hanna!! She is so caring and makes the extra effort to make our babies feel comfortable and content. One of our kitties is very shy and Hanna did a great job of respecting her space but also making sure she’s fed/doing well. The other kitty that loves attention, Hanna made sure to give it to him! In addition, she made sure the water fountain was filled and the litter box clean! We are so appreciative of her and will definitely work with her again and recommend her care!!!

Our Little Tux is a former feral cat and is very skittish around people other than my husband and me. Becky is a very attentive caregiver and worked with our little gal to ease her stress. We were only gone for a short trip but Becky was able to earn the trust of our young cat so that she came out of hiding. Becky is very responsive and kept us updated with both texts and photos. Thank you, Becky!

Kayla was amazing, this was our first time using the app and it was such an amazing experience. She stayed with Rosco while I had to go into the office. She played with him, fed him, and took him outside. She was also sending updates throughout the day and pictures. I would definitely recommend her to anyone. I will definitely reach out to her again in the future to help us with our boy Rosco.

About: Whether they’re a couch potato or a ball of energy, I will match their energy! I have grown up with a zoo in my house with past experiences with ducks, goats, cats, dogs, parakeets, and even a hedgehog! We’ve always had big dogs in our house so I am very comfortable with larger breeds but I can work with pets of all sizes. I also have experience with working with senior and geriatric dogs including those with dementia. I am a graduate student which means I am often extra available during academic breaks when you might be on vacation! As a student, I have class and clinicals 2-4 days a week but will often have a pretty set schedule. It also means that I am usually extra available during academic breaks! I build trust and take things slowly with the animal so that I don’t stress them out. I can find ways or take suggestions on ways to get them to feel relaxed and safe with me. Your pets’ safety and health will be my number one priority.

Amelie truly came in clutch when another dog sitter canceled 5 days before my trip. I couldn't have asked for a better person! She was amazing with my HUGE grumpy older dog and my HYPER younger 2 year old...and did I mention they are Rotties?!! She was amazing from start to finish. This is truly the first time I came home from a trip and the dogs seemed well loved and taken care of, no anxiety from them at all. Thanks, Amelie! Rover friends, look no further and book her now...just not when I need her ; )

Allyson did an amazing job taking care of Moo Moo for us while we were away. I gave her a lot of advanced warning about Moo Moo not being friendly with other dogs and she followed the proper protocol necessary in order to keep Moo Moo safe. Allyson also left the house in the same condition we left it in. We would definitely book with her again in the future.

About: I graduated with my associate in Veterinary technology in 2022. I have taken care of and worked with all breeds of dogs and cats. I’ll give all of them the same love as I give my own. I am currently working full time at FedEx. Depending on your animals schedules and your requirements I will feed them and walk them bright and early make sure they got all the early morning energy out before I’d need to head out to work. Will clean up any mess if any was made in the process. After work I will go straight to check on the animal and do the same as in the morning feed, walk and play. If your pet is taking medication I will make sure to give it the right amount and at the right time. If you don’t have a fenced in yard I will also make sure I leash them can never be too safe.

About: I've taken care of young and old dogs. I've watched family pets for years and have spent a lot of care on specialized research around animals to ensure I give them the best care I can. I love to play with them, never get bored of watching them and ass I started I pay a lot of attention to detail. I can pick up on all those little details in dogs that many sitters will miss. You could not leave your dog with a safer host. I have a very flexible and open schedule right now. I am willing to work whenever and can plan around caring for your pet. It will be my number one priority. I have an apartment that is free of pets right now so I have the space give your pet some extra room without disruption while they stay with me

Kayla has been taking care of our two dogs, a rough coat collie and cattle dog mix for almost 2 years now. Both of them have their very own unique challenges and personalities, sometimes being very high maintenance. Kayla consistently gives them the attention they need and makes sure to communicate regularly when at our home. Kayla not only takes exceptional care of our fur babies but our home as well. I can not recommend Kayla enough for any pet needs you may have.

FAQs for House Sitting - Beaufort Farms

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Beaufort Farms on Rover is $31.08 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 701 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Beaufort Farms. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Beaufort Farms walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Beaufort Farms maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Beaufort Farms choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Beaufort Farms. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
