About: I have a wide range of dog experience. Puppies, seniors, reactive, and medicated ones. I am fear free certified and have taken many animal classes and animal behavior classes for my animal science major. Outside of a classroom setting I have worked in a shelter where I was a medical volunteer. This required me to work with dogs that I had no insight to a lot of the dog’s background and always stayed aware of their behavior. A lot of the bigger dogs I worked with were abused, abandoned, or injured and having to work with animals that have trauma like that is heartbreaking but also can affect their behavior towards people. That being said I had to work with dogs that were more challenging and more often than not were labeled aggressive but were actually just scared. I have house sat friends and families before and always send an absurd amount of photos to owners of their fur baby (that’s at least what I prefer) and I have no problem communicating any uncertainties, questions, or concerns to an owner. I would rather be safe than sorry always. I do not have a lot of senior care experience but would love to learn. I took care of a few cases where there were medications twice daily but I know there are more extreme senior care situations I won’t pretend to know how to do but I am eager to do my research and learn from the owner! Fairly flexible. I am a student and barista. My barista job is part time with the average shift lasting around 4 hours and the absolute most I could be scheduled for is 7hrs but that rarely happens. It is also a flexible job where I can get easy covers if needed or swap shifts. I take the better safe than sorry approach when caring for any pet whether it is someone else’s or my own. I will do my research on something I am unsure about which is the reason I have learned so much about my own pet’s compromised immune system. This is why I will not be housing any pets myself but I have practiced many different bio security measures and feel confident all animals will be safe and happy. I am a big communicator and if I have concerns questions or uncertainties I will not hesitate to just ask.

About: I’ve been caring for pets for 10 years and grew up surrounded by dogs and other animals, so taking care of them has always been second nature to me. I’ve looked after pets of all ages, from playful puppies to senior animals that need extra care. What makes me different is my patience and love for animals—I make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while their owners are away. I’m a part-time working student with a flexible schedule, allowing me to dedicate time to pet care. While I balance my studies and work, I can still ensure pets receive the attention, care, and companionship they need. Whether it’s feeding, playtime, or simply providing comfort, I’m able to fit pet care into my routine. I provide pet care in my client’s home, ensuring their pets are comfortable and well cared for in their familiar environment. Since I live in an apartment shared with other students, I’m unable to offer in-home care at my place. However, I’m happy to assist with feeding, playtime, walks, and general care at the pet’s home, making sure they feel safe.

About: I have taken care of cats and dogs at all stages of their lives! From birth to old age, I have bottle-fed and waned puppies, kitten sat, as well as administered insulin shots and oral medications to older cats and dogs. One of my kitties now also takes an oral pill twice daily, so I also have some experience giving cats pills :). I am a full-time student who just moved to Davis! I have a flexible schedule, meaning maintaining strict feeding or medication times should be no problem! I make sure all water sources are clean and replaced regularly, food bowls and cans are rinsed/washed immediately to avoid lingering smells, and do a quick walk-through of the pets' spaces to make sure your fur baby(s) didn't get into things they weren't supposed to. I also love plants, so in my own home, i keep them watered and check regularly for if there are new chomps in them and would be very happy to do the same for you if that is at all a concern :). And, of course, I offer plenty of play time with the kitties!

About: I have been around animals since I could even remember. I am more than capable of taking care of one as I have 3 pets. I have nothing to do during the day besides staying at home and being around family. I just want to see animals and save up. My pets are provided many toys to keep them occupied or if they want to play, and they are given treats when behaved or cute.

About: I have taken care of dogs for neighbors and friends consistently for the last seven years ranging from feeding and taking them out once a day to staying at their house for multiple weeks caring for large and small dogs. I volunteered at a humane society for three years where I worked mostly with walking, entertaining, and caring for dogs. Because of this I have a lot of experience with dogs of different temperaments and have learned how to get dogs out of sketchy situations with other dogs in public. I am currently working part time from 10am - 2pm on Tue/Thur and have class most evenings. Anytime outside of these times can work with my schedule! I am comfortable walking large dogs in public, keeping an eye on them in a pool or enclosed yard, as well as crating them if required. I have a standard sedan and am comfortable taking dogs to parks for walks as well. If I were to transport dogs I would be willing to take whatever measures to assure the dogs safety in the car, which would be up to the owner.
