“Laura has been absolutely phenomenal with the weekly recurring dog walks. She gained the trust of our skeptical Bernese mountain dog immediately, and of course our golden loves her. Highly recommend!”

About: What sets me apart as a pet sitter is the lifelong experience and genuine love I have for animals. I grew up in a home full of dogs and have always been surrounded by pets, learning early on how to care for them with patience and attention. Today, I have a dog and a cat of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your furry family members. I treat every pet like my own, with kindness, consistency, and a lot of love. Whether it's a walk, a drop-in visit, or just some extra playtime, I ensure your pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you're away. As a teacher on summer break, I have a very open and flexible schedule, which means I’m available throughout the day to give your pets the attention and care they need. Whether it’s a morning walk, midday playtime, or an afternoon check-in, I’m able to provide consistent, dependable care. My background in teaching also means I’m organized, responsible, and great at following routines—qualities that translate well into attentive, loving pet care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize maintaining their routine to help them feel safe and comfortable. I follow feeding schedules, provide fresh water, give walks or playtime, and make sure they get plenty of love and attention. I’m respectful of your home and any instructions you leave, whether it’s about medications, crate time, or favorite toys. If I were to offer care in my home, pets would have a calm, pet-friendly space and lots of companionship throughout the day. No matter the setting, I treat every pet as if they were my own, making sure they feel happy, secure, and loved while you're away.

About: I have been helping care for dogs both personally and as a friend since middle school. I began walking my own dog for an allowance in elementary school and loved it so I began to walk dogs for neighbors and family friends in middle school. Since then I have continued to work with dogs helping friends and family complete basic training (Sit, Stay, Lay, Leave it) and continued to learn more about dog behavior, activity needs by breed and body language. When walking your dog you can expect a minimum of a 1 mile walk/at least 20 minutes of actual walking time (or less if requested due to animal's health and abilities). I will ensure your dog is able to take in the sights and smells along the way and is engaged mentally to get some energy out. I work from home and am pretty flexible around my workday meetings. I have regularly scheduled reoccurring meetings from 9-930 on Mondays and Wednesdays but am flexible otherwise. When caring for your pet in your home you are the boss. I will follow any rules, routines or boundaries expressed by you and agreed to by me. Additionally, I will be respectful of your pet and your space. This means monitoring and respecting their behaviors and body language, keeping a clean space in your home, cleaning any mess made by feeding your animal, and cleaning accidents they may have had if provided the needed tools and supplies. When walking your dog you can expect a minimum of a 1 mile walk/at least 20 minutes of actual walking time (or less if requested due to animal's health and abilities). I will ensure your dog is able to take in the sights and smells along the way and is engaged mentally to get some energy out.

About: I’ve grown up surrounded by animals. I’ve dog sat several times over the span of a decade. I’ve cared for dog breeds of all ages, sizes and personalities. Whether it was daily walks, overnight stays, and followed detailed care routines. I also love to stay active and will provide long walks in the neighborhood or local parks! As a college student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to plan my classes and study time around pet care. Whether it’s starting with a morning walk or stopping by in the afternoon. Typically I am available Monday-Friday. In clients houses, I make it my top priority to care for your space, respect your pets as I would my own home. I stick closely to your pets usual routine for feeding, walks and playtime. And I’ll always keep you updated with photos or messages to see how they’re doing.

“Mary is so great! My dog Luna gets very adorably excited when she knows Mary is coming over for a walk. I totally trust her with Luna and I know they have a good time. Looking forward to rebooking! Thanks, Mary. 😊”

About: For all of my adult life, I have always taken care of people's pets. However, I have taken care of older dogs and cats with health issues who require extra patience and attention. As a tax preparer for a small business, I have the rest of the year to work on things that enhance my life. Being outside and around animals is the the stuff that life is made of! Taking care of anyone's fur-baby is an incredibly important and serious job that often gets disguised as simple tasks - "feed, walk, and take out." However, it is more than that! I try to clearly understand, know, and follow the instructions that owner(s) share for their pet. But, I also try to get to know the individual pet when I meet them. I try to assure them through pats, sniffs, treats, walks, and play that they are loved and that everything will be ok. I often talk aloud and/or read aloud to them because it helps them feel less lonely.

About: I’ve been taking care of animals all my life but have professionally done in the past 6 years! I love spending time around animals and I also stay hyper vigilant if there’s any issues going on! I am currently working in sales where I spend all day in Costco, so I'm looking for a way to get outside and make a new community of friends, and get some walk and play time in with a furry friend! Always more than happy to make time for your pet! I have a cat named Theo and he gets fed on a schedule three times a day, which seems to the perfect mix. I like to keep pets on a schedule and active so that they’re getting all the enrichment and care that they need! If there’s not a fenced in yard, I’m happy to go for a walk!

About: Hello! I’m looking to help you out and take care of your furry ones! I have grown up with pets my entire life (dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, etc.) and currently own a cat. Friends and family have relied on me as a pet sitter, where I provide the best care for their fur babies. I work during the day, so I will be available during evenings/nights and weekends. I may be able to accommodate sitting/boarding services if your pet doesn’t need constant supervision! I live in a pet friendly apartment, where I have 2 cats. While in other people’s homes, I am respectful of their space and leave everything where I found it!

“Katie was great with our dog! She had a fun time on their walk, even in the rain!”

About: I love dogs and animals - they really are the best! I have owned three for many years, raising two from being puppies, and addressing challenging behavior with an older doggo, in addition to fostering multiple rescue dogs. I recently moved to WI, and my pets stayed home with my partner for now, and miss my furry companions and want to provide love and care for yours while I’m here! I am happy to work with you on what’s best, whether that is house sitting, boarding, or simply letting your animals out on walks or to go potty. Let’s chat! I currently work from home and have a remote job, so can provide your dog with any needs or attention that makes sense based on their schedule. I have some in-person meetings that occur throughout the week, and am generally around on the weekends regularly. If planning on boarding or daycare, my apartment is very dog-friendly, with many residents having pets and there are plenty of amenities available, whether walking around the neighborhood on leash or playing in the apartment’s fenced in dog run, that will give your pet what it needs. I can easily crate, take out for potty breaks, etc. I am also mindful of dog reactivity regardless of my own or neighbor’s dogs.

“Karina is the absolute best! She’s caring, empathic, and incredibly responsible. When my dogs were alive, she was always my first choice for housesitting because they adored her and I knew that, even as they aged and needed special care, they were in the best possible hands. My male dog, Caesar, was especially fond of her and she called him her “boyfriend” 💖. When he was dying in the hospital, she came with me to visit him and say goodbye. She will forever be in my heart for that action alone. I highly recommend her for any pet care needs.”

Ashley H.
“I have known Ashley for over 5 years. She is one of the most responsible person I know. She used to have a dog, and I have seen how much love and care she gave him. She is currently a cat mom that loves to spoil him with affection and love. Ashley loves the outdoors, so I have no doubt in my mind that she will be an excellent candidate to walk all the precious puppies in the neighborhood! She also has an experience working at a vet clinic, so she has a eye for detail, and experience to understand the pets needs. I would trust her with all of my own pets!”

Sherman Terrace dog parents share their Rover experiences
Hannah did a great job with our fairly high maintenance standard poodles. She won them over right away and asked great questions. She communicated well and we felt very comfortable having our babies in her care.

Mary was great! Our pup doesn’t tolerate the heat well and she even spent some extra time to make sure she wasn’t over heated after her walk!

Natalee is very kind and conscientious, both to us and our pets. She takes great care of them, and they are always excited to see her!

Bridget was great with our two high maintenance standard poodles. The communication was great and they were well taken care of. We would highly recommend Bridget.

Hannah always takes such good care of my dog! They go on regular walks together and my dog is always worn out and happy afterward!

Jen D. has quickly become one of Gertrude’s favorite people. Jen D. Is reliable and always ready to help out when you’re in a pinch. We highly recommend that you should book Jen D.

I should have done this ages ago, I was struggling last month with pet care but was overwhelmed. Katie made it so easy, helped out with a last minute request, and I was able to relax while out. I definitely will use again!

Becky has been such a pleasure to work with! She is great with our puppy from the get go, and very organized, reliable, and communicative. I’m so happy to have connected with her!

Andrea was great! She was super professional with Monty and kepp me updated with what was going on during his walks. If there were any conflicts with her schedule she gave me plenty of notice to make sure that Monty was taken care of.

Our dog has lived with several major changes in the last 2 months. That, combined with the 95 degree heat wave this weekend have made him a little reluctant to leave me and go outside. Maddie was very good with him and got him out for a walk. I was surprised they stayed out as long as they did. I would definitely use her again.

Kooy really helped out for a last-minute need with my dog, Toliver. Toliver liked him and had a great time on their walks. Would definitely book again.

Holly was fantastic and super flexible with my schedule. Indi was well taken care of and would 100% recommend her going forward.

Kat is absolutely wonderful with my dog. My dog is elderly and in the last year had both of her "ACLs" replaced. Kat was happy to work with us on gradually increasing the length of walks, avoid pulling or pressure, and go at my dog's pace. I would recommend Kat to anyone looking for a dog walker or pet sitter.

We LOVE Nicole. She has a flexible schedule so when we have needed her in a pinch she is always available to help out. Our pup loves going on long walks and is always so excited to see her. She responds timely to requests and has great communication for how the walk went!
